Sometimes the living are worse than the dead. To survive, unforgiving realities must be faced. Despite the safety offered by the thick concrete walls of the jail, they realize that their sanctuary could become their tomb. In the night sky above the city, they will learn for certain that they are not alone. Soon, they discover that another group survivors may be a bigger threat to their survival than the zombies. Finding their lives in jeopardy, they must decide if they will find a new place away from the others or if they are willing to go to war with a group known only as the Freemen. In the darkest hour of the Zombie Apocalypse, there is a storm coming. Will they survive the Reckoning?

I like hat he author has included brief explanations of the military terminology that he has used in this series. I love that Amazon reads is connected to Google so I can get the opportunity to look up weapons that are referenced. Grant has gone through such an ordeal in this book it was heart breaking but to have the gift offered to him by Top at the end was extremely touching. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read what D.A Roberts has stated "A thinking man's zombie apocalypse"! (Please forgive if I messed the quote up.) It gives an amazing different perspective of zombie apocalypse novel.
I like this book as much as I did three. It kept the saga alive and interesting which is generally hard to do after three books in a series and look forward to reading book 5
Loved both the characters and storyline. Each volume gets better and better. Really love this series so far. Each books just as good if not better than previous one.
