Travel agent, Molly O'Brien doesn't like taking risks. She is happy with her quiet Las Vegas life. Her mom and best friend have other plans.
When her mother enters her into a competition to win a home design makeover by lesbian house flippers Flick and Kim, Molly's life is turned upside down.
Flick Prescott's life is picture perfect. She has a wife and two kids, plus a popular house flipping show. Pity it's all a big fat lie. Her real name is Flick Franklin and Kim is her best friend not her wife. The worst part, she doesn't even like being famous.
Sparks fly when Flick and Molly meet. Both are determined to keep their distance. Both are keeping secrets. Does meeting Molly's hero flip her heart into love or is this relationship destined to flop?
I really enjoyed this story. Both Flick and Molly are sweet, kind women who are always taking care of everyone they care about. Now, they have to figure out how to learn to take care of themselves!
Comedy of errors and mixed messages this is a romance novel not reality
Mix lying mothers and best friends, throw in a fake marriage a mom not really dead and an aeful blackmailing ex girl friend. Blend thoroughly, throw in love, too many misunderstandings to be almost slapstick or a farce... Yes there is an HEA but uo until almost the last page i didnt expect tge HEA. It's completely unbelievable and most likely in reality would've included lawyers, llaesuits and more,. Its a classic farce but enjoyable butvyou wish you coukd yell at the main characters
DNF, gotta be honest. I liked this book quite a lot until the author got too cutsie with milking the storyline and trying too hard to make it a funny, whacky rom-com. For me, it lost its charm. In fact, about 3/4 into this story is when gave up. This is the first installment of a series and I plan to read the author’s other works, since she does have talent. This book just went into a spin I didn’t want to follow…
Ok so I read the 2nd book first. And the 1st book after the 2nd.... lol
Yeah I'm weird like that.... anywho...
I enjoyed the 2nd books so much. I wanted to read the 1st one so I did. And I found it to be just as good a read. As the 2nd one was. I think you might enjoy it as well.
This is a nice sapphic rom-com of the be careful about the secrets you keep type. The main characters are well developed and rounded out. It has good quality dialog and is nicely short in the use of cliches. There are a few sexy scenes, but they are only mildly graphic. All in all, it's a very nice read.
Flipped was such a fun read. There's laughter and tears, a fake marriage, lies, and blackmail. Sounds like the perfect path to a happy ending - Not! But Flick and Molly do (finally) get their happy ending after a whole lot of miscues and misunderstandings. You just have to hang on tight and enjoy the ride.
Imagine not taking risks, even to your biggest item on your to-do list. Imagine being in a fake marriage, reality TV show. Molly has her life turned upside down, when she is entered into home make over, sparks fly when she meets the duo about to renovate her home. Filled with chemistry.
The main characters in this story spend a great deal of time and effort lying about several key issues. In addition, there are a few plot threads that fade out without resolution. In amongst all of this it is difficult to buy into Molly and Flick developing a loving relationship.
