A gripping saga of courage and resilience from the bestselling author of The Guardian Angel
Violet Daniels isn't perfect. She’s made mistakes in her life, but the deep love she has for her five-year-old twins is beyond dispute.
When their feckless and often violent father turns up out of the blue, demanding to see them, she’s terrified he might snatch them from her. She flees with them to a place of safety where she meets the handsome and charming Gabriel Stone. He shows her a better way of life, but is he everything he appears to be?
Violet decides to stop running and finds the courage to return to London to confront the children's father. There she finds a far greater evil than she ever thought possible.
How far will Violet go to protect her children?
Set against the background of two very different worlds in Edwardian London’s East End this is the second in the Hope Series.
Perfect for fans of Catherine Cookson and Dilly Court.

I really enjoyed this book and the other one about Hope i enjoyed both Violets was a very traumatic experience how awful for all the family she was a bit of a hothead sometimes but she loved her children any mother would have done the same thing to protect them thank goodness for Silas and Gabrial to have been there to help her.I will be reading more of this author in the future.
This is my second read in the Hope series by Kay Seeley who is a new author to me. I have enjoyed both books and must say that you must read them in sequence to keep up with the storyline. Once I got into this book like the other one I could not put it down. Kay Seeley is now on my list of authors to read. I recommend this book and A Girl Called Hope (Book 1).
I have exhausted most of Anna Jacob's books and I am really pleased to have found such a good author. I have thoroughly enjoyed both Hope series books and I am now going to look for another.
This book follows on after book one, so you really should read the first.this book takes us on a journey with violet and her thoughts but we also flip to hope sometimes also, she comes across different to me not like the hope we knew from book one but could just be me I missed the closeness she had with her hubby it was there but not much he was busy trying to help violet.Peter just felt wrong to me not sure why as he showed loyalty from the beginning.
A wonderful sequel to "A Girl Called Hope." Love, action, and a kidnapping propels the story forward it was cool seeing what became of the characters five years after the previous book
