This series has a lot of potential. I did receive a free copy for my review, but I felt it was more of a beta copy that I received. I felt that the story was rushed and did not give much detail about the story line or the characters. Sometimes it read like it was now and then in the next sentence it had been days or months. I think if this book is revised good it could be a great read.

this read a bit like a beginning author writing the first draft of their first book. saying the same thing but in different words one paragraph after the next. it drove me nuts. it took me twice as long to get through the first chapter as it usually does for me to go through three times the pages because I had to keep convincing myself to keep going. It really was annoying. Also, it was rushed like the author had no idea how to build up the characters and world. I won't be reading the second one for sure.

Some good ideas, a nice premise but felt very rushed and lacking in details. Some plot holes. A pity.
