Annika likes to keep these trips strictly business. But big, bearded Olof is an unexpected pleasure. She doesn't normally date men with kids, but this cinnamon roll is irresistible.
Olof's been on paternity leave for over a year, but with Annika behind him, he's finally ready to move forward.
Lara Kinsey loves love, but she lives for steam. She writes high-heat low-angst romance in both historical and contemporary settings, featuring happy couples of all genders. She loves writing strong heroines and gentle heroes carving out their happy endings with a found family. Look for Budding Romance, her lesbian Victorian short story, on Kindle Unlimited.
It was very short novella, so it all felt a rushed. The h is on business trip, sees a guy and he basically takes her home, the end. But there is more, he's bi, has a baby and is younger than the h, and she gets an offer she can't refuse. I liked it, but the all too convenient plot devices detracted from a good idea. Just OK.
Was intrigued by the title and the cover - hipster dude with baby strapped to his back standing by a bike... but it takes a very good author to make something so short work.
A full length or even a novella length version could be interesting, especially given the MMC is bi and mentions a 10-year relationship with a man in this short story.
This is a great short maybe 30 minute summer read. It's definitely very steamy/romantic. I think anyone who is looking for something quick it will be a great choice. It's a contemporary book. Olof, a father with a child, meets Annika, who is on a business trip. FYI, Olaf is an actual dad. It's not a daddy kink. They meet on a Fika, a Nordic coffee break.
It's a really great setting in Norway. The setting and the characters felt like this is something really different than your typical book.
