This book is a non fiction which is divided into eight chapters sharing all the experiences author has witnessed since childhood to becoming a writer.

She has started this book describing a beautiful relationship which she shares with her grandfather and how much value he has added in terms of morals, life lessons in author's life. I personally loved this chapter as it was so insightful and added some cents of value in my life as well.

As we move ahead in the book, we get to explore life of author where she was equally anxious about everything but still thrilled to try on different things. She used to dance, write and also contributed towards NGOs which was so inspiring for me to know. She believed in "Jack of all trades and master of none" as she really wasn't in support of being good at one single thing.

Writing style of this book is extremely simple or I will say raw. I feel this book will be a decent read for beginners who are trying to start reading but not sure which one to read for simple language.

However i started feeling that I am reading someone's diary and not a book after few chapters. This was a let down for me as language is not at all bookish and it was sounding more of a diary entry or personal chats where someone is describing each and everything to me about their whereabouts. I guess narration could be so much better even if it is non fiction because after some chapters, I was not interested in reading diary entries. I was looking to draw out some teachings/values or any kind of entertainment at least.

What I liked about this book is how much honest she was with this book as when you will read this book then you will realize that author is not seeking any sort of acceptance from her readers.

Everyone has their different writing styles and way of doing work, which I highly appreciate. What other people are liking, I may not like and vice versa.

In this book she explains how Ramakrishna Math has a special place in her life, how pursuing Law created her a bit newer, about her one month internship course and many things... Plainly, I could define this book as her life incidents written in an admirable way.

If you are type of person who loves to read something emotional and real, you can certainly pick this one. Reading about real time experience is rather a good experience! If you are someone who wants awaits for twists and turns and terrible fictions, then don't go for this book. It is surely for someone who loves non-fiction stories.

Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.

The Wings of a Blue Butterfly is a beautiful compilation of stories. These stories recount cherished reminiscences of the author Janani Devulapally, including a myriad of subjects like happiness, hope, friendship, and love for nature. A reader can see that she strives to explore herself to realize one’s influence over changing times, minds, and the people around. Also to treasure memories.

This book, these 93 pages, will make you think and will urge you to embrace your foibles.

I found myself lost in the stories. The thing that kept me glued to this book is the optimism each story holds. I love anthologies and this one did not disappoint me. The writing and the narration are in the first person and are simple yet could have been better. Owing to the simple language, this book could be a decent read for beginners. My favorite thing about this book is the candid writing and honesty that the author carried throughout the book.

The stories in the book are very relatable. The book, in its purest way, is a flawless package of love, values, family, hope, and empathy. There are 8 short stories that will leave you highly motivated. I think this kind of book is important as we, generally, are busy and lack motivation in our lives.

I highly recommend it if you love to read something moving and real, you should not miss this book. And this book is definitely for someone who loves non-fiction stories.

Leaving you with some beautiful lines from the book:

“The beauty lies everywhere in this nature
It can be anything,
Happiness or joy,
Loneliness or coy,
Just like the flowers bloom as per their seasons,
You will bloom according to your times.”

Family has and always will be the most integral pat of our lives.
This book showcases the above statement perfectly.
The book revolves around authors life and how she became the person she is by implying the lessons she learnt from her family and teachers.
It's like reading a beautiful diary with life lessons and so much to relate to.

🦋 " There is a lot in you;
Extract it with your efforts,
And try to use it for your benefits.
Never interfere in others' matters
As unknown is the latter;
Things get better sooner...
But you are your own inspiration,
This is what you need to remember! "

I love these lines a lot that I couldn't give a review without quoting these lines from the author's secret diary.

🦋 ' The Wings of a Blue Butterfly' is an anthology of the author's personal life and experiences. The writing style is simple yet beautiful. I finished the book in a single sitting and it was a soothing experience. It consists of 8 short tales which explores the author's transformation from the beginning of her life till now.

🦋 Childhood is the most joyous and fruitful days of our lives so as to the author. She used to listen to her Granny's stories and enjoyed her Granpa's love. Her Grandpa is her superhero and the reason behind many of her habits and achievements. Infact Grandpa was the author's greatest inspiration. The author shares a great bond of love with her family: her mom, dad and brother (who is her fav). Moreover, her family is her pillar of strength.

🦋 In the coming tales she talks about the impact 'Ramakrishna Math' had created on her and how she became a volunteer of 'Voice Camps'. She also explains her life after she joined the law till she became an advocate and after.

🦋 This book helped me to go back to my school days and remember my K V memories as I'm also a K V product. The author is so simple in character and so kind and strong in personality. There's a lot to gain from these stories and her life. Overall I loved the book and I request all book lovers to read it inorder to know how to live a more peaceful life."

For me, short stories always work. I feel mesmerized by how the authors can actually express their feelings by stitching emotions and their personal life experiences. I firmly believe that every experience teaches us something good and left with something great. Like that Janani Devulapally has shared her life experiences in beautiful short stories in her book “The Wings of a Blue Butterfly: Tales of Cherished Memories”.
__
In the book, she shares various memories that she admired a lot and gained too. In a total of 8 stories, the last one 'Love is where you find it' has something very heartwarming for me. I was so attracted to the book as I read the title of the book and saw its cover. That made me feel very fresh. I like the way the author described how his grandpa has a vital role in her life. I too believe that our grandparents play a great role in our life. The life lessons we learn from them is something worth getting a guide.
__
Talking about other stories in the book. They are so relatable and ordinary but she has expressed extraordinarily. The book, in other words, is a complete package of love, the importance of friendship, admiration for mother nature, valuing little things in life, staying close to family, giving hope, taking blessings and understanding people around us.
__
Now talking about writing style, language is good and easy to understand. Any layman can easily grasp the storyline of each story. The vocabulary used in the book is also moderate and very casual. The narration of each story felt to me connective.
__
I would definitely like to recommend this book to all short story lovers and who want to read quickly and something good.
