***This short novella is intended to give this series a different point of view. This story is not required to be read between Book Two and Book Three. Book Three will begin where Book Two left off.***
Told from Ivan's point of view.
Ivan has a war brewing inside of him. He can’t escape the messes that he’s made and he can’t seem to figure out how to fix his relationship with Harper. He feels more like an outsider rather than part of the clan. It doesn’t help that he also feels as if Harper is replacing him with Silas. Struggling to contain his inner demons Ivan realizes that he can’t fight them on his own. He needs Erik. He needs James, and he needs Harper most of all. Meanwhile, the search for Silas continues. Just when they lose hope of finding him Harper reveals a clue to where Marcus may have hidden him. The clock ticks as the clan and Ivan rush to find Silas. Just when everything comes together, Ivan faces the reality of mortality. Thanks to one of Marcus’s traps Ivan’s life is put at risk. He realizes that this might be the end, but he’s not going down without a fight. He’s got too much to live for. Will he survive? With a little luck, he might.

While this book progressed the overal story it didn’t do anything to really redeem Ivan or even really give me some insight to his reasonings for doing what he did. He says he sorry but yet he won’t beg for forgiveness. He’s too wrapped up in himself to do the right thing by Harper. Harper deserves an explanation and for him to beg! Erik begged and he didn’t do what Ivan did. The problem is that Ivan KNOWS what he needs to do but he just doesn’t. In all truth Ivan’s walking very close to being unredeemable because he just simply doesn’t try to be.
The good thing is that while Harper feels for him and still cares she’s not just overlooking everything. She’s not giving in easily and that makes me proud of her. Ivan has a long road ahead of him and some serious growing up to do. Now with Silas back he’s got an even harder fight coming his way.
This is Ivan’s story and from his point of view. Silas has gone missing and Harper wants him found so Erik and Ivan go searching for him, Ivan has a dark side and he can’t help letting it out in his thoughts but because they are all connected Erik knows what he’s thinking. Ivan’s having trouble controlling his dark side he’s hungry and he forgot to take blood bags with him, he see’s a girl that looks exactly like Harper he flips her car and drains her dry. This is a short story and it’s another fantastic addition to this series and I can’t wait to read the others so if your a fan of the Vampire Diaries then your going to love this series just as much as I do. A fantastic story a 5 plus +++++ ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
I have hesitated to write a review until now because while the books have a great story line, there are constant mistakes (I.e. wrong name used, the same person making opposite statements, etc) that detract from the ability to enjoy the book. Additionally, incorrect words are used frequently. The main character comes across as weak and selfish but I’m pretty sure that she is meant to come across as the opposite. All of this being said, if you are able to overlook the need for editing, these books are enjoyable, quick reads.
Another really good book. I love how these books tell the perspective from another character's point of view. This book takes place in between Blood and Eternal. The author does a really good job letting the reader see Ivan's perspective of the situation at hand, along with his emotions, feelings, etc. It adds to the story even more and gives more information to why Ivan does what he does and answers a few more questions before heading on to book 3.

This book was given to me by booksprout. I am leaving this review freely. I am truly enjoying this series. I am enjoying watching these young people learn, love and adapt to life and where it takes them. I hope they enjoys life and all it offers. Hopefully they are able to live and love for a long time. Got to find the next book to see how things are going so far. The ending is a bit rough but very much still enjoyable. Hope to see you on the other side.

This is the POV of Ivan after the fact. He will do everything in his power to right the wrong that he did with Harper but not without drama that is for sure.

He is so screwed up inside as he is unsure what he should do or how he feels about her. He needs to sort things out and you will see his side of the story so enjoy a different point of view

I like that between the main books the author has written a story so that way we can see what is going on with on of the guys from the story. I like the short stories that give more depth into each of the characters. The writing is good and you can see the progression of skills from the author.
Quick read but a good one. This book gives you the inside and another point of view. Interesting read. I was given this book via Booksprout and I give my honest review
