Freedom or Death. The Marasenna are a race of Anthropomorphic Animals whose hope has been shattered by centuries of subterranean slavery to the Dark Elf Empire that controls the Great Chasm. Our story starts with Eldroth Black, a dark grey wolf who is the champion of his tribe, and the mysterious entity that plants thoughts of freedom in his mind to blossom into a full-scale rebellion.Follow Eldroth as he tries to free the Marasenna from the chains that have oppressed them for so long, while the Entity has much, much larger plans for him.
I loved this book, dark, grim and a touch of gore. Perfect for any dark fantasy lovers. Also includes a bit of magic which I wasn’t expecting but fits very well.
This is definitely a unique story and I was drawn into the world pretty quickly. The fight scenes were my favorite part of the story they were very well written imo. It does include a good bit of violence so if you are squeamish it might not be for you lol.
This was a bit of a different read as I usually read in first person but this story was told in third person, it was still pretty easy to get into despite of that.
I can not wait to see what will happen with the Marasenna race and how they will adapt to the new world they are in and how they will be treated by others. Will Amy be Eldroths new love interest? How are they gonna free the rest of the Marasenna if they are separated? Will they continue their traditions they had within the tribe? I have so many questions lol I loved all of the characters too, Im looking forward to seeing how their individual stories progress throughout the series! Would definitely recommend to any dark fantasy reader.
