The Vogdian says he will protect me. But if we get out of here alive, will he let me go?
Hilde: The captain of my bounty hunter crew betrayed me. Now I’m a prisoner on an alien warship. Our captors make us play games to the death. Another prisoner, a huge Vogdian male, wants me for his mate. He says we can escape together, but I must do exactly as he orders.
Jerax: The savage aliens brought another batch of prisoners. One of them is a human female. They want me to toy with her, but she is fertile and fearless. The perfect bride. I will fight for her when the games begin. She is mine, and mine alone. This is the day I end my exile.

Magda's books are dark, adventurous, and explicit. In her spare time, she cares for her goldendoodle puppy and bakes with large amounts of cinnamon. She collects tattoos and fancy perfume.
That was an awesome fast paced read, very entertaining and with real fun in between. I laughed out loud at the idea of remodelling the caveman starship - with a herb garden at the wall - The last chapter and the epilogue was a bit rushed, I would have like to see more of how they the dive into their relationship, a tiny bit more development and some more about the background of the Lord and his homecoming. But nevertheless I love this book, complete story, captivating with great characters, well written. Next one please!
Hilde was a computer jacket on a smuggler ship. They were captured and brought into a massive ship. They were captured and herded into a group. There was a female voice telling them that they were there for her amusement only. Hilde fought her way through the crowd, only to be grabbed by alien brute. She fought valiantly only to lose to brute strength and him holding her by her ankle. Then she heard a road and she spotted the red hair of a gaint. A Vogdian and he was looking straight at her. He rescued her. Then when the time came, he rescued her again. You need to read the book for the rest of the story. At the end of the book is when it becomes adult only. It is a fast read but entertaining. I believe you will enjoy the story. It is the story of Hilde and Her as who happens to be a king. Who figured.
We only get a glimpse of a story here. The author just assumes we know what’s actually going on with everything, but we don’t. What’s with the exile, for one thing? It’s never explained. He just gets to decide when it’s over himself? If so, why? Do you even know what exile means? The end is abruptly cut off with hints at the possibility of more, but no promise (much less fulfillment) of it. It could be an excellent story if it’s ever fully written. Until then, don’t bother.
This done in one action packed quick read is a solid stand alone story.
Hilde is part of a bounty hunting crew, honest, they’ve tracked down criminals and turned them in for the bounties... but the day she discovers they are up to more than bounty hunting is an epic day.
Jerax has lived this day before. He has woken in this cell, had his chains pulled... and he is determined that this time, the end result will be different.
Jerax has a plan... then he meets Hilde and has to adapt his plan on the fly.
This story has some great scenes on trust, and relationships.
I have to say that this book was quite packed with adrenaline for an instalove book. The action kinda mixed of maze runner (the-running-from-one-game-to-another part) slash hunger games. It was thrilling to see how the MCs actually met. The romance? not so much aside from the uncontrollable pull of the mating bond between the two; the h didn't have much resistance toward the pull despite how much she didn't know about the H. Plus, there were few things that left unexplained. Few loose ends like why a prince/lord/royal such as the H was on exile and how on earth he could just come back to his people and claimed his title with no question asked. Too short and only gave me a few questions unanswered in the end. I hope there'll be some answer on the sequel though.
Virgin h, it seemed also virgin H No contraception Royal alien H, ordinary human h HEA Overall score: 2.5 incomplete stars
I enjoyed the book up until the last chapter and epilogue. It was so fast that it was somewhat anti-climactic. It was just over. Up until then, I liked Hilde and Jerax. I was okay with them being literally in love at first sight. I thought that was an interesting prospect. However, the ending fell flat. The book needs a little editing too.
I wouldn't consider it anything special or exciting. Very cookie cutter is the best way I can think of putting it. It is very unoriginal and has only the smallest amount of detail. The ending is the length of a footnote and has no real explanation. It honestly feels like a summary.
The concept was good, but seemed like it was so rushed that we had no background story. I like when couples grow and bond. These two had no conversation at all. There was barely any dialogue between them. I get instant love but I need way more substance than what was given
There is a really good story here. The dialog writing was really good, which is usually a big killer for me BUT it needs more "fleshing out". Definitely needs some plumping up. It just needs more in all directions! I hope the author does a rewrite on this one down the road because it has so so much potential.
Good action however I felt that there wasn't that close of a connection between the main characters. There were several areas of the story to add more emotional connections between them.
This story was a good beginning to a series even though it was a bit short for my taste.I hope the next one has more content about the Vogdians.I give it a 3 1/2 stars.
This book had so much potential but with it being so short the characters and world building suffered. The characters are very one dimensional and not much is known about them. I'm afraid I won't be continuing this series.
Who knew Jerax would find his mate on the ship he was held prisoner. They went through a bell of an ordeal trying to be free. I knew once Jerax rescued his mate he was not leaving their jailer alive.
A fulfilling guy meets woman, but loses woman, guy fights off aliens and reaquires woman and well, you get my drift. So short that there really is not a lot of detail.
Exciting book, action scenes were great. Would like to have learned a little more about the Vogdians, hopefully that will happen in the next few books. Love scenes could have been spiced up a bit more, but overall a great book
Usually when a book is short, it doesn’t seem to have either a middle or an end or even a proper villain. This book has it all and covers everything and has a proper ending.
I loved the character building in the beginning followed by a hunger games type completion on an unknown space ship by a tyrant.... was going great and then seemed to rush to an end..... would have like the love story to be fleshed out alittle more
Exciting from the beginning and kept my interest throughout. But suddenly it was over. After the escape the storytelling was hurried to conclusion. Maybe there will be more in the next book.
I really enjoyed this book, read it strait through. A spitfire of a woman and a possessive passionate alien man. What more do you need. I would recommend this book to anyone.
As a 75-page alien romance story, it was okay. I wasn't expecting more than a short diversion and that's what I got. The insta-love and some of the internal thoughts and spoken dialogue were a bit hokey. It had potential.
The story line was going good but then blam! The ending was there and soooo rushed. This would have made a really good like 300 page novel not 75. Felt like a movie on ultra fast forward.
