If you’re close enough to see the color of its sharp, pitch colored teeth…
Hesper had been too close. Along with five other children, she vanished without so much as a shred of clothing left behind. Ten years later she’s found, soaking wet, on the side of a river, telling a story about monsters with black teeth. No one believes her, and she is forced to gather up the scraps of her life and move forward. One of the other missing children’s family does believe she has information she’s not sharing and kidnaps her. The monsters discover where she’s located, and they don’t forgive slights because Hesper has slighted them terribly. She has to run for her life and when that doesn’t work, she has to go on a painful and violent offensive to protect herself and others.
The monsters don’t go bump in the night, they go splash in the water…

I won this book in the Goodreads Giveaway. I thought this book was great. I would say it is a sci-fi, horror and maybe thriller book. Great story with some parts that will bring a tear to your eye as well as give you a good scare. The creatures are original and don't let you down. I could see this as a good horror film. I look forward to other books by the author.

A real page turner. Vivid imagery. A bit too much profanity for my taste, but in context. Fascinating characters. The book leaves you wondering what happened to them all. The story was well told and moved along nicely.
I really couldn’t put this book down once I started it. It kept my attention , was fast paced, and never slowed down. I really hope there will be a sequel to this story.
As always, the character and story development are done so well it is completely captivating. I spent the majority of my day off stuck in this ebook. It is to be hoped this exposure with Amazon will bring the author many more readers/fans.
I won the book in a Goodreads drawing. I adored this book. I'll be honest, I wasn't really sure about it in the beginning, but it sucked me in and wouldn't let go.
