I dived into this book expecting practical, objective, matter-of-fact information on how to improve my environmental consciousness and become "greener". This was not it. And I don't mean that in a bad way, quite the contrary, actually. I'm fully aware that this type of book will NOT be for everybody. However, I consider myself a spiritual person and I'm always on the search for something deeper, a more profound aspect of things. This book is a wonderful combination of spirituality and environmentalism. Okay, more heavy on the spirituality, I'd guess about a 80:20 ratio. It is honestly one of the most influential books I've ever read and if you're like me, and consider environmentalism as not simply a mean of ensuring a long life for yourself, but something of a higher meaning, a path not only to a better environment but a better humanity as well, you're gonna love this one. However, if you want hardcore facts, statistics and so forth, just look up the websites stated at the end of the book or pick up a completely different book altogether.
