Wooohooo! Jenna Night is off to a fantastic start with her new Bounty Hunters series. Because nothing says suspense hero like a cowboy bounty hunter, right? And there's a whole posse of 'em with a female boss. Can't wait to get Cassie's full story but I'm getting ahead of myself. Must concentrate on Harry and Ramona though this is as good a place as any to send kudos to the author for the way she's set the stage for the bounty hunter business and future story leads. I'm definitely hooked and ready for more.
Ramona is a spunky go-getter and that leads her into the crosshairs of a crazed villain. All she wants to do is make sure her cousin's bail-skipping ex is caught and put behind bars so she does her own brand of sleuthing to make that happen. All she's got to do is confirm that the guy she's been trailing really is the illusive Darrin Linder and then she can call police and have him arrested. Easy Peasy. Not!!!!!
Cue a certain compelling bounty hunter to race to the rescue and then it's all about Ramona and Harry and his team following leads and dodging bullets on their quest to apprehend one very stubbornly illusive bad guy. Loved the pacing -- there's some nice breathing room between intense suspensey bits that provide ideal Harry-swooning time. :-) I do so love a well balanced romantic suspense -- especially when both elements threaten to give me a coronary!
A page-turning thrill of a read with promises of more biblio-goodness in our reading futures!

FUGITIVE CHASE by Jenna Night is the first book in the Rock Solid Bounty Hunters series. The story centers around the crossing of paths between Ramona Miller, who is caught up in the tangled web created by her cousin’s ex-boyfriend, and Bounty Hunter Harry Orlansky, who is trying to capture a bond jumper that happens to be the same man.
Ramona’s cousin, Jasmine, had finally broke it off with her abusive boyfriend, Darrin Linder. She is trying to straighten her life out by getting help with her drug and mental problems. Darrin won’t accept that she isn’t his and feels it’s all Ramona’s fault for the break up. He’s willing to do anything to get her back – including deadly threats to Ramona and her family.
Ramona and Harry meet up when they arrive separately at a set resort cabins looking for Darrin. Ramona just wants his location to report him to the police, but Darrin is there on his job to bring in this bond jumper. Things turn nasty when Ramona is spied by some of Darrin’s thugs and she’s running for her life. Harry saves her life and they make an almost immediate bond determined to bring Darrin to justice. Since Darrin’s into drug selling - while using himself - and gun running, things could get dangerous.
Ramona’s life is a mess. Recovering from a bad case of pneumonia, she’s had to move back in with her parents to recover giving up her job and shared apartment with Jasmine. Determined to break the cycle of men with emotional baggage, she’s set her goals of finding the perfect forever kind of love. She loves working at her folk’s restaurant and would love to take it over some day. Her parent’s goal is for her to have a better life than they had wanting more of a normal life for her.
Harry carries a lot of emotional scars. Having instantly lost his wife due to a brain aneurysm and out of loyalty to his love for her, he’s closed himself off from any chance of romance and a happily ever after. To him control is most important, but has realized that control only belongs to God and that all things are as it should be. When emotions start to surface for Ramona, he’s determined to nip it in the bud since there can be no future for them. He’s also just as determined that Darrin is not going to hurt Ramona or her family.
Is Jasmine on the up and up about having cut ties with Darrin? Or is she the one leaking information to Darrin that’s been putting Ramona’s life in jeopardy? After several death attempts on Ramona, can Harry continue to keep her safe? Will Harry and the police department be able to nab Darrin before anyone else is hurt? Will the lingering danger bring Ramona and Harry closer together or will they both stick to their guns that they aren’t right for one another? Can Harry make peace with the past and make room for a future? Can Ramona fess up to her parents about what she really wants to do with her life?
Jenna Night does a fabulous job of keeping one guessing about the outcome to the very end. She’s written a story that is edge of your seat entertainment with a thread of Christianity giving you pause on things in your own life like the importance of prayer and remembering that God has everything in his hands.
FUGITIVE CHASE is an exceptional first book in what I can see being a fabulous new series! It’s perfectly balanced between suspense and romance that leaves you wanting more in books to come. I’m hoping there will be a book about Cassie with the person behind her husband’s death being brought to justice. Highly recommend FUGITIVE CHASE to everyone that loves a great story that will have you turning pages and falling in love with the characters along the way. I give it 5 STARS!

A revenge-bent killer is hot on their heels!
Oh, boy! Jenna Night has done it again! This time it's bounty hunters and the gorgeous Idaho landscape! I sincerely enjoyed every suspense-filled bit of Fugitive Chase. And trust me, there is a lot of suspense!
Jenna Night really kept me guessing and second guessing with all of the twists and turns and red herrings. By the final showdown and reveal in Fugitive Chase I was almost as surprised as the lead characters.
One of my favorite aspects of the story is that Ramona is such a relatable heroine. Rather than being career driven, she loves working in her parents' diner and interacting with friends and customers each day. I think this was a great choice by the author as you can't help but love an everyday heroine. And Harry, well, he is the perfect match for her.
Enjoy Love Inspired Suspense with great flawed characters, an amazing setting, and plenty of chills and thrills? You should definitely check out this first book in the Rock Solid Bounty Hunters series!

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Fugitive Chase. This is the first book in the series Rock Solid Bounty Hunters. Jenna's books are always intriguing and I always appreciate getting them in the mail. This story is well written, action packed, and full of faith. This is a great read. I know you are going to love it.
Ramona Miller is on a mission. Her cousin's abusive boyfriend has skipped bail and has been threatening her family. Her cousin told her where she thought he is hiding. She would find him and call the police. She had to protect her family. She finds him but is caught in the act. She's dragged into the cabin. Darrin blames her for her cousin turning against him. He is making drugs and selling guns. Darrin is there with two cohorts. He slaps her and tell her she's going with them. She breaks through and runs into the forest. The men chase after her.
Bounty Hunter Harry Orlansky has just arrived to do surveillance on the cabin when a woman runs out the front door. He drives around the woods in the direction she is running. He parks the car, calls his boss, and rescue her just as the men have found her. The police show up and the men run off. Darrin yells threatens Ramona and her family then runs. Harry must use all of his military training to protect her and find his target.
A terrifying chase with men so high on drugs they are now monsters. God has a plan for these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Even in a time of pandemic and violence God has a good plan for you and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.

What a great start to a new series! I loved everything about this book. Fast paced and lots of twists and turns. The characters were believable and I enjoyed the Idaho setting.

Harry Orlansky is a widowed bounty hunter. He crosses paths with Ramona when they are both looking for Darrin Linder. Darrin has jumped bail and blames Ramona for causing the end of his relationship with her cousin Jasmine. He has left a good job and turned to a life of drugs and violence.
Learning to trust, letting go of the past and looking to the future and seeing the sad results of addiction as well as the triumphs over addiction are seen throughout the book.
I am anxious to read the rest of the books in this series.

Ramona Miller finds herself in a dangerous situation as she gets caught investigating a dangerous criminal’s illegal activities. Harry Orlansky becomes involved because he has been hired to find Darrin Linder to capture him.
This is a danger-filled story that has a clean romance and shows the faith of both characters. It would be a nice book to pick up and read over a weekend due to its length and the action-packed scenes. It is the first book in the Rock Solid Bounty Hunters series, so you can read more of the cases and about the characters if you enjoy this book.

I thought that this was an ok book. It was fast paced and I always love the religious aspect in these books. I would recommend this book to others.
