Great Job- Linking Two Vitamins to Overall Health

As a retired physician, I was truly impressed by the beautiful, yet simple way that the author showed the linkage between many and varied symptoms AND the hormone/vitamin D3 and the Vitamin K2. The fascinating story was how one, D3 improves calcium absorption from the gut and this is then “taken into the bones “. But what if the calcium did not all go into the bones but instead went into the soft tissues of the body. In particular, what if it went into the blood vessel walls.

The arteries would decrease in size and at some point in time, the blood supply would be cut off and a “heart attack “ would ensue. All of this does occur and as you see, this has nothing to do with cholesterol. That theory is not thought to bogus.

In addition to Vitamin D3, there is the other Vitamin K2, its job is to prevent the calcium from precipitating into the non-bone parts of the body.

Curiously, our deficiency in Vitamin D comes about by no being exposed to the ultraviolet rays of the sun (these rays cannot penetrate glass) and the sunscreens and working indoors there is no opportunity for the interaction between them and a chemical in the skin- which results in Vitamin D2 and eventually D3. K2 comes primarily by way of fermented foods ( cheeses and fruits and vegetables. ) Again, the modern diet, has very little of these. Net results is calcification of soft tissue and heart and artery.

Learning about this interplay could, indeed, save your life. Many doctors will have no real understanding of the process.
