Eh. It was ok. Sexpot 20 yr old h, nice guy older biker dude H. Very insta. While I liked the protective bulldozer H, sometimes it came off a little like love-bombing… which I didn’t love.

Wow! Nikita Slater has it going on when she writes a story! This is a short novel but so worth the read. The sexual tension between Amy and Jared makes a girl swoon. Every time Nikita writes a new book, I upgrade to my new book boyfriend. Jared is a take charge alpha and Amy is sassy. They work so well together with life being thrown at them. I don’t want to give anything away so you are gonna have to read it to find out the chemistry between the two. I will say this hot, hot, hot. If you haven’t read Nikita Slater books before, I have no idea what you are waiting for!!

This is an overall sweet novella, and gives us everything we expect, hope and appreciate from this author. There’s hawt s-x scenes, romance, danger, action, mystery, motorcycles, mafia, an alpha H, a strong and very sufficient h, and a well written and plotted story.

I read Nikita Slater because I find her characters to be absolutely amazing. Their development, intensity, chemistry (not just romantic) and dialog leave me *sighing* every time. I’m drawn to how loyal they are to their own morality; that in most cases don’t follow the social norm. Throw these amazing characters into a very well written and developed storyline, and I’m there every time.

I definitely recommend this book and this author. I hope there will be more books in the world!

This standalone story is different from Nikita Slater's dark romances, being a nice continuation of Loving Vincent. Amy and Jared were a sweet couple from the start. It seemed to be attraction at first sight for both of them after they reconnected as adults.

Amy dealt with many difficulties in her life and Jared came at just the right time to help her out. She cured him of his loneliness while he became someone to lean on during tough times. Their characters were well-developed and the growth of their affection for each other seemed quite realistic even in such a short span of time.

All in all, the story was amazing and I would definitely recommend it as Nikita Slater never disappoints with her writing. I cannot wait to read what she writes next.

ahh... the girl next door / single 'mom' theme. definitely wish this scenario could be real since its so easy to picture that hunk next door. its a sweet story with unexpected touches of ... not so fluffy sweet stuff haha (sorry, i cant think of the right word right now). there was her unexpected side job and the details of her family. then there was her father. unexpected curve balls that gave a nice touch to the book. not sure id call this a mafia romance so if you have a 'softer' stomache, this would be a good read for you.

definitely looking forward to Enrico's story assuming that the author will give him one. from 'love vincent' to jared's story, Enrico's would seem to be the one to finally solve the 'Ghost situation' and may have that touch of dark/action i enjoy so much hehe

This is a sweet, spicy, slightly suspenseful stand alone in the same series as Loving Vincent. It's a little book but has a fully developed romance with humor and spice and a satisfying amount of violence, but it is not a dark romance: Jared is 100% sweet on Amy, the young woman next door who is struggling to support herself and her siblings after a horrifying crime tore their family apart. That sounds really grim but it isn't, because Amy is resilient and saucy and has a slightly scandalous second job.

I thoroughly enjoyed Loving Jared and wholeheartedly recommend it for a quick escape.

Another great read from Nikita Slater that lived up to every expectation I have and then some. I really enjoyed Loving Vincent novella and I was looking forward to Loving Jared and I loved it! There is a softer side to these bad boys that just hits the spot. The suspenseful plot, the well developed characters, and the steamy smutty deliciousness makes this yet another win!

So sweet!

This amazing author writes that best characters into her stories and this one is no exception. This story is a fantastic, short and very sweet fast paced romance between two really great characters.

Amy and Jared have instant chemistry that makes you swoon. Jared is the perfect match for Amy in every way. He's strong, fierce, demanding but has such a sweet heart! Amy is sassy, independent and strong. The way these two come together is funny, sweet and very sexy. There is so much sexual tension that it oozes off the pages.

This story is very hot, captivating and highly entertaining to read. Definitely worth reading.

One cup of sugar started off this sweet romantic read. Jared is really a big teddy bear under that gruff exterior but he does mean business when anyone he loves is threatened. Amy is hard working and a little unconventional which helps her keep her family together. But everyone knows you can't always have sweet without a little bitter which brings us to Amy's dad who wouldn't win any father of the year awards. There is a nice mix of sweet, drama, and sexiness that make this novella a satisfying combination.

I loved this damsel in distress story. Amy’s got a crap ton of stuff going on in her life thanks to her psychotic father. She could really use a hero to help her with all her troubles. Luckily he lives next door and she needs to borrow a cup of sugar so...Jared is truly a good guy even though he dabbles in some shadier stuff and when he meets a now grown up Amy all he wants is to make her life easier and happier..sigh. I really enjoyed this sexy sweet story and now I’m dying for Enrico’s story.

I loved this book so much!! Everyone needs a neighbor like Jared!! He's an Alpha man, gorgeous, and is the most caring and giving man that I've read about in a long time. Amy has a hard life. Taking care of her siblings is hard enough but she has to worry about taking care of the bills. She works two jobs and has to deal with a 17 year old brother who is making life hard. One cup of sugar was all she needed and she got so much more. I love their story and I do love Jared. I totally recommend this book ten times over!! Great read for sure!!!

A bit much

This book was a bit much. I skipped several pages bc it was just too much. I'm glad this was not my first book by this author or it would have been my last. The relationship between a 34 yr old and a 20 yr old was too much. It didn't sit well with me. I know this was fictional story but it was all just too much. Maybe someone else will read this book and not find anything wrong with it but a serious relationship between a 34 year old man and a 20 year old girl was just sick.

Loved this book. It's a sweet and sometimes sad story. When good-looking, Jared sees his next door neighbor Amy all grown up, it's an instant attraction for Jared who happens to do some criminal activities at times. Amy has had a rough life for someone so young. But when these two come together there's some hot romance. I loved how sweet and caring Jared is to Amy and her family. The book is fast-paced and I was definitely captured from the first page.

She does it again, taking a beautiful story, grows the love and makes it a hea that everyone would want. Amy works hard trying to be the best she can be dealing with life situations and helping the family. Jared slowly wakes up to the world around him seeing that life around him exists and it is an eye opener. Sweet sweet sweet!

I love a sassy heroine and Nikita Slater has given us another one! This is not a dark romance but a sweet love story with some great suspense. I also loved being able to Lao get a peek at the favorite characters from Loving Vincent.

As usual Nikita has given me a story that I will revisit again. I always look forward to each of her stories and she is an automatic buy for me. Five BIG stars!

Even though this was a short story. I still enjoyed it. Jared was a very bad boy but just a softy and Amy had such a hard life but Jared made sure her life got easier. As always bad things happened and together they made it work. I enjoyed every minute of this story. As always great job Nikita!!!!! Loved it

Ok what a wonderful novella!!! I absolutely loved Jared and Amy. Amy is young but mature and also has the world on her shoulders. Jared who has known Amy since she was much younger realizes what a beauty she has turned into and the very heavy responsibility she has raising her younger siblings. There are so many elements to this story and of course an HEA!

Sweet and short story which can be read when you don't have a lot of time or you are looking for something to relax you. That was the case with me after long week at work on the weekend I needed something different and Loving Jared was exactly that. Great Summer Read!

I love everything Nikita writes and this novella is no different. It's an insta-love story between an ex-biker with a dark past and his neighbor who is 14 years younger. The story flows smoothly and doesn't feel contrived. It's a great summer read, I definitely recommend it.
