Carey

My Thoughts:
I went into this book with a bit of an apprehension because it started in a high note. I was sure that it would only go downhill from there! It is probably going downhill, but not with this book just yet. And it probably is going to end up with our group of heroes poor and destitute again because they are trying to dress that scenario up as a win. However it still remains to be seen in the future books.

I wondered what happened to Alice and Grace... I am so glad to see them prospering and Grace maturing! And, yeah, my heart goes out to Carey! Poor thing!!

Book 4 and I am fast becoming a die-hard fan of this series! Couldn't wait to read the next book in the series!!

I love these books and I love Daniel Potters writing style he is a fantastic author whether he’s writing about talking magical animals or dragons.

This is the fourth book in the freelance familiars series and it does not fail to deliver!

Another face paced action packed adventure where we meet old friends and new as well as encountering foes of old.

We again join Thomas and friends as they continue their bid to rival the TAU and make their own magical house a success against the odds all while defending their home in Vegas from other mages who want to claim it as there own.

With their new friends and Rudy’s arsenal will they succeed? Well, you will have to read it to find out!
No spoilers here!

I have enjoyed the Freelance Familiars series from the beginning; so much so, that I became an advance reader for Aggressive Behavior. I love the unique world building by this imaginative author and the story being told by the familiars' points of view rather than the mage's perspective. All of my favorite characters are back (I just LOVE that squirrel) and a few new ones enter the stage, sure to become favorites as well. Midnight is one Cool Cat and Tilly is such a Good Boy! One caveat: the angry weasel's language is a bit salty. Brimming with action, adventure and humor, I highly recommend this series to anyone seeking escape from their own mundane world.

Loose ends start coming together

Any time you write about a culture of magicals with "house" allegiances you're going to run into intrigue and heavy politics. So far he's keeping it interesting without making it ponderous.

The writing style is pretty easy to read and he didn't let the cast get confusingly numerous. I'm enjoying the flavor he's brought to contemporary fantasy and looking forward to more.

A great sequel

I always worry when grabbing a sequel to a book/series that I enjoyed. What if the author has run out gas or has jumped the shark, continuing a series that should have been put to bed ages ago. But Aggressive Behavior was delightful and I was happy to see that there is still room for all these characters we already love to continue on with their adventuring. Well done, Mr Potter, and I can't wait to grab the fifth one.

Still fantastic!

This was another fantastic story and part of this series! I have become enamored of what has been written and created! The twists and turns! The complexity yet simplicity! The characters that rendered, relatable, and real! The plot that's always engaging, gripping, and addictive! I love it all! On to the next one!

Friends add, but enemies multiply.

Thomas Khatt's quest to make the Freelance Familiars a functioning business and improve the universe continues. If only be wasn't blindsided by by so many business partners, enemies, and even friends; so very often.
