Loverboy: Protection Brotherhood World: Chicago Protection Task Force Book 3 is written by Leanne Tyler. Again, most of the book is simply a repeat of the first book to give the background and the last part is also a repeat. Only the middle is different. Jules works as a counselor at the youth center. She was really worried about the future of the center as budget cuts were being made and once again, the center was targeted. She had a major meeting the next day; but she had to be with her best friends to celebrate Carly’s divorce. The girls had a great time until closing. Jules left first and headed for the “L”. The others were inside when three guys came in to rob the bar and ended up killing the bartender. Jules heard the shots and headed back to check on her friends. She saw a black car with Twin Cobras on it. She got the license number and gave it to the officers when they arrived. As she was insisting on going to find her friends, she was interrupted by a gorgeous man. He introduced himself as Will McLeod, her protector for the next few days. This was verified by Captain Burns and he procured a car for them to take them to her apartment. The two of them worked things out so that she attended work and he talked to the kids at the center and helped entertain and teach them too. Then, things began to get rough for her. Could Will protect her?
Jules is out with her friends celebrating her friend's freedom from her divorce. She works with the youth center. After the incident at the bar, she is now under protection. Will works with Brotherhood Protectors but if they can get the funding, he will be Chicago with a task force. He is now in charge of protecting Jules. Twin Cobras is a gang that is out to recruit one of the teens from the youth center. Jules is trying to get him to stay away from them. Jules is now missing. Can Will find her? Will he stay in Chicago for the task force and hopefully build something with Jules?
Will and Jules are my favourite couple of the series so far! They are both so good with the kids from the centre, approachable without being a pushover and perfect for each other. I love the set up of this series, that all four books are linked with one main central event and crossover coversations, a great twist. I read the first three books in this series on Kindle Unlimited and I am looking forward to the final book in the series, no release date yet!
Loverboy: Fantastic writing and I love that Itasca continuation of the other two books. I liked how the guys work so well together and Jules and her friends but off with the guys in more ways than one. Great characters and I like that Hank wants to branch out. I really enjoyed the surprises and suspense.
Ok I admit I did skip some of this book..this is the third book in the series and while it is from will and Jules's point of view, it is very repetitive in some ways from books 1 and 2, those parts I skipped having read them in hooks 1 and 2, I will read book 4, but I am prepared to skip any repeating chapters.
Will met Jules when he was assigned to protect her. She had seen the car and could identify the 2 gang members who did the shooting. Will and his friends were there on loan to the Chicago police. They were afraid that the gang members would come after Jules and Will wanted her safe.
Excellent addition to this series. There is plenty of action, steam and new beginnings. Jules witnesses a car driven by the Twin Cobra gang members before she hears the shots. She just left the club to walk home and her friends were still in the bar. Worried for their safety she runs back, but the police are already there. She's been given a protector, Will (Loverboy) who is assigned to her. There's some give an take between these two, but he's bound to keep her safe or die trying. There were some errors in this book. HEA.
A group of friends go to a bar for girls night out and up being protected by members of the Brotherhood Protectors in town meeting with the Chicago police.
