Before you start reading this book make sure to have a large number of snacks, especially cake nearby as it will definitely make you hungry.
It also though brought a massive smile to my face seeing how Katie gets to grips with running this cafe in Cornwall, and all of her wonderful initiatives.
As much as I enjoyed the authors first book, this was a clear step up and I am really impressed by all aspects of this story.
I loved the various characters in Cornwall, especially Jasper the florists enthusiasm for all things flowers, and Talia, oh Talia deserves her own book or series. The creativity of her various outfits and insanely brilliant hats as well as her love of astrology, plus her ability to just slightly misunderstand some words just gives us one woman who brightens up any page she is on.
Really enjoyed the setting in Cornwall and the whole community. As well as Katie's own development during the book.
A joy to read, definitely need to read more from this author in the future.
Thank you to HQ Digital and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
This was such a sweet read, I really loved it. It was very easy to read and I loved reading about all the different characters and the descriptions of Cornish views with it’s spectacular beaches. If you want a little bit of an escape from daily like for a few hour, this one is for you.
This is a really sweet and uplifting story of second chances, fresh starts and how important good, true friends are to a person just when they need it most. I am a sucker for a second chance story, it’s always so satisfying when all comes well for them in the end and this is no different. I really liked it, yes it was predictable from the off but, with so much uncertainty in the world we need light, enjoyable good fun and a romantic escape, don’t we? Katie suffers the worst betrayal, jilted by her no-good fiancé she decided to do what any down on her luck not quite bride to be done and tries to fix the fractured heart in sunnier climes. In Katie’s case, she goes to Bali where she meets an old friend; Agatha who is running her own restaurant out there. Personally, I think this part of the story is a little slow, but still a great opening. Seeing just how down and vulnerable Katie is Agatha offers her friend the second chance she needs, she offers Katie he opportunity to run her old café in Perinby, which is a beautiful little village in Cornwall. Katie knows this is the fresh start and soon agrees, to be honest, who wouldn’t snatch such a chance up? But, can Katie not only find her feet and allow herself to love and live again but also to make a success of the café? I was instantly pulled into Katie’s world, in fact, that happened from the cover and back blurb alone. I adore this cover, it is so pretty and striking and it works really well with the story, it fits in with Katie’s adventure perfectly, which is another thing I love, I think that matching the cover with the actual story engages us, readers, even more, it’s a visualisation of what is going to happen in the story – now whether that was purposely done by the art department with this book or it’s just my overactive imagination picking up on things that aren’t there, I don’t know, but blimey it perfect! I love the close-knit circle of friends that Katie soon collects; Jay, Talia and Oscar are so different, and to be honest, you would never think that such an eclectic group of people could be such good friends but they are and they bring a burst of energy and a little quirkiness to the story, which I really liked and I loved getting to know them as the story unfolds. I do like a strong and eclectic mix of supporting characters, I think that when they are written with such clarity and realism as Jay, Talia and Oscar are, they bring a whole new depth to the story. Like Rosie’s previous book ‘The Year of Chasing Love‘ this is the perfect feel-good, thoughtful, relaxing weekend read, one that you can settle down on a dull rainy day and just allow yourself to be pulled in and escape whatever is going on in your world for a few blissful hours. I love Rosie’s writing, she has a really easy to read writing style that makes the reader instantly drawn into her stories. I loved the descriptions of Cornwall, every scene is so beautifully written and so clear you can see Katie’s little café in your mind, it’s like you are falling into Katie’s Cornwall. Katie’s Cornish Kitchen is an adorable, feel-good, inspiring, hopeful and hugely enjoyable book all about grabbing your future and taking the chance for happiness. The characters are well developed and full of quirky charm. It’s well-paced with sadness and happiness and a few surprises are thrown in for good measure, I thoroughly enjoyed!
Thank you NetGalley, HQ Digital and Rosie Chambers for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review! If you’re in the mood for a feel good, HAE romance, look no further! This cute and uplifting story follows Katie as she travels from Bali to Perriby in the UK to reopen a friend’s bakery. She’s in the middle of a life crisis after her fiance runs off with their wedding money and screens her calls, only made worse by the fact that Katie recently lost her job. Katie was sweet and relatable. She worked hard while leaning on friends for help and advice when she needed it. After my last read, which had a very annoying and self-centered lead, the characters of Katie’s Cornish Kitchen were a breath of fresh air. Honestly my only complaint was the ending. The way they tossed in Oscar’s big reveal was random and honestly just not even necessary for the plot!
Cute story. Definitely enjoyed it and would give it 3.5 stars. Was it predictable ? Yes. Was it a feel good book that left me smiling? Yes. I love books that take place in a bakery, bookshop or cafe. Agatha was the perfect person for Katie to meet. Katie lucked out when her fiancé decided to stay in Ibiza and call off the wedding. He didn't sound like a great man to marry. He drained their wedding savings account and wouldn't contact her. If she would have married him, she would never have met Agatha or got the opportunity to run the cafe or meet such great friends. That cafe was the best thing for Katie. Perrinby sounded like a lovely and charming place to live, with the shops and the people. Not to mention the handsome Oscar who happened to have an art gallery right next to the cafe. Katie's mix up of the cakes was pretty funny, it wasn't the worst thing to happen and no one ate it before realizing what it was really made of.
Definitely recommend the book. It was a fun story with great characters. I definitely want to go to one of Jay's flower arranging classes. He seemed like a great friend to have, plus he always had his dog with him. Then there was Talia. i never knew what she would be wearing. She had a unique sense of style. This was the first book I read by the author and I look forward to reading more. I loved the cover of the book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from HQ Digital through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This book only took me a couple if days to read. The story follows the character of Katie rebuilding her life after heartbreak. The story has a strong community spirit theme running through it. Overall, this book was a pleasant summer read. Many thanks to the publishers & netgalley for allowing me to read this book.
This review has taken a while to write and has definitely led to a block on me writing reviews. The reason for this is that I made the mistake of reading other peoples reviews before I wrote mine and it then made me question my rating of it. I think its important to understand why someone has rated a book as they have, as this is not a bad book, however I feel that some might see the 3 stars and think it is not worth a read, which is not necessarily the case.
This is a sweet story about Katie who, after being dumped by her fiancé just weeks away from her wedding she decides to go travelling to figure out her next steps. Still reeling from the breakdown of her relationship and finding out that her ex has taken their savings so he can follow his dream, Katie meets Agatha who offers her the chance of a fresh start in the small village of Perrinby at a café she owns.
Katie knows it will take a lot of work to get the place up and running she is determined to turn it into a welcoming place for everyone in the community. She looks at various ways to make the café profitable with themed nights and offering workshops using the talents of the new friends she has found. This is a gentle summer read that has plenty going on to make you smile but be prepared for Katie second guessing her choices and struggling to let go of the past. There were times where I felt the story took detours away from the main plot which left me frustrated at times as I think the growing relationship between Katie and Oscar suffered as a result.
I liked that fact that she eventually finds a way to let the past go, whilst also giving the ex a few home truths and putting him in his place. I was routing for Katie to make it work and for the anticipated happy ending but didn’t love the book as much as I thought I would. Not that it is a bad book, I think if you are looking for a bit of easy escapism then this would be a great book for you. I think I was expecting something with a bit more.
Firstly thank you to HQ Digital & Net Galley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this advance publication copy of Katie's Cornish Kitchen.
I'm not going to lie when I first started to read, I thought this isn't for me but my opinion was soon changed, I can't quite put my finger on what changed it. I loved the character of Katie, rebuilding her life after heartbreak and I also loved the themed of community running through it, I would have liked to have had more description of the location as I couldn't quite picture the setting in the Village, I wanted to be able to imagine being there but I couldn't quite picture it.
What I did love was that I couldn't predict the ending which is always a bonus as so often you can see what is coming and if I'm being honest I loved the ending and it felt heart warming and sincere, the story didn't feel rushed and I feel we are given time to get to know the main characters, so often you can cram in to many characters that you lose any kind of connection to them.
Overall this is a lovely, easy summer read and I would recommend it to others
This was a lovely heart warming book. Katie has been spending time in Bali, nursing a heartbreak. Her friend Agatha, sensing her need for healing, sends her to take over a cafe in Cornwall. She needs to make a success of it and has to think of new ways to increase the footfall and make friends. You are willing her on and it is a lovely read.
This is definitely a feel good story that would make a good beach or backyard-lounge chair read this summer!
Katie Campbell is heartbroken. Her fiance Dominic went to Ibiza for his bachelor weekend, and decided not to return to their home in England so he could pursue his dreams of a music career. Unfortunately, he makes the decision and doesn't tell Katie. She doesn't realize his intentions until he doesn't return from Ibiza. When she tries to call him for an explanation, he refuses to pick up her calls. To make matters worse, he emptied their joint bank account of the money that was to be used for their wedding reception. As if she doesn't already have enough problems, she's fired from her job as an assistant to a celebrity cake decorator when she makes an error in delivering a birthday cake to a soap opera star.
After she finishes the embarrassing and distressing task of cancelling their wedding plans and notifying friends and family that there will be no wedding, she decides to take a trip to Bali, where she lives for a couple of months and makes friends with Agatha, a restaurant owner who also runs culinary classes for underprivileged youth. Agatha takes Katie under her wing and slowly helps her overcome her misery and sadness.
When it's time for Katie to return to England, Agatha gifts her with a surprise: the opportunity to take over her business: Agatha's Beachside Cafe in the small Cornish seaside town of Perrinby. The cafe has been vacant since Agatha left the town to develop her business in Bali. The idea intrigues Katie, who has always dreamed of owning her own restaurant or bakery where she could create delicious dishes highlighting locally-sourced ingredients and highlight her cake decorating artistry. She agrees to re-open the cafe for a trial period of three months.
She falls in love with Perrinby, and quickly finds herself becoming involved with the town and its quirky and fun-loving occupants, including Javier (Jay), the artistically extravagant gay owner of the floral shop; Talia, the astrology-loving high school student who loves to create and wear quirky hats; exuberant Ruby, who runs the hair salon, and Zoe, the wedding dress designer and 'bride whisperer.'
She also meets her next door neighborhood Oscar, who she describes as a "blond Aidan Turner." He owns and runs the town's art gallery, which is filled with his paintings and ceramic pieces.
To help the cafe re-establish itself in the community, Katie holds a variety of onsite events and activities, including "soup and song nights," a woman's pamper night, a book club event, a knitting club meeting, a floral design demonstration (led by Jay), and many other things. It gives her a chance to meet many of Perrinby's residents and they quickly embrace her as part of the community. She also discovers a growing attraction to Oscar, but he seems to be hiding a secret and she occasionally notices a deep sadness in his eyes.
Everything is going well and Katie is considering a permanent move to Perrinby. Then Dominic, the disappearing fiance, reappears in her life, and wants to get back together.
Katie has a decision to make. Will she remain in Perrinby, where she's developed strong friendships and a positive reputation within the community, or will she move to Ibiza to be with Dominic? And what about her growing feelings for her artist neighbor Oscar?
I really enjoyed this book. The author, Rosie Chambers, is gifted with the talent of using words that evoke descriptive images in the reader's mind. I love some of the phrases she uses throughout the book, like "the sleep fairies had eluded her," when describing a night when Katie was suffering from insomnia, and "added another golden coin of contentment to her depleted coffers," when describing how Katie did something that helped her build up her self confidence.
I especially loved the way that Chambers created a strong community feeling in this book. All the businesses in Perrinby worked together to help Katie make the cafe a success. The support among the villagers and business owners was wonderful.
The cakes, muffins and other goodies featured in the cafe made my mouth water. The author included a couple of recipes at the end of the book, which I will be making.
My only criticism of the book? I felt it ended a bit abruptly. I wondered what happened when Katie and Oscar shared their "discovery" with Agatha, and whether Katie was able to keep the cafe open after the three months were over. I guess I just like my stories completely wrapped up, so I know the final outcome with the main characters. But despite this, I still recommend this uplifting read!
Thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins Publishers for providing an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Be ready to be pulled in and captivated until the end. As the story progressed I just couldn’t put it down, I loved it. I would love to work here in this cafe among such wonderful people. All the characters are lovable (well nearly all!) and the author brings them all to life in a way not all authors can. As you read the story you can hear how the characters speak and can envisage how they look and their mannerisms.
There may be a few predictable moments, as you would expect from this genre of book however what I really liked was that it wasn’t a case of everything going swimmingly as soon as the main character, Katie, got settled in a new area, there were teething problems and speed bumps along the way for her, as there is in the real world. I loved the heartwarming community feel this book has, bringing everyone together as well as being kind hearted, eco friendly and charitable. Some books have a tendency to be a bit repetitive and really draw out some aspects of the story, not giving up its secrets until the end but this one was really on point. There was no ‘fluff’ filling out the plot, just a great story line. What’s more, I loved the ending, it wrapped the story up so well. I want to read more! I want to stay in this little village and hear more tales from the characters.
I feel that the author isn’t just telling a story, through her characters and the things they face and the way they deal with the challenges that life throws at them, she is speaking to her audience, telling them it’s okay if you have problems, there is a way back to positivity, a way to deal with the past. Thank you Rosie Chambers for a fantastic read, would recommend to all, I will be looking out for more by this author.
Thank you to Netgallery, the publishers and most importantly the author, for the chance to read this book, in exchange for an honest review.
#KatiesCornishKitchen #NetGalley. When Kate gets left by her fiancée weeks before the big day adds to emotional issues from her past. She travels to Bali to lick her wounds. While there she meets a fellow English women who has relocated after her husband dumps here in a horrific way. Agatha offers Katie the chance to start over as well. Giving her a café situated along the Cornish coastline that has three months of expenses prepaid. Katie is impressed with how Agatha has structured her new life and business. Not only giving back to the local community but paying attention to the environment and implementing measures that will lessen her foot prints on the local community. Katie agrees to take over running the café.
Katie arrives to a neglected building. She sets about building her brand while vowing not to let her heart open to further heartbreak. The last is complicated when she meets her neighbor a hunky artist who has emotional baggage of his own. several set backs as well a s a local businessman with his eyes set on acquiring the café for his financial gain has Katie questioning her decision to own her own business.
The path to her happily ever after takes many twist and turns. Helping hands form her quirky new neighbors add to the story. The supporting characters are as well defined as the main characters which add to the rich tapestry the author has woven in this story. It is a feel good novel that is perfect for an escape from the turmoil going on around us.
Thank you HQ & NetGalley for the early copy to read and review.
After Katie experiences ultimate betrayal from her finance, she heads to Bali using their honeymoon money and whilst there meets the lovely Agatha.
Agatha's desire for Katie to thrive and move on from the past sees her handing over the keys to her old cafe in Cornwall.
Can Katie manage this cafe and start making a profit before Agatha's money runs out? Is she even ready to undertake the task? Reopening this cafe and making it profitable won't be easy. But it might just be the challenge Katie needs to move on from her old life.
I was instantly drawn into this story because of the blurb, title and cover. I am absolutely living for books set in Cornwall at the minute, all I want to do is pack my bags and open a little shop along the coast.
This book is filled with glorious descriptions of baked goods, so prepare for your belly to rumble at every turning of the pages. I especially loved the ethics behind Katie's Cornish Kitchen; zero waste, donations to charity and local community events.
This book is a stunning, Summer's read full of romance, food and friendship. What's better than that?
Oh, and there's recipes at the end of the book - such a nice touch!
I really want to read more books by Rosie Chambers.
After being dumped unceremoniously four weeks before her wedding, Katie goes to Bali on her pre paid honeymoon - alone. There she meets Agatha who she befriends and, feeling a bit down in the dumps, agrees to take on her cafe for three months.
So off she sets on her adventure to Cornwall - a little different to Bali - to see if she can make her dreams come true, with a little romance thrown in along the way.
This is a quaint little story about Katie and her trying to make a new life in Cornwall after her fiancé decided to stay on his stag do in Ibiza and take all their wedding savings with him.
I just admit the constant references to Bali really irked me. It was unnecessary, especially as the story itself is set in Cornwall (a place I’m very familiar with). I enjoyed the references to various places in the county and I was trying to figure out where the author had based the village of Perrinby (I kept thinking it should’ve been Perran Bay!)
I felt a little underwhelmed by the whole book. The characters, the setting, all of it really and I felt it finished really abruptly. Such a shame as I really wanted to love it .
Katie’s Cornish Kitchen follows the story of Katie, who been left heartbroken and betrayed by her fiancé, who goes on his stag weekend and never returns and also cleans out their bank account. Katie uses some money she has put aside and sets of on a holiday to Bali, where she crosses paths with a lovely lady named Agatha. Who also is facing her own battles
Agatha can see that Katie is in desperate need of rebuilding her life an her self-esteem and hands over the keys of her cafe to Katie and tells her that she has a few months to make a go of things. Along the way Katie is faced with some challenges but gains herself some wonderful friendships, finds love and becomes a very important part of the community.
Katie’s Cornish Kitchen was a great easy feel good read, full of fun, friendship, romance and happy endings. Definitely recommend to any one looking for that perfect book to escape.
Thank you to Netgalley and HQ Digital for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Katie moves to Perrinby, Cornwall to run her friend's abandoned cafe after her own fiance goes on his stag weekend and doesn't come back, taking their joint wedding savings with him. She has three months to make the cafe work but, with crippling self-doubt and an over-eager property developer in the mix, things won't be easy. Will she find a place to call home or will this be another failure to add to her battered self-esteem? First of all I want to say I absolutely loved Perrinby with its community atmosphere and focus on paying things forward. There are some great characters in Jay and the wonderful Talia and Oscar is a worthy hero of the book. Katie was generally a great character- definitely likeable but the ease at which she switches to doom and gloom and feelings that she should just give up become a little wearing after a while. The plot is great, if a little predictable but the last chapter seems to leave a lot unresolved. Great summer read but not totally satisfying.
Katie’s life as she knows it has fallen apart, she’s lost her job in spectacular form. Her fiancé has abandoned her four weeks before the wedding stealing all her money, Penniless, desolate she exchanged her honeymoon and goes backpacking to Bali to lick her wounds. Where she meets Agatha who will change her life as she knows it by giving her the opportunity of three months to start her new life and start a new chapter.
A beautifully written heartwarming book that will you leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling.
The wealth of characters she meets in her journey are fabulous and the descriptions just enter into her life as if your there and touches on some delicate issues beautifully.
You will have hysterical laughter, she’d had an odd year but you'll generally feel that fuzzy feel you get from cuddling up with a hot chocolate on a cold day leaving with a good feeling about human nature all round.

Katie’s Cornish Kitchen is a new light hearted romance By Rosie Chambers and published by HQ July 6th! Thank you HQ and NetGalley for the early copy!
It follows the story of Katie who has been jilted by her fiancé and taking it badly. After a friend gives her keys to a cafe in Cornwall, Katie finds she has a choice to make - take over the cafe and start a new life in Cornwall or return to London and face having no fiancé and no apartment and no job. Seems like a obvious choice but Katie has her concerns about the cafe. This was a lovely story, albeit it starts a bit down in the dumps. It wasn’t a /great/ book, I wasn’t hooked by Katie or her story, but it was quick and light hearted and enjoyable - it’s a nice read.
Perfect for reading in the garden sunshine with an iced tea to get a bit of escapism during lockdown!
Katie's Cornish Kitchen is a fun read and you will meet some amazing friends along the way.
Katie got a message from her finance she never expected. So, this was why she was going to Bali to figure out her life. While there she meets Agatha and they became fast friends. Agatha's had an idea of how she could help her move on in her life and asks her to help bring her café in Cornwall back to life. Agatha covered all the bills for three months and after that if Katie did not feel it was working, she could give her back the keys. Katie puts herself into seeing the café makes a profit and, in the process, she makes friends with some wonderful people. Katie meets Oscar and she feels her life changing. Thank you NetGalley, HQ Digital and Rosie Chambers for the ARC. This is my personal review in exchange for the ARC.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the author for the opportunity to read a complimentary advance reader copy of this book and return for review based upon my honest opinion.
This was a great summer read, it was a nice feel-good story. When Katie‘s fiancé jilts her and leave her high and dry she goes to Bali on their honeymoon by herself. When it’s time to go back to reality, she realizes she doesn’t know what she wants to do. Her new friend, Agatha, offers her the opportunity to go to her hometown, a small Cornish town and try to make a go of her café, she has three months to make it successful. Katie takes her up on the offer and we follow her as she tries to navigate this new town, new friends, perhaps a love interest, and just finding herself. It was an enjoyable read and I would definitely look for more books from this author in the future.
I really enjoy reading new to me authors and I wasn’t disappointed with Katie’s Cornish Kitchen. This book is set in Cornwall. This tells the story of Katie, who is trying to find herself after being dumped by her fiancé and losing her job. Is it coincidence or fate that she meets Agatha in Bali? Agatha has the perfect solution for Katie. Go and manage her empty cafe. This is where the book really gets interesting with the wonderful residents and business owners welcoming Katie into their hearts. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I really hope you’ll grab a copy of this wonderful book and take a trip to Cornwall.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Katie's had some tough times lately but she's incredibly lucky that she's met Agatha! Agatha offers Katie the chance to manage the cafe she owns in Perrinby, Cornwall- and she offers her three months expenses upfront. Turns out that the cafe needs more than a little work AND even worse, that developers are circling. Katie, however, makes friends in the village- especially Jay and Talia- and turns things around through a combination of optimism and good works. AND then there's Oscar, the love interest. He's got his issues, sure, but he's a good guy. There are no surprises here (well, maybe some that will make you smile) but it's a nice read that's perfect for a day when you want some cheering up. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.
After being jilted by her fiance, who didn't come back from his stag do in Ibiza, Katie has been hiding out in Bali, where she has made a great friend in the cafe owner Agatha, but her money has run out.... the ex emptied the wedding savings account when he did his bunk..... and she needs to go back and so Agatha persuades her to go to Cornwall where she owns a cafe and manage it for her. Soon settling into the lovely Cornish village she starts making friends and there is the gorgeous artist Oscar next door.... but she is definitely off men!
A lovely story set in my favourite Cornwall, Katie is a great character as are other members of the village and it is great to see her building confidence as she gets the cafe up and running. A lovely light easy read.
A lovely feel good happy holiday read! Katie has been jilted by her fiancée fleeing to Bali she meets a wise kind friend Agatha who Instills goodness in all and gives Katie a life changing chance! Three months running agathas run down beach hut cafe in Cornwall! Katie’s accepts the invitation and sets about restoring the cafe to its former glory whilst trying out new ethical changes and more exciting recipes! Hard work long hours and a wonderful community spirit start to heal Katie’s heart and in doing so enable her to live and love again with the help of lovely Oscar, new friends and agathas interventions! Thank you net galley for this early read!
They say the path of true love never runs smoothly and it certainly seems the case for Katie. After mending her broken heart in Bali, Katie is given the opportunity to run a cafe in the beautiful village of Perrinby. She quickly makes friends with the local residents and other business owners and is determined to make a success of the cafe. Although as with most things in life, it isn’t plain sailing. This book will certainly warm your heart and make you hungry as it transports you to the Cornish coast. Well written and definitely a page turner. Thank you to NetGalley, HQ Digital and the author for the chance to review.
I loved this book. I didn’t really know what to expect but read this late into the night.
Katie has been abandoned by her fiancé after his stag night and escapes to Bali. Once she has depleted her savings, she needs to make a new start. She had been working with Agatha at a cafe and is given the opportunity of a new start in Cornwall.
This leads to some incredible adventures, new friends and a new job. I loved how this story came together from Talia who was set up as someone you’d love to hate but was warm and hilarious to the hunky next-door neighbour.
My only issue is that I now want a good cupcake.
This is a fun and warm holiday read with a bit of tragedy mixed in.
During a chance meeting in Bali, master cake decorator Katie begins working for Agatha at her training school for young women in need of employment opportunities.
When it’s time for Katie to return home to England Agatha offers her the gift of a lifetime, to caretake her cafe in a beautiful seaside town. Kate is reluctant as her self confidence has taken a battering, however upon meeting the local villagers she finds peace and a sense of belonging.
An uplifting journey of self discovery and believing in yourself.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to Netgalley for a pre publication copy. In return for an honest review ##katiescornishkitchen #netgalley
Katie's finacee does not return from his stag do in order to live it up in Ibiza which makes Katie head off on a solo trip to Bali. Where she meets Agatha who is running her own community kitchen project and in turn offers Katie to return to Cornwall and run her derelict cafe. Will Katie be able to make it thrive? Can she manage to leave her past behind?
The name of the book and the cover drew me into this cosy read.
This book is a quick easy romance read which is lighthearted throughout. It does what it says on the tin.
I have never read a Rosie Chambers book before, Thank you HQ & NetGalley for the early copy I am now I fan.
I have spent the morning curled up on the sofa dreaming of being in lovely Perrinby Cornwall.
This is such a light hearted warm fuzzy read that I have just devoured in one sitting.
By page 3 the story with the dog cake I knew I was going to love this story. It was predictable yes but also a joy to read, at one point I was hoping Katie didn't go to Ibiza and glad it went the way it did.
