After my fiancé, my daughter’s mother, walked out on us, Charlotte Duvall was there. She’s my best friend, my sidekick, and I can’t imagine my life without her. She’s been my ride-or-die since we were little, but now she’s leaving and there’s nothing I can do to stop her. Weston Banks is my best friend, my confidant. When his ex walked out on him and Hadley, I stayed close to help him try and pick up the pieces. I love that little girl like she’s my own and I’ve never considered a life without either of them in it. Well, that was true until I got an offer for my dream job—a position as an editor at Indie Ink Publishing. Now I have to make a choice. Do I stay here or do I take a chance to live out my dream in New York City? A roller coaster of emotions hits me when Charlie announces her decision to strike out on her own. Now it’s a race against the clock. Do I tell her how I really feel about her or do I let her walk away?
Cheri Marie is an author, reader, event organizer and most importantly a fur-mama. She is a Florida girl, currently residing in beautiful North Carolina. A lover of animals, it’s no surprise that Cheri has what some would call, a zoo of animals. When she isn't writing stories that transport you to another world, or wearing one of her many hats, she enjoys photography and music. Also on her down time, she enjoys spending a day on the water, fishing with her brothers.
This was a story on a series of mistakes and timings; Love is indeed about timing. I guess when you read it as a whole, the story was all about trying to make the right of all your past mistakes and getting your one who-got-away. And it could kinda suck to read, especially the game of tug-and-war between two best friends, who're juggling their feelings and trying to get their acts together. But, one thing I liked for sure was how the author wrote the h character. She was fierce inside, confidence, and knew for certain that she didn't want to settle as being 2nd best, in anything. Self-respect and self-love. The story was definitely tangled here and there and too-close-to reality for some complicated couples out there, but it was bittersweet and showed that if you determined, anything is possible.
