Thirteen-year-old Ben Archer has decided to reveal his alien powers to the media. Not because he wants to, but because he thinks it will help him get his message out to the world. Unfortunately, things don't go as planned when the media portrays his skill like a circus sideshow.
And not all eyes that are watching are friendly...
When Ben is kidnapped, Mesmo spares no effort to find him. He thinks the rebellious Wise Ones and mysterious UFO sightings may have something to do with Ben’s disappearance. But when he goes to investigate, he uncovers an earth-shattering threat instead - one that could cost him his life.

A stunning entry in this excellent series. In the course of the engrossing story, Ben talks to some horses, a snake and a falcon, and his communication ability becomes enhanced. At first it seems as if the kidnapping is a mere digression to fill in the time to the Great Gathering, but it proves a valuable experience for Ben as he grows both in controlling his powers and in emotional understanding. Being separated from Mesmo at this time will also be crucial, I think. The ending is really suspenseful. Well played!
Adventure and Twists at Every Corner! Ben and Mesmo are WAY over their heads in this book, and it doesn't seem there will be a moment to breathe for either of them as the fate of earth looms disastrously close ahead. A truly seat-gripping, heart-pounding adventure with a cliffhanger that will have you begging for the next book to come out soon.
This is book five of the Ben Archer (Alien Skills Series )
This was another amazing addition to this amazing series so much happened in this book a lot of questions have been answered but a lot more remain . Just so you know AUTHOR I hate cliffhangers like what you have us at the end of this book . Also there was so much back stabbing going on my the Aliens that I was like okay the Aliens really want this war so much so that they were willing to kill their own just to make it happen . I just hope that Meso survives and all the traitors get what they deserve .
Audiobook: I enjoyed book five as much as the others in the series. I was on tenterhooks after the kidnapping of Ben. The whole story kept my attention as each scene unfolded. I liked the new characters that were introduced. I felt for Laura and Mesmo as they worried about Ben and what was happening to him. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I enjoyed A. W. Dickson's narration, and his performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
An Adventure Packed with Cultural and Eye-Opening Experiences.
Ben is alone this time when he is kidnapped, thrown into a country completely different from his own, and asked to complete a task that goes against his morals in order to return home. Even worse, he is saddled with putting up with an arrogant teenage rich boy. It appears Ben may be stuck where he is forever, where he won't be able to save the world from an extraterrestrial war that is much closer than he and Mesmo realize. Not that the humans of earth believe there are aliens, or that there is anything to worry about at all. Everything is just a show to them. Readers will enjoy this tale into human and animal behavior, the consequences of one's actions, and the importance of not giving up even before the face of the impossible. They will also find this book very well told, with details and descriptions that give full immersion. This book is absolutely difficult to put down. Praise to the author for another outstanding addition to the series!
A fantastic fast-paced plot with enough twists and turns to keep you reading! Ben is a lovable protagonist and the setting is Dubai, one of my fave cities to visit. Highly recommended!
