Superpower Fun
When a couple of boys rummage through the neighbor's collection of electronic junk, an old VCR has one of the boys, Christopher, intrigued. After fiddling around with his new "treasure", Christopher gets zapped and realizes he now has superpowers beyond belief. As his life starts to change dramatically, a series of events set the ball in motion which stops the bullying, helps save friends and neighbors and give Christopher some self-confidence. These exciting adventures of Christopher and his best friend, Raj, are full of everyday ups & downs of adolescent life through friendships, sportsmanship, family relationships and values. I smiled at the sibling rivalry, cheered when achievements were acknowledged and felt a resolve when self-esteem was finally recognized.
Author Michelini has created a story of encouragement for all youngsters as they mature, grow up, persevere, and embrace their strengths over any weakness. Great storytelling!
