Poptropica #3

El club secreto

Rate this book
In this exciting third installment of the Poptropica series, we find Mya, Oliver, and Jorge in the custody of a secret society whose mission is to protect and preserve Poptropica—a mysterious, uncharted island world. These Protectors, as they call themselves, believe that any outside interference with the islands of Poptropica could have catastrophic results on the course of history in the real world. As if things aren’t bad enough, Octavian has finally claimed possession of the confounding map, thwarted the society’s attempts to capture him, and is determined to alter the time line. The trio must join forces with the Protectors and find Octavian before he can go through with his evil plot, or all of human history might be changed—or worse—destroyed!

Cata distractie in volumul 3!!! De data aceasta intalnim Societatea Secreta care protejeaza timpul, dar axul timpului e dat peste cap de Octavian si civilizatii intregi dispar.

The third in the Poptropica Book series, this picks up where the last left off -- with Mya, Oliver, and Jorge being whisked by mysterious captors, to a mysterious island, meeting a mysterious man, and learning about their mysterious group. The trio learn about the work the Protectors are doing to keep history from being changed – and changing the future as a result. They go to battle the evil Octavian, with the help of Jonas. A cliff-hanging ending sets this graphic novel up for the next in the series, The End of All Time…coming in Fall 2017. Like many graphic novels, this is light on character development and high on visual action. As their publicity claims, this sci fi tale is filled with Action! Mystery! Humor! And Adventure! Fans of Poptropica, Wimpy Kid and Big Nate will gobble this up. Buy if you have others in the series; while they recap previous events, it is helpful to have read all of them in order.

his book is an anime. The story tells that four good friends were imprisoned by creatures that looked like aliens. Later, an old grandfather rescued them and introduced them to his spaceship. The final book One of the bad guys destroyed the spaceship!I think this bad guy is very annoying because he betrayed his friends.

It's been awhile since I read the first 2 books of this series, but it was still pretty simple to fall back into this story without re-reading the others.

I enjoyed the story, and will be continuing this series.

The genre of this book is comics, the title of the book is Secret Society, and the author is Mickey Keparta. At the beginning of this book, a group of people came together to study in a place. In the middle, they were betrayed and framed. At the end, they unite and win together.

I still think book I was the best story. This part of the storyline was tricky to follow.

This was not a very exciting third book of this series. I hope the fourth will be better. It was boring and uninteresting.

The plot thickens. What is happening? I hope I get some answers. This is stranger and stranger.

1st grader loves it!

I enjoyed reading this to my daughter for bedtime. She was originally introduced to it through her classroom literacy time.

I had hoped that this series would get better with time, but unfortunately, it hasn't.

A novel concept, but terribly execution throughout. There are simply much better middle grade graphic novels out there.

I'm not sure if I will read the conclusion.

OMG OMG OMG *flails like crazy* This was amazing, can it be fall already so we can find out how this series ends?

All the books in the Poptropica series have been exciting, full of action, comedy and more, but this one definitely went up a notch. We find out a whole lot, yet still are shrouded in mystery. If anything, I got even more questions. :P

I still adore our main characters, both Jorge and Mya are my favourites. Jorge because he is pretty fun, plus it is quite hilarious to see how he generally just keeps eating, even if the world is ending. And Mya is level-headed and brave and kick-ass. I have a weak spot for kick-ass girl characters.

Octavian is the big baddie, but with several actions of his, I do wonder if he was truly this bad, or if he was just rebelling against the system set in place in Poptropica and of course trying to save that which he lost. The system is kind of logical, the same principals are found in any time travelling book. Do not change the past, even if you desperately want to do that. But I can imagine, given what Octavian lost, that he might want to break those rules.

We meet several new characters. Well, I am not too sure if I like them that much. They were friendly, but they were quite stuck in their ways. Jonas wouldn't listen to reason, and Albright, well is Albright.

We find out a bit more about Poptropica, and it was definitely interesting to find out more about this world, the islands, Aegis.

I love the maps at the beginning and the ending and how you can see what is changed. I am going to see if I can break the code on the map, it seems to be runes, but some are facing a different way, and a few I can't find. But I will try and see if it turns out to be something, it would be fun.

Of course this one ends in a giant cliffhanger of awesomeness. As I said I am not sure if Octavian is so evil as a lot of people are saying. He seems to do bad stuff yes, but he also seems to do some good stuff. I hope we will find out more about him in the next, and last, volume. Squee! I can't wait to see how everything will come together. And I am hoping our main characters will find a way home. Which also makes me wonder if this world works the same as so many other fantasy worlds, will time have passed in the real world? Or has it been mere minutes of time loss?

Gah, I can't wait for fall to come. I would highly recommend this book to everyone!
