Rate this book
When life ends, the world remains…

From a desolate countryside hours away from the city, a group of friends watch the only lives they have ever known end after an unprovoked attack burns their home, Acadia, to the ground. Sterling Blackwell had just gotten used to her new life. When her family sent her to live in the city after spending her entire life in a small town near the war-zone, she had to learn a whole new way of life. Now, that life is gone.

Sterling and her friends must return to the ruins of Acadia to search for survivors. Along the way, they are forced to face their darkest fears and the very worst of humanity. If they are going to survive, they will have to be stronger and braver than their enemies. In what remains of their world, no one can be trusted and nothing is guaranteed except the inevitable truth that not all of them will survive.

Great story

I love how the author was able to bring the beginning in the end together making it all come full circle. This is a very good story with Realistic And fantasy all rolled into 1.It was very nice to have a young female as the leading character This makes a good book for teens, young adults and older folks who don't want a lot of graphic Story line. It was nice that the author maintained a level of innocence for the main character despite everything that was happening around her. This is definitely a series I would enjoy being 15 books long!

Simply Amazing Work!

This storyline is so fantastic! I am very curious to find out more from this series. Sterling and Storm are my main focus and the way the first book ended, I already purchased the second book and am looking forward to this continuance of excellence.

I knew it would go this way

No spoilers. You read ones like this and you know that you have to keep going for multiple books. Despite the typos in this book, I enjoyed the familiar dystopian themes and teen love. Not sure I will go on to the next book and see what happens after the cliff hanger ending though.
