Born at the stroke of midnight, Raven Steele grew up in a home bordering a graveyard as old as time. Ghosts became her only friends and whispered tales of a world that existed between night and day. In this place, monsters roamed the lands, magic curled in the wind, and good and evil fought over the hearts and minds of humans. Desperate to not let those dark and brave creatures be forgotten, Raven wrote down the words of the ghosts, knowing their stories of triumph and sorrow would give strength and comfort to those in our world.

And so, when the sun sets, Raven retreats to the cemetery at the edge of the woods, where she sits and listens to the dead speak their tales of Rouen and all of its inhabitants. Because one day, our two worlds may collide, and when they do, we must be ready. For when their darkness bleeds into ours, we will be fighting for more than our lives. We will be battling for our souls.

Raven Steele is a pen name to USA Today's bestselling author Rachel McClellan.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "WHAT DEVIL'S MAY COME" This a was great prequel to this fabulous series you don't want to miss it's full of adrenalin pumping action, danger, suspense, intrigue, intense drama, killing, heartache, twist that make for a very addicting read.
Moira Lareau moved to Wildemoor after the death of her ex-boyfriend she was going to College to become a teacher, a waitress, and at night a Vampire Hunter.
Charlie worked as an Agent for the Deific run by Henry one of the old good Vampires very mysterious, had magic among other talents he told him his physic powers would become stronger as he got older when he touched someone he had a connection to them for hours.
Charlie was in the restaurant that Moira was a waitress at she served him and when they touched he had a vision of her there connection was very strong so much so when she serve the Vampires he new that they meant her harm.
Moira left and Charlie watched as the vampires followed her into an alley when Charlie arrived one had her pinned to the wall Charlie took out one and then saw her sever the head of that other with a sword she had amazing skills he was so shocked.
Charlie asked her some questions she wouldn't answer he asked her to meet him at the Deific next morning to explain things to her she was very secretive and didn't trust easily she was thoroughly impressed with the Deific operation and wanted to become an Agent to help.
Charlie, Hunter & Alena went out to destroy a nest of Vampires Moira followed and used her sword to kill some of the vampires and save their a**es Alena thanked her for her help Hinter wanted to know who she was.
Charlie finally got Moira to give him information he needed for her to become an Agent of Deific and Henry really liked her and knew her secret she hadn't told Charlie about.
I defintely recommend to get this entire series so well written with awesome characters that pull you right into all the drama so well worth the read you can't put down until finished reading. AWESOME STORY!!!!!

Not bad!

He's a psychic vampire hunter she's a waitress with his fighting skills and a talent of her own.
When they begin to work together, at a paranormal agency, headed by an ancient vamp no less, their connection grows, but unfortunately the threat of numerous nasty vamps stalls any romance.
The actual characters aren't bad, the book is written in his pov entirely, and the storyline is quite gripping in places, however it ended rather suddenly not exactly a cliff hanger but ' a be continued ' for sure.
No bad language and a tiny bit of romance nearing the end. Found it free.

>Book review – What Devil’s May Come
>This book is a prequel novella in the Devil series and does not end in an HEA. In this universe, very few humans know about the paranormal predators that cause havoc. A few humans with psychic gifts and the few good vampires have created an agency devoted to eradicating the evil vampires. When an unknown vampire begins to create an evil vampire army, the agency steps in.
>Charlie is an agency member. He can read feelings if he touches a person. He is involved with quite a lot of vampire battles using his weapon of choice, the wooden stake. He rarely is accurate with the stake, so I wondered why he considered it the best weapon to use. Moira is a waitress hiding a secret. She is not a member of the agency at first, but her fighting prowess convinces the agency to take her on. Charlie and Moira form an attachment, with both fighting to protect the other.
>The story has a lot of action, but the romance falls a bit flat. Any romantic scenes are G-rated. The violence is vivid, however. This novella is appropriate for a young adult (18+) audience. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from Romance Authors that Rock. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I am giving this novella 4 stars. The ending was so sad.

I love this story. I love The Devil series by Mrs. McClellan. I loved seeing what happened to Charlie before book 1 of The Devil series. Giving Charlie was one of my favorite characters in the series I could feel everything he went through.

All of the action was just right, all the love. All the heartbreak. I won't spoil this for other readers but if you are wanting to start reading The Devil series then starting with this book is good. Or like I did reading it after The Devil series is okay too.

I loved it and it was diffidently a closer for me. I felt Charlie needed to let his story out and he did it well. I can see how some might say he seems different in this book then the others in the series. But heartbreak will change you. I can see how this would change him into the man we read in The Devil series.

Diffidently a story to pick up! You won't be disappointing!

Love Ms. McClellan’s writing; she has an amazing talent and breathes such life into each of her stories. This is a wonderful blending of kickass characters, interesting world and storyline with a titter of romance and enough paranormal to make your happy heart keep dancing.

Please note that an ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

I e never read the Devil series but the prequel wasn’t bad. It’s intriguing because you definitely want to know more by the end. My only comment is the ending feels rushed. But because it’s a prequel it’s not the worse thing. I just felt like there was all this build up just to have the ending feel rushed. But I’m definitely going to have to check out the rest of series.

Great Action Story!

Five stars for deep characters and their life of love but of heartache!
I really loved the action and the pain they suffer because you can love deeply and not have kept your true love until death do you part. Well written
