The content is very interesting although I've been studying for many years so most of it was not new. It is a good devotional. The one criticism I have is that there are punctuation errors and missed words that I just fill in to keep the meaning correct.
I am very interested in learning more a about Jewish culture and the Jewish Jesus. This book seems to help with that, however it can be difficult to understand. I will re-read immediately.
Loved the word study. I had this crazy idea that at 60, I was going to learn Hebrew. That lasted about a week. I love hearing from Christian Jewish pastors. They enlighten our knowledge to the original texts for those of us who can’t read Greek or Hebrew. God bless
This Author is excellent at explaining things so that everyone can understand . The prayers he offers up are beautiful and are filled with much relating to my understanding and belief .
Interesting to insert the Hebrew word and it's more accurate meaning into the verse and re-read it for a better understanding of what god's people recorded - I very much enjoyed this little book.
I have enjoyed the depth and wealth of words in this short book. The thoughtfulness put into these daily devotionals focuses on words and their meaning. My journey to discover the way God speaks through the original Hebrew text is something I have found to be very powerful. It's beautiful to be able to seek out and understand how the author describes scripture and its background. The prayers are my favorite part.
This is a great tool for learning the Hebrew reason why and what. The only thing I had difficulty with was some of the typos and grammar, but that’s just me. I am rather OCD when it comes to grammar. But if you want to learn the Hebrew traditions, I believe this is a good start and highly recommend it.
Studying the Word of God comes alive ever more with the study of the Hebrew words in the text. This brings light and understanding. It is an expansion and left me hungry for more. Written in easy to understand language. I recommend studying with the word open.. side by side. Simple one word a day.
The authors had some great insights on some of the devotional days that were rooted in Scripture. However, about 60-70% I struggled reconciling with Scripture. Also, being a devotional I felt that the authors lacked precision in their application of the idea they presented leaving the reader to figure it out or not seeing how it applies. This was my greatest frustration with this devotional.
