💞The story starts with Lillian who is now eighteen and is supposed to leave the orphanage and enter the real world, the author takes the readers to May of 1895 in Oklahoma, this is a very short read and it's the first book in the series. It's not a just a romance novel but it's a tale of sisterhood, along with the protagonist Annabel and Rebekah has my heart too. The orphans are taken care by Jim and Sarah, again characters who can melt your heart. The story takes many ups and downs!

Once Lillian leaves the orphanage, the real story starts, it depicts her survial in the world of which she is not much aware, how would she cope up with everything? Will she find a job? Will she find her cow boy? (That makes you want to read it, correct? You should) This is exactly what kept me going, I completed this book within few hours, I just couldn't keep it down. I felt happy, sad, down, sometimes excited to know what happens further. This book has many human aspects, it has soft romance, it tells us a story of a orphan which in turn makes me feel blessed to be with loving parents, it describes human bonds, the settings are very cozy! It's an emotional rollercoaster which definitely touched my heart! In a way, the book gives a message of finding your own way, no matter what! Coming to my other favorite character I won't be talking much about is Clint, oh boy! He is such an amazing character, I just wanted to read more and more!
.
The storyline is mostly narrated through well written dialogues, they go so well. Christine is my new favorite and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Lillian's Cowboy by the author Christine Clinton is a love story. It is the first book in the Guthrie Sister Series. The protagonist of the story is an orphan Lillian who left her orphanage The story st May 1895.

The story starts with Lillian Rogers leaving the orphanage in Guthrie, Oklahoma because she has reached the legal age of eighteen. So, she had to be on her own now into the real world. When she saw the oak tree, it reminded her of her childhood. Annabel, Rebekah and Lillian made the pact twelve years ago by standing under the oak tree to be sisters forever and to remain together. But now, Lillian was moving from the orphanage without her sisters. Lillian got a job at one of the sisters orphanages in New York.

Another main character is Clint. He is the same man that lent handkerchief to Lillian when she was crying at the station. When Client went to Sheriff's office, he saw the missing person poster and suddenly recognized the girl he saw weeks earlier. Lillian met Clint Davis when he was to pick the housekeeper who applied for the job. Lillian found that she has applied for the job at Clint's place. What gonna happen further in the story? Will they fell in love?

Grab a copy of this book and read this interesting story. The narration was so smooth, it felt like I was watching a movie. This was a short read and I was able to finish it in a single sitting. I definitely recommend this to those who love to read love stories.

This book reads like it was written by a 12 year old. Whoever edited this book should be fired. There are typos on every page. The narrative jumps from present to past tense in the same sentence. It's written from Lillian's perspective, but it's poorly done. There are times you can't tell who's talking. And every once in a while it will say "she" instead of "I". Then go right back to "I". Lillian even talks about events going on back in the orphanage in first person - like she's there. But she's not. It's so weird.

If you can get past all the typos, grammatical errors, poor word choices, and repetitive words (get a thesaurus) you are left with undeveloped characters, annoying dialogue, and an all around bad story. I picked up this book because it's based in OK in an area my family recently visited. I was so excited for a story set in a town I had just walked around. Other than mentioning Harvey House restaurants there's nothing truly historical about this book - no mention of real people or events. It was truly a let down and I am so sad that I wasted money on the whole set. I won't even waste my time on the second and third books.

Good points - it's short. I finished it in 2 days, but probably could have read it in one sitting. That's about the only positive thing I can say for the book.

A gripping short read is the most apt term that can be used to describe the book, however fairness would not be achieved without a brief delineation would supplement the same. Delving further, the storyline is based in the year 1895 around the character of Lillian who has spent the whole of her life in the largest orphan of Oklahoma but on turning 18 has to abide by the custom of leaving for facing the world and its ways and had to leave behind her sisters with whom she had made a pact to forever staying together under the oak tree and while leaving vivid details pertaining to her childhood strikes her. As the plot progresses the arrival of the character Clint happens and a series of events connoting a perfect interplay of Coincidences laced with uncertainties with regards to a happy ending which happens to be the most gripping part of the book

It must be noted that the author has presented the whole work in a fairly lucid fashion with attention to detail given to every tiny element bearing any form of relevance with the lives of the characters. The combined effect of the same being that the book is a must read for those who are into romance genre and broadly speaking anyone willing to lay his/her hands upon a good read, this book is a one stop for any individual.

Book: "Lillian's Cowboy"
Author: Christine Clinton
Rating: 4/5

This was a very short and crisp read. I found it cute and sweet.

This story takes place in 1895. The story evolves through the eyes of an orphan who left her orphanage in Oklahoma when she turned 18. While travelling, she stumbles upon a young man named Clinton. Lillian is all set to start a new life when Clinton sees a missing poster advertising her. Lillian's works collapse when some drastic decisions are being made. What plans have destiny planned for her? Grab a copy soon to see many surprises unfold.

I enjoyed reading this. The writing style was remarkably well and beautiful. I loved the way the story was developed.

This book presented me with a wonderful reading experience. I appreciate this work.

Idea for book was great. The writing would have failed a middle school literature essay.
