Elisa S. Amore is the author of the paranormal romance saga Touched. She wrote the first book while working at her parents’ diner, dreaming up the story between one order and the next. She lives in Italy with her husband, her son, and a pug that sleeps all day. She’s wild about pizza and traveling, which is a source of constant inspiration for her. She dreamed up some of the novels’ love scenes while strolling along the canals in Venice and visiting the home of Romeo’s Juliet in romantic Verona. Her all-time favorite writer is Shakespeare, but she also loves Nicholas Sparks. She prefers to do her writing at night, when the rest of the world is asleep and she knows the stars above are keeping her company. She’s now a full-time writer of romance and young adult fiction. In her free time she likes to read, swim, walk in the woods, and daydream. She collects books and animated movies, all jealously guarded under lock and key. Her family has nicknamed her “the bookworm.” After its release, the first book of her saga quickly made its way up the charts, winning over thousands of readers. Touched: The Caress of Fate is her debut novel and the first in the four-book series originally published in Italy by one of the country’s leading publishing houses. The book trailer was shown in Italian movie theaters during the premiere of the film Twilight: Breaking Dawn—Part 2.
In this installment of the demigods academy, Mel has annoyed the goddess of night nix and she has banished her to the cave of memory where she finds the goddess of magic apparently banished way before Mel. Together they entice the hydra to try get them back to Thier world with Lucian and Mel's friends. Her main objective is to find the cave where the fates live and find out why there is no recruits and what is happening to everyone's life lines. They have to try get the to Tartarus and find out what path they must go down to get to the fates. There is a massive suprise at the end that entices you to want to read the next installment My least favourite character is hera she seems cunning My favourite character is Hades his character seems very confident I would recommend this series and I am looking forward to seeing what happens to mel and her friends
The ending was amazing! I love how they found the cave of memories and how Melany found one she was looking for. I love that she was able to get the realities right again but it sucks that Cassandra was hurt during that. I love that Aphrodite finally was useful and helped them in their mission. I loved that Hectate came back and Charon is helping her as well.
It won't let me give a 3.5. Honestly the story is intriguing while slow at parts. It's defintly a pre teen book and it feels like it was wrote by a highschooler at some parts. But overall the story is enough to keep me reading the books
I really liked the cliffhanger and the way Melany and the others fight and the type of understanding they show to solve the mystery. But this is it. This is where my liking ends. The naivety that Mel shows with Hades and Lucian thing is hella frustrating. Why can't Hades be just her mentor, a friend and a great companion and Lucian be her love interest? Also, the concept of the disappearance of Persephone sucks .Was it just to clear the path of Hades? Honestly, I don't know. I still don't understand the fact that all the mighty immortal beings are just audience. What's their significance then? Just to be a teacher and manage academy? Bc this is what I understand without knowing behind the scenes. A group of young adults busy worrying about the world and the actual creators just sitting and watching? That shouldn't be the case I guess. Mel is unlikable in the 4th and 5th book, atleast for me. Another thing that's bothering me is, why make Cassandra Lucian's love interest and then make her remember every bit of at and a bit to Lucian. Ugh!! I guess my patience just reached its limit. I don't think so I can continue this series anymore .

The writing is always on point, as expected with these authors! I loved the storyline, the mythology, and the mystery. What did I not love? Melany. Both in the past book and this book she has been a bit difficult to like. I love how BA she has become but her lack of maturity when it comes to the whole Hades/Lucian situation is so. Dang. Frustrating. I love her fighting spirit, but I hate the way she treats Lucian. I really want them together, but in order for that to happen, she needs to be honest with him. She needs to apologize to him. I think their whole yin/yang dynamic could be fireworks. I liked the addition of Cassandra, I HATED the added romance component. In the final read, I want Melany to learn to let go, choose Lucian, mature, and become goddess of the Underworld-no Hades. I just feel like we have seen Melany grow so much in this series and I want her to round out to the best she can be. The ending was great, a solid cliffhanger that left me hungry for the next book.
To say the least….that was interesting read. So many unanswered questions and so many more adventures that lead to a big mystery. I don’t like that the gang ended up finding stuff that could start a war all over again. Let’s hope Mel finds out who wants her dead and is not really a friend. I hate that she and Lucian are not getting together and a new girl is coming in between the especially since the one I wanted her with is dead…or is he? Idk the answer to that but I will read on to find out.
I love this series of books and the new way the authors have manipulated the stories of the Greek Gods and Goddesses! Melany is a brilliant lead, a non-hero that you can relate to. She's not always pure of heart and is going through her own personal trials as well as trying to fix the world with her friends.
Can't wait for the next (and final) book in the series! Luckily I don't have to wait too long!
This series is great. It’s fast paced, interactive and keeps you on your toes. Melany and the gang don’t half get up to some mischief and this book is no exception. However it is a little different in the time it’s set well sort of. Confused yes so was I until I got further into the book and was fully able to understand what was going on. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Spoiler alert! Daddy Hades dies, the author literally spends the whole 3 books dangling the hope of him returning like a carrot. Melanie dies at the end sacrificing herself for her friends. She ends up in a dream worlds with Hades and they make a statue of her. That’s the grand ending for her story. Not going to read the next season as it does not involve her or any of the others and this is the kind of thing you expect from YA academy series. Bye
Multiple times in this book Mel mentions years passing. It’s been years since Sophie died apparently and years since she came to the academy? I feel like the timeline doesn’t make sense. Also it’s not clear why she thinks Revana’s (probably misspelled that name) death was her mistake. The whole series has had inconsistencies but this book seemed to have the most. Still a fun story, thanks for being on Kindle Unlimited
Mel winds up getting obliterated by Nyx and finds Hecate in the same predicament. Because of this Lucien has a relationship with Cassandra. When Mel gets back and their memories are restored they go on a mission to Tartarus to speak to Aphrodite. Mel still doesnt know who to trust and things get hectic as they try to find the Cave of Memories.
Cassandra and Luciens relationship is an interesting wrinkle. I cant wait to see how this turns out.
Awesome read. Another brilliant episode to demigods academy. Its only downside... they're too short. I could read Full novel size books in this great story, and still it wouldn't be enough.
I'm desperately wanting the return of hades.... his character was amazing.
Good book but they need better proof readers and editing
I love the book and the characters but you have to keep your details in line. Sophie is her aunt not her mom. How can you change that without noticing? Also you change your story from book to book. The first time Lucian and melany had sex was in his bed not by the lake.
I have enjoyed this series. I would recommend it to all ages. Again I think it would make a great TV series. I hope you enjoy the series as much as I have. I don't tell what is in the books I read. That is for you to read and find out. Off to my next adventure. There's a lot of stuff happening in this book.
Melany and crew are trying to figure out what’s going on with time and fate. Someone is trying to bring Zeus back. Melany gets zapped into oblivion. Now it’s up to her and Hecate to get back to the academy. Now Thst everything is right again it’s time for another mission. To find out where the fates cave is. They need to fix time and fate but will they?
Ya know. Melany is easily one of the most unlikeable leads I've ever come across. She brass, doesn't know when to be quiet, rude as hell, and needs to really be real with herself about her lovelife. But.......there's something about her that I just love. Can't put my finger on it, but I do love the girl. Can't wait to see what she continues to get into next.
What would you do if you had someone you loved in your hands?
This book reveals a lot of things, and also makes you wonder about other things happening as Mel searched for the Fates. The final book is next, let's see what happens!
This was a boat load better than the last one. How she didn't work that before then though is somewhat mind-boggling. That girl justcannot stop getting herself in trouble, and honestly? She kinda deserves it.
Things are getting interesting for Melany and her friends while they try to find out what happened to the Fates. A little more action happens in this book, so I think things will really speed up in the next one.
I took a mini book break then jumped out in this series that is so very well written and characters that literally jump through the pages. A story line that you didn't see coming with endings that leave you gasping for more.
I am beginning to dislike their 'cliffhanger ' format. Something about where they choose to end the books is not right in my opinion. The storyline is still good, can't quite put my finger on what's so irksome.
I am happy that I am continue this series, after I had started at the beginning of this year and I became obsessed with it. I would have loved it more than i did now, for now this book was okay. but I will read the other books
Mel is once again defying the odds and overcoming huge obstacles the crazy demented Gods and Godesses put in her path. I am looking forward to the last book.
Love, Love, LOVE this series! But this entire book was just a lead up to the next with not much happening. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great like the other ones either 🤷🏼♀️
The story and characters are as good as ever. Tons of action. Love the characters. But the proofreading is starting to lack the farther into the series you get.
