Caught Between Worlds

Rate this book
Balancing life as a vampire and human is harder than she thought… Ever since Sadie decided to hide her vampirism by masquerading as a normal sixteen-year-old high school student, her world has plunged into chaos. Still a clumsy mess who attracts trouble and embarrassment like bees to honey, she’s navigating a slew of the fallout from an explosive Homecoming queen showdown, knocking out the school’s newly returned golden girl in gym class, and falling head-over-heels in love with Cam, the supposed bad boy of the school. As a test subject in a secret experimental vampire program gone wrong, Sadie also has a target on her back. To erase all traces of the failed program, the elite vampire First Families want her dead and have gone to extreme measures to make it happen. Now Sadie must deal with a shadowy stalker who seems to relish the hunt, using her and her loved ones as pawns in a sinister game of his own making. Can she survive his schemes and protect her friends and family at the same time?

So confused!!!!

I’m just so confused! The ending was rushed and didn’t mesh with the rest of the book or series. How did she end up with her biological mom? Her injuries that were stated didn’t add up to the fact that she had to learn to walk again. What were the visions she was seeing while she was blacking out? The whole Dekker situation at the end was a complete blur.
I had been waiting for the third book to come out but it was so disappointing. The flow felt very different than the first two books.

I was really disappointed with this book!!! A whole lot of nothing happend and I feel like the writer just wanted to make an extra buck with this one before she writes the final book (well I read she is going to write one more) I hope she is going to write another book because if this is the final one then I would like to reduce the 1 to a zero, there was just WAY to many holes left open. Worst ending ever! I really loved book 1 & 2 and was soooooo excited to read this one but Alison ruined it for me.

The ending is so abrupt and leaves many unanswered questions. Who drove her out of the city? What WAS she injected with by Kade's grandmother? What was happening when she was "watching herself be attacked by Dekker" (or whatever that was that happened)? How did she end up with her birth mom? Why is she so content to let her friends think she died - and CAM?! What about her vampire parents and siblings? How was Mrs. Stratha involved? How did Coach Anderson get involved to tamper with her car? Is she still a vampire? What about the others from The Nursery who were "half-vampires" like her and Harper? WHAT ABOUT KADE?!

I absolutely LOVE this series…

I needed MORE for this ending!!! So many unanswered questions like who drove her out of the city when she was attacked by the grandmother? There HAS to be more to this story!!! This cannot be it!!! Overall the last book was amazing but it left me hanging!

So disappointed! Waited years to finish this series and am left thinking "what the heck just happened"?!? Was the whole thing just a crazy dream Sadie had??? Very unhappy with this book.

Not the best at all

Honestly, I found this book a bit harder to read because honestly it was kinda boring and didn't engage me like the first 2 books. The 1st 2 books had me excited to read but I found myself keep picking up and putting this back down. I basically had to convince myself to finish just to finish the series. Then to add to disappointment, the ending also seemed rushed and left a lot of the story plot points unanswered. I really wanted to love this but I just didn't.
