The Dudley sisters are together again, and are determined to assist Ena clear her husband's name after he is framed for the murder of a mole in MI5. This book is suspenseful, full of plenty of twists and turns, lies and secrets. Its a matter of who can you trust when so many surprises keep cropping up. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot recommend it highly enough.
This book is the cream of the crop so far. Very fast paced and unable to put it down. It moves so fast you do not have time to try to figure out who is really guilty. The guilty party at the end I did not figure on but I was glad I did not like that character. But who knew there were way more bad than good in this novel. Get started on this series today you will love it.
If you like mystery & intrigue, Morgan manages it exceptionally well without needless repetition this time. From Start to finish she keeps you keenly tuned in.
I have long thought that Ms Morgan’s books would make a brilliant series set in WWII and She Casts a Long Shadow is no exception. I have really enjoyed getting to know the Dudley sisters and to learn how they use their wits to get by in a time of war. The tightly woven plot will keep you turning the pages and by the end of it you’ll be sorry that its finished. I’ve just bought her latest - Old Cases New Colours and I’m looking forward to reading that in the fullness of time. I read in Ms Morgan’s bio that she has been an actress and a radio presenter, that must be where she hones her skills as a story teller. Excellent.
