Rate this book
The day she finally realized her dream of working in Manhattan’s fashion market, Abigail decided she was done with men. When a storm brings a mysterious client to her shop, she gets an opportunity straight out of a fairy tale—she has just one day to make a suit worthy of a king. And maybe one last magical night of dinner and dancing. But that’s it! Never again!

Bear shifter and international diplomat, Raine is in New York on a mission of peace. A sudden opportunity to broker a meeting between two powerful shifter communities is too important to pass up, even if he’s unprepared and underdressed. Raine tells himself that he doesn’t have time for romance. Not when diplomatic policy among shifters is settled by being the strongest and the fastest…and when Raine keeps the peace, he has to be stronger and faster than anyone else! But he can’t put aside his fascination with this beautiful human seamstress with her fast, skillful fingers and her quick wit.

When a simple farewell kiss reveals Abigail to be his true mate, Raine knows he’s facing the greatest challenge of his life as he must convince level-headed Abigail to enter a world where teeth and claws are the height of fashion. But getting Abigail to accept shifters into her life is only the beginning, as powerful unseen forces are moving around them...

The version I read had “Murphy Lawless” as the author name. A wee little romp of a book😉 Bearly Dressed is a imaginative drive into the world of Shifters. They don’t do the sparkling lights of Nalini Singh, not the painful, gory process of Patricia Briggs, in this first book. It’s more like the Incredible Hulk of clothes ripping, and teeth and claws with naked afters. There are practical ones and mythical ones and alphas a plenty. Can’t wait for round two.

Good story!

There's just something about bear shifters...probably has to do with the Teddy Bear collection I'd had since I was a kid plus about 15 years? I still have one that I've had since I was a baby. Anyway! It's a quick book, I liked the characters. There are a few errors that should have been caught. Is it worth reading? Yes. Should you bump another out of line to read it? No.

Interesting

A tailor in New York struggling to run the shop for her boss while the city is flooded and a Hurricane is rolling in. Then she gets an impossible task. Make a tailored suit for a diplomat-in one day. Oh and he happens to be a shifter....and maybe her mate?

I thought it was a cute bit of fluff. Way too fast a read for someone desperate for diversion.

I did appreciate the fleshed out main character and the diversity in the cast. I may even go grab the rest of the series.

Paranormal with a difference.

Murphy Lawless is a new author....or Author's....to my list of excellent paranormal genré writer's.
Absolutely awed with the selection of variety and myths found within this novel, allowing my imagination to run wild with all the possibilities.
One could never be boated with a number of Author's writing under one name as their styles choices and ultimately the world's they create will always have that touch of something a little different calling to the reader's.
This book is the perfect 👌 opportunity to introduce numerous mythical beasts, supernatural beings even alien's into a series that so far has given plenty of action, mystery, and passion with class and taste.
I have to admit that the characters within this novel are closer to feeling like I would expect real shifter's to be like than any other book's I have read. Just enough fun entertainment and reality within this fantastic storyline, giving plenty of historical details and artistic enjoyment throughout as we get to meet a caring human and her wonderful partner who has secrets she needs to know about and understand.
Throughout this book you get the continued feeling that we will meet or be introduced to something else that's being kept just out of our reach, you must grab a copy to find out if I am right.
If paranormal romance is a topic you enjoy reading then this novel will keep you totally enthralled from the first page, I couldn't put the book down.
