Project Virgin

Rate this book
Maybe the worst idea she’s ever had is actually the best thing she could ever do… Newbie lawyer Scottie Grey spent entirely too many years listening to her ex-fiancé’s lies. Now that she’s finally kicked that cheater out of her life, she wants to waste no time getting rid of the albatross around her her virginity. Damon Patrick is the worst possible candidate for the project. He’s too good-looking, too experienced. He’s too well known around San Francisco—mostly for his many sexual exploits. He’s also kinda, sorta Scottie’s boss. Damon is the worst man for the job imaginable… which might just make him the only one Scottie can imagine giving her virginity to after all.

4 As Goldilocks Would Say... Just Right Stars
* * * *
Have you ever started a book and soon felt you were in some type of alternate experience... one that mirrored Goldilocks' search for the perfect porridge ...

Where one book is just too much; too much repeating of things the author needs to make clear; like how handsome they are or how troubled he has been or any other redundant phrasing so that all you want to do is scream if you see it again....making the book too long or too full of filler to make it a series...

Or the other extreme opposite where there is just not enough of anything to make whatever was intended... a truly complete story. It could rush the details with insta-insta and think-Great we can do the sex scenes now... or they don't give any added detail or insight to either character or better yet, bring in another character to create drama and then leave the reader wondering what the hell was that all about because we were left hanging...

But then there can be those Ah Ha moments when a story just falls together. As we read we can see where everything is going and feel as if we are getting all of the nourishment delivered in concentrated amounts... not so intense as to give us a headache, yet chewy goodness for us to notice every nuance and detail slipped in effortlessly.

For me, Project Virgin by Megan Crane was crafted from the last example.
Her story was basically, just right. In the Eighty-eight pages, she led me down a path, happily. She gave me enough to understand why the woman felt about her virginity the way she did. Does the reader need to agree with the way the VCard was presented by the character... really it doesn't matter... because this was the character's feelings at the time and she owns it.

As for the commanding attorney boss, we were given the idea of just how dynamic he was in and out of court; it was totally believable he could be that imposing. With all of the necessary elements in play, the idea of him assisting her with her "problem" was perfection.

What made this more than the standard get rid of VCard stories was the subtle banter, mind tease they bought equally while playing with each other. She surprised him and he was everything she wanted and never thought she could have for this event. The mental foreplay for the reader with the characters' dance of leading up to what was proposed, opened the eyes of both characters and lured the readers to lean in more...

This was not a slam-bam- thanks-and-then-off-with-you event...the read didn't feel that way and neither did the surprised characters. Things were emotionally touching in this writing and the way it was done felt right.

Megan Crane is a very accomplished author... she teaches in the esteemed Writer's Program at UCLA and other venues. I feel as if I was fortunate to experience a class in how to do a short story and make it be "Just Right".

What a hot, fun and enjoyable quick read!

A short novella filled with some good chemistry and two main characters that were likeable. Great build up with the sexual tension between these two!

Scottie just ended her relationship with longtime fiancé after learning what a cheater he was. He told Scottoe that they would save sex/love making for their wedding night to make things special and because he respects her. Scottie was a virgin and didn't like the idea but went along with it. But no more, her mission was o get rid of her virginty.

Scottie is a new lawyer and she's working for hot, good looking, intense lawyer Damon. Wow, Damon was it for me in this book. Great hero!!!

The book opens with Damon and Scottie in an elevator, with him asking what happened to her "rock".

What I appreciated was you are given the impression that Damon was aware of Scottie with that comment (she hadn't been working for him long ) and somewhat observant of her before they worked together. Also Scottie had noticed Damon, what living breathing women wouldn't. But she was careful to not allow herself to focus on him because she had been engaged.

Damon finds out that she's a virgin (accidentally read a text she was sending a friend while the two had been riding in a limo to court). Damon then proceeds to offer his assistance and expertise in helping aide her in eliminating her virginity. He was sweet and attentive towards Scottie. He let it be known that he wanted to make the moment special and memorable. Loved him!

I was hooked by theses two right away. Yes, it's pretty much Insta/love/lust but I thought is was done very well with emotion and depth of character from both. They had witty dialogue and a great connection. It was a sweet, steamy and fun read. It was too short for me though, I really could have read another hundred pages about these two and would have loved an epilogue!!!

Cute novella establishing the beginnings of a new relationship between Scottie and Damian. Scottie is going through a crisis after ending a relationship that, much to her dismay, left her still holding her V Card. Damian is successful but seeks more out of life. Their banter is funny and cute. Their coupling was both sweet and dirty lol I enjoyed it.

This was my first Megan Crane book and it looks like it will be my last one as well. A lot of things didn't work for me in this novella.

The heroine's ex-fiancé cheated on her many times even though they had decided to stay virgins until married. After she finds out he slept with every woman but her, she therefore comes to the decision to just get it over with and sleep with someone.

The hero who is kind of her boss in a law firm notices the absence of her engagment ring one day and starts asking her about it and decides he is the one and only she should lose her virginity to.

My problem was that he had never noticed her before, he didn't even know her name. And suddenly he falls in insta-lust, and later, insta-love with her. Also, let's not forget he is her superior. Ick. He also kind of glorifys her virginity which is a total turn-off for me.

The heroine was a conundrum to me. One one side she is supposed to be all sweet and innocent and 'in need of education' but on the other side she sounded experienced. Of course, she always had the hots for him and knows a lot about his sexual exploits because of office gossip. He is the man-whore per se. bla bla bla

This whole novella takes place in only one or two days and they go from adoration (on her side)to 'I-love-yous' and 'You're-mine' (from the hero's side) in a span of a second which felt extremely unbelievable to me. The whole thing is very stereotypical and offers no new twist. Thankfully, this was such a short read that I muddled my way through, otherwise I would have dnf'ed it.

So much was packed into such a short story! There was a little humor, a lot of sexual tension and just enough feels to keep me happy from beginning to end.

Being a 26 year old virgin who just called off her engagement to her cheating fiance, Scottie now wants to lose her virginity. Damon is the playboy and more experienced attorney who everyone gossips about his amazing court room and bedroom antics (that sounded so cheesy and book blurb-y, but it's true).

I liked that Scottie was quick witted and how it challenged (and surprised) Damon. All of this attraction to Damon and flirting with him is new to her, but I really loved how surprised Damon was affected by it all. It really caught him off-guard how he was feeling a lot more for her than he expected. Instalove. If the book was longer than a novella and also told from Damon's pov (this is only Scottie's voice), I would have loved to know if he'd noticed Scottie before that day since he asked why she wasn't wearing her engagement ring.

It was the perfect light, yet engaging read I needed for a few hours of escape!

This was a really nice novella. The story is taking place during a weekend and it moves quite fast. The plot is kind of obvious but it's so nicely written that it didn't matter. The story is said by Scottie POV and I loved it.

Scottie is a pleasant heroine. She is funny and direct. She doesn't have the self confidence that she should but it's not a problem. I really liked her!

Damon is really the absolute fantasy of Scottie. To be honest, he didn't impress me but I only saw him through Scottie's eyes and I understand her obsession with him.

Their interaction was fantastic! I loved the way that they spoke to each other and everything they did.

The end was also nice and sweet! I actually recommend this story to everyone who loves to read a fun erotica novella.

I liked the story's premise, the funny yet awkward opening scene, and the protagonists who were flawed but likable.

In comparison, I just didn't care for the supersonic timeline which made the HEA incredibly unbelievable. Scottie and Damon started out as colleagues who had never previously talked to each other, but ended as a happy couple after spending just one day and night together. Insta-love is fine but the underlying problem is that Damon had never even noticed Scottie before, so it doesn't render his sudden romantic interest in her credible.

And because of the dry writing the intimate scenes felt clinical rather than passionate and romantic, which is another reason why I had a difficult time believing they were attracted to each other or had fallen in love.

Ooh so sweet story, for a short one i had really good time reading it!!
Damon & Scottie...i really loved these characters..

Scottie breaks up with her fiancee when she learns his "Outdoor Activities", the problem is she was saving herself for the night of the wedding..well her fiancee wanted the same out of respect (yeah respect my ...). So we have a virgin/single Scottie now we want a candidate to get rid of it....
....And the best candidate (says the worst but i would say best) for this is Damon Patrick, her um..boss!! The man with many sexual experiences so he will take care our Scottie.

I definitely recommend this novella, it's fun, hot with great characters and dialogues. You certainly gonna enjoy it, it's my first book from the author and i really wanna check what other stories she has.

Damon Patrick is a seventh year associate at the historic law firm Granger and Knox, a renowned litigator and San Francisco’s favorite sex symbol. 26 year old Scottie Grey is a first year associate who is barely out of law school, who just booted her fiancé out the door for being the lying and cheating man he had turned out to be.

When Damon notices the missing engagement ring on Scottie’s finger which is followed by the lengthiest conversation they have had to-date regarding non-work related stuff, Scottie to her horror realizes that she had started to have very strong reactions towards Damon which does not bode well at all. The topic of her status of virginity somehow comes up, which is how Damon eventually “volunteers” to help her get rid of the pesky matter, once and for all.

Told in first person from Scottie’s point of view, Megan Crane I believe has done justice to the story with a novella of this length. Damon definitely lives up to the description that I started off this review with – he is definitely a sex symbol if ever there was one.

This book made me reassess every not-so-positive thought I might have had about kissing scenes when it comes to a lot of books. The act itself can barely get a passing glance from some authors, while others quite ineffectively launches into a description of tongue tangling and tongues doing other stuff which sometimes does not come off as such an erotic act. However Megan Crane has made me a believer of just how erotic the act of kissing itself can be in books with how Damon chooses to kiss Scottie, possibly out of her senses and beyond. I am a definite believer in Damon and his prowess in kissing and otherwise. Wowza!

Because the book is told in Scottie’s point of view alone, it is at times difficult to assess what Damon might or might not be feeling. For a man who has no problem in getting any woman he wants (I believe I would not turn him down if he were to turn up on my doorstep – and I digress), there is little novelty perhaps left when it comes to the harem of women that parades in and out of his life.

I guess what affected Damon most was the fact that Scottie had waited all along, believing in giving herself to the one that she wanted to share the rest of her life with – even though that man had turned out to be the douche-bag of the century. At first it feels as if Damon remains unaffected by the scorching and burn-through-the-ereader chemistry that he and Scottie had going between them. But little by little the chips fall away & reveal that he is as stunned and affected by what is happening between them.

The way that Megan makes the reader see how moved Damon is by the experience and beyond, when everything else suggests otherwise, that was the part of the story that I couldn’t get enough of! Loved, loved, loved the emotions that this little delicious number invoked.

Definitely recommended!

Want a hot, humorous novella? Look no further, just get this book!

Scottie Grey is in her first year working at a prestigious law firm. She’s just broken up with her cheating fiancé who wanted her to be a virgin on their wedding night but was certainly getting in lots of practice for the occasion with just about anyone he could! Now she’s determined to wait no longer and her sort of boss, Damon Patrick, reads some texts that reveal her desire to lose her virginity asap . . . . and offers his assistance. Now he also happens to be handsome, hot and have a reputation for his sexual exploits. Is he the best or worst candidate to help her?

I was wary of reading this, as I don’t like pure erotica and I’m happy to say this is much more. It was a fun read with some hilarious moments and, although losing her virginity was the whole point of them getting together, the author skilfully gave it all greater meaning with her emotive descriptions (much better to read than step by step instructions!) and the brilliant ending - you’ll have to read it to find out just what I mean!

So, if you like your romances to have funny, laugh out loud, gasp in disbelief moments as well as plenty of action, you may well enjoy this delectable novella.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.

This was a short read, definitely had potential if there were more builds-up between H and h, or an epilogue.

h worked under H but never have direct conversation with him. When she broke up with her cheating ex-fiancé, H suddenly was interested in the disappearance of her ring. Then one thing turned into another.

It was hard to rate this book because this was just an ARC, the file felt like in need of edit, maybe the completed edition would be better. Too much potential.

If you have an hour going spare, this is a decent steamy read.

"My virginity had been my secret shame for years."

Megan Crane has done a good job in making this novella grab from the off. Scottie and Damon were likeable characters but I have to say she didn't really come over as particularly inexperienced. Nevertheless, it's fast-pace and sexiness made it an enjoyable read.

Scottie has an albatross around her neck, of the virginity variety. At twenty six she's just left a relationship with a man who's fooled her into being innocent for years while he still romps around the town. Just one day into being single and she is a woman on a mission. Damon Patrick, hot lawyer and boss, isn't exactly who she had in mind, but he is the ideal candidate. Making one bad decision may be the best decision Scottie has ever made.

I love a good romance filled with humor, especially when it's filled with just the right amount of both. Project Virgin is one of the funniest novellas I have read in a while, the main characters share witty dialogue and the general subject at hand, Scottie's virginity, just makes this story stand out. What I expected to be a short erotic novella was so much more. Megan Crane wrote two great characters, Scottie and Damon, who you wouldn't put together at first, but make so much sense by the end.

I really liked Scottie as a character, you don't have to agree with her method of losing her virginity to enjoy this one. She is exactly as I would picture a sheltered, innocent 26 year old who just came out of a long lasting, emotionally scarring engagement. What a way to shake it off! Damon, on the other hand, I could use a full length novel about. He's intriguing, he's successful, and he's apparently a sex god. Combine that with his straight forward, no nonsense attitude and you've got the perfect boss to take care of the job at hand. I genuinely enjoyed their interactions and I definitely liked that this novella felt longer than it was. It wasn't just a take her virginity and move on kind of book, but it built up to the fireworks and ends with a massive bang. There's emotion, some hot hot smut, insta-love, and witty dialogue. When all are combined together you get the engaging story of Scottie and her project for handsome lawyer, Damon.

The heroine is 26 years old. Yes, she's a virgin but that shouldn't translate in to a tongue tied ingenue. I don't understand why heroines lose all presence of mind when they see a good looking man. Sure, be attracted to them, but to not be able to conduct a basic conversation as we saw in the opening elevator scene is foolish. She's a lawyer. Isn't one of the basic skills to have some presence of mind and be able to function even if you are in the presence of supreme hotness??

She was right to call the hero rude. She owed him no apology. When she stuttered and stammered her way around one, I was ready to put the book down. He insulted your intelligence lady (not to mention your name), and was asking inappropriate questions. Never mind reading your texts in the limo. She is appalled but not for the reasons one would think. She tells him she'd understand if he didn't want to work with her because of the inappropriate text. How about his behavior? Why is he digitally eavesdropping? She's not talking on the phone, she's texting. Does he hover around ATMs trolling for PINs?

Ridiculous.

The rest of the story continued in this nonsensical vein.

I didn't know what I was getting into with this story. I purchased it on a whim, without realizing it was a novella instead of a full length novel.

I still didn't realize this until I actually finished the story and yelled out, "NOOOO, WTF!"
Hahah!

I'm giving Project Virgin 5* because despite the fact that I wish it were longer, I only wish it were longer because Megan's writing style is superb, her ability to tell a story-magical. I was addicted to every word, and dreamy about the characters.

If she ever were to continue their story and make it a full length novel, I would read it in a heartbeat.

So, if you're looking for a quick, hot, and well done read... Choose this one.

This book just didn't work for me. It is a stretch to say that a 26 year old virgin would be attractive enough for the "stud" of the law firm. She was not described as a virgin looking like a sex goddess. He has had many, many women and I don't think she would get his attention. Not to mention that he would change his ways for her. Maybe if it had been a full length novel the characters could have been developed enough for the story line to be believable. Usually I love what Megan Crane writes, but this one missed the mark for me.

A very entertaining quick, sexy read. Considering how short the story is, it's amazing how developed the characters are. The story is fairly predictable but never did I get that "I've read this a million times" feeling. I enjoyed how the relationship between Damon and Scottie evolved from one stage to another. Their chemistry is sizzling and you can definitely feel it. I highly recommend this one.

I relate to the way Scottie panics and overthinks almost too much, but good on her for sticking to her guns and putting Damon in his place. It certainly worked in her favour ;)

Damon was surprisingly wonderful when he does the deed. Perceptive and yet very much the alpha, taking over when he needs to. I'd go for Damon Patrick if he were real.

Wish it didn't end so abruptly, but that's almost par for the course with novellas. Still a very enjoyable read!

If you’re looking for a short, sexy, funny and even charming story to read over a lunch break or a stolen afternoon on the couch – then have I got a story for you in Project Virgin. Yes, there is a kind of instant lust, (and really is it insta-lust when both characters are aware of each other – Scottie by way of the office grapevine knows of Damon’s sexy ways and if he hadn’t noticed her before, why did he comment on her missing engagement ring, hmm?) but I was okay with it, sometimes the emotions are going to rule the logical side of any female (or male for that matter). We hear this story through Scottie’s voice and while I would have enjoyed hearing Damon’s side of the relationship, it certainly didn’t take away from the sexy, fun factors of this novella.

Scottie is a new lawyer, a bride in waiting when she discovers that the man she was supposed to marry, the jerk who insisted that they wait until their wedding night before getting physical so it would be “special” yet couldn’t keep from practicing with every female he came across. He’s now history but Scottie is still that waiting virgin, one who cannot get rid of that particular “problem” fast enough.

A lesson in sending text messages – be aware of who is around you and could read your screen if you don’t want your business out there.

Damon is more than willing to help Scottie with her situation. But he has plans, it won’t be the fast get it done with that Scottie might think she wanted. No, if he’s to take her virginity then it’s going to be done right, sexy and a memorable experience, for them both.

Sit back and enjoy the sexy banter, some very interesting texts and watch two people take a chance on that insta-lust thing – who knows, it might turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to either of them for a lifetime.

I enjoyed Project Virgin and I think you would too. Put aside any of that “I can’t stand insta-anything” mindset and go with the flow on this one. Who says that that spark, that sense of knowing this is right can’t happen? *wink*

Project Virgin by Megan Crane
Maybe the worst idea she’s ever had is actually the best thing she could ever do…

Newbie lawyer Scottie Grey spent entirely too many years listening to her ex-fiancé’s lies. Now that she’s finally kicked that cheater out of her life, she wants to waste no time getting rid of the albatross around her neck: her virginity.

Project Virgin by Megan Crane is a hot novella that can be devoured in a very short period of time. If you are in the mood for a sexy read with an ending that will leave you with a huge smile, then pick up a copy of this book.

New lawyer Scottie Grey is looking forward to climbing her way to the top of the partnership ladder. Just today, she broke up with her boyfriend of six years, who had her convinced that saving themselves for marriage would make their primarily platonic relationship much more meaningful. Scottie's cheating ex is now a part of her past, and the future is hers for the taking. She is on a mission to lose her virginity and the lucky guy ends up being her sort of boss.

Damon Patrick is a ruthless attorney adorned with good-looks, sex appeal and smarts. His womanizing reputation is legendary, which makes him the perfect man for Scottie to lose her virginity to. Damon overhears and understands her situation and has no problem being Scottie's first. However, there is something about Scottie that Damon finds incredibly attractive and endearing, which causes him to ensure that her first time is one for the record books.

Overall, I liked quick story. I immediately formed a connection to both Scottie and Damon. I loved how Ms. Crane evolved their one night together into something so much more. This is a fast read loaded with heat and the potential for a happily ever after.

1sexy litigator + 1 green first year = 1 red hot read!Damon Patrick is a renowned litigator of a prestigious law firm and he is also San Francisco's favorite sex symbol. Scottie Grey, a " green little first year" is delighted to be sssigned to him as " celebrated lawyers on a meteoric rise toward an inevitable partnership like Damon didn't usually speak to first-years . . . unless it was to issue orders."

Scottie has broken her engagement an hour and a half ago, when she finally realized what the whole of Northern California knew - that her fiance was having sex, LOTS of sex! There was just one little problem, it wasn't with her, a twenty six year old virgin and in her own words an idiot too.

Damon is known as the resident god when it comes to his sexual prowess (no pun intended!). So the fun begins when he sees the text messages between Scottie and her friend, in which Scottie relays that she finally threw her fiance out and to which her friend replies by giving her some naughty advice.

Damon is so hot and he gives Scottie two rules that she must follow: 1) "Do what I tell you." 2) "When in doubt, do it anyway."

This was a touching, poignant, funny and witty read, that left me wanting to read more by this talented author.

A quick read that pulls you in right from the start. Megan Crane grabs you in the first paragraph and doesn't let go.
Scottie Grey is having a rough morning when she is paired with Damon Patrick on a case. Scottie is a first year attorney learning all she can, while Damon is the firm's golden boy and playboy. Scottie has just tossed her cheating fiance out and is ready to move on with her life, which includes losing her virginity. Not sure how she was going to accomplish it, she is more than a little embarrassed when Damon sees the text from her friend telling her to go after him. With all the gossip about him, that is the last thing she expects him to want.
When Damon offers dinner after work, Scottie accepts, figuring to at least get ideas from him and at most, a one night stand. Both get a little more than they bargained for.
I loved the characters, they connected and there were times that I had to laugh at their interactions. Scottie was fun, strong and determined, and Damon was a good match for her.

Thanks to Netgalley and Tule Publishing for ARC

I finished it very short time.
Story could have had more to it. Just seem too short for my taste.
Damon Patrick, everybody's dreamboat, renowned litigator at Granger & Knox. Scottie was accompanying Damon on a job. While they were heading out, he reads Scottie's text from her best friend. He finds out she just broke up with her fiancee and she still is a virgin. Her ex fiancee was sleeping around while she faithfully waiting. She was fuming and couldn't believe her luck. Then Patrick proposes that he is willing to educate her on that end. She couldn't believe Patrick was willing. She was thinking this like a project and she is willing to forget after if it happens... But that never seems to work that way. He is still her superior and she is afraid people will find out..
After everything she feels renewed and forgets about her ex.
However, things were different.. Patrick didn't show up to work.. What has happen to him????
I wish there were more story to both Patrick and Scottie..

Scottie has been engaged to Alexander for six years but her virtue is still intact! According to Alexander, it's for traditional reasons but Scottie eventually uncovers the real reasons why, and kicks him out.

Scottie is a lawyer working for Damon who is well renowned for his success as a lawyer and his ways with women. He is every woman's dream in the company he works for and even Scottie isn't totally indifferent but he is out of bound. Or is he? They end up spending the night together and what he discloses to Scottie about the reasons for his womanising comes as quite a surprise. She is faced with even more surprises on her return to work. Will she see Damon again? Can this one night stand turn into something more, taking Damon's past into account?

This is a story about two entirely different people coming together in the most unexpected manner. It's short and sweet with some steamy moments. Well put together for such a short read.

I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the publisher via NetGalley. This has no bearing on my review of this book.

Witty dialogue and a snappy pace make Project Virgin a real page turner. I sat here reading the book and imagining author Megan Crane laughing her head off as she wrote it. While there is no doubt that this is one of the wittiest books I've read in a while it is also sex on a stick, slick and carnal and exquisitely sensual.
Project Virgin is a very quick read so there's not a lot of time either for character development or to flesh out the plot yet you really don't get the feeling that this book has been rushed. The story unashamedly takes place over just a few days yet Megan Crane uses clever techniques such as a series of text messages to progress what is essentially a meeting of virtual strangers into a dinner date and a night of explosive sex.
The nice twist is that for Damon and Scottie, against the odds it seems that there just might be something more than sex. "I'm not a plumber," says Damon.

Project Virgin may not be a lengthy tome - ust an hour or so to read - however it doesn't not lack in any department.

I really enjoyed reading this. The chemistry between Scottie and Damon is off-the-charts, and I love that it didn't just fizzle out and bathe in the vanilla river once sexytimes were initiated. Their awareness of each other, it is very soon evident, extends well beyond the purely physical.

As a couple, they are electric, and as individuals, Scottie and Damon are people I actually gave a damn about. I loved that Scottie wasn't a clueless innocent just because of her virginity, and while Damon erred towards the manhoorish, he owned it.

Plentiful hot bits in this one, so if the sexytimes aren't your thing, best you ease away. However, Project Virgin isn't just sexytimes. There is emotion, humour and fantastic characters to boot.

P.S. Thanks to Tule Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC of the book. Any and all opinions are mine and mine alone.

"Project Virgin" by Megan Crane is Scottie Grey and Damon Patrick's story. Scottie is a first year associate and Damon is a seventh year associate at the same law firm.

Scottie has just broken off her engagement to her cheating fiance. She has been assigned to assist Damon with a case. Scottie and everyone in the office think Damon is hot, but now she is feeling an attraction to him. Scottie knows that nothing should happen between them since he is more like her boss. Also, she is a 26 year old virgin and that scares men away. Or can it happen?

The author gets your attention from the start and keeps it. Even though the story only takes place over just a few days it is written in a way that doesn't make it feel rushed. The intimate scenes are sizzling and steamy. There are some really funny scenes that will have you laughing out loud.

I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review. FYI, contains mature content.

Project Virgin (A Bad Boy Short Story) by Megan Crane is an interesting story. For the life of me though I couldn’t figure out why a person’s virginity is considered to be a mill stone around their neck pulling them down. That is the entire premise of this short story.

It could have been simply about two people falling for each other, then I would have loved it. Scottie’s former fiancé is definitely the bad guy and loser in this story while Damon is dreamy. I liked the contrast between the values of these two men. So the characters were engaging with wonderful chemistry, witty lines of dialogue and entertaining series of events. The awareness and attraction build up between Scottie and Damon is well done with good characterization for such a short work.
