❌ABANDONED-DID NOT FINISH❌

To say that I was disenchanted with the few chapters I read of this garbage is putting it mildly. I'm not prudish (much), but I was repulsed big time. At the beginning of the book "Max" came off as a real prick who derived great pleasure in causing and increasing Ebony's discomfiture. Whether they developed feelings for each other is unknown to me because I didn't stick around. BTW, Valentina has written an exceptional review. Oh, If only I had known, I would never have started this book! 😫

Not my cup of tea, the hero Matt was a real ass**le and it has been a while since I’ve despised a character so much. Fortunately this novel was short because That guy is a jerk and I did not feel any chemistry or attraction between the couple, he was brutal and sick in my opinion. I do not care about the following story and frankly all of the bad reviews regarding this novel are legitimate.

5 of 28 on my road of out-of-my-comfort-zone books for the month of October!

One of my worst read of 2021.

This was a amazingly good read

Going into this book I didn’t know what to expect. This is a new author and the book is less than 100 pages which I don’t do. Nonetheless, I bypass the reservations I had and decided to give this novella a chance.

And I would explicitly say how much I savored every minute if it. The author can weave a carnal setting. The characters liven up to the chemistry that was discernible from the first few sentences of the book.

I’m beyond astounded with the author and I think both main characters possess a chemistry that’s undeniable.

The books do have a few grammatical errors, but not to infer anything from the scorching hot erotica descriptions.

Overall a really interesting plot and narration. The characters are deeply blemished and have nothing in common, but they both sustain a connection that resonates.

I’ll say get this book you won’t be let down.

An erotic arrangement

A novella of "Max" (Chris) and Ebony (Emily)'s encounter. Ebony is working as a prostitute, meeting her first (and only) client, Chris. Chris wastes no time using her services. They develop an attraction towards each other that lengthens their time together, but is abruptly cut short.

What I liked about the story:
- Darker themes for a BWWM romance
- Originality of theme without judgment, neither were "pure' characters: Emily sold herself because she felt she had to, for survival. Chris non-apologetically paid for her services.
- Age gap, an element of taboo
- Very steamy with abandonment and no long build up
- Heroine's demonstrated vulnerability, demure and submissive to the hero
- Hero's larger than life persona and attractiveness

What could have been better:
- Character development; the connection between two didn't feel authentic; their relationship came across a bit stilted even though from the activities in the story they were attracted to each other
- Accuracy of portrayal of wealth. If Chris was so wealthy, why did he book a hotel room lacking in luxury, why did he complain that the mini-bar was too expensive?
- Proofing and editing

Still the story intrigued me and was so entertaining that I definitely want to read the next book.

Really good book to get the juices flowing

I really enjoyed this first part of the story. Max and Ebony are good characters the author has described them well. The story is good and draws you in with a generous dose of elicit sex.
I’m really looking forward to reading the other two parts to this trilogy.
Good book to get the juices flowing 😀

Sex for Sale!

When you choose to sell yourself as a sex toy, then you cannot be too disdainful of someone who tries to give you good advice for the future! Ebony tells herself that she has good reasons to do what she is doing and she still a good girl! No, my dear, you decide to behave like a slut and allow yourself to be treated like a slut, then you slutty! Also, those observing the situation can treat you like the slut you have given them reason to believe that you are by your actions!

Too brutal!

I certainly hope this series starts to show some finesse, because right now Chris is in no way sexy with his rough BDSM style of sex. He is not pulling that off in any way, shape or form. Even if Ebony is suppose to be a "prostitute". I am though, for some reason, finding some potential in the story, so I'm going to keep reading the rest of series to see if they can make it more of a love story with some sex thrown in, and not a porn story. We'll see.

It's just a no for me. I skipped and skimmed through after 45% it was boring and it just didn't interest me. I can't see myself reading the other books.

2.50 Stars. BW/WM). A Kindle Edition 89 page novella e-book for ninety-nine cent.

Setting: Untold location.

Trope: 11 year age gap. Newbie hooker hired by older businessman.

Characters:
1. Ebony/ Emily Gordon, heroine, is a 19-year-old college student making her debut as a prostitute.
2. Max/ Christopher Maxwell Abramovich, hero, is a 30-year-old wealthy businessman who hires a prostitute.

Max comes off as a seasoned unapologetic dominate who is without a submissive and chooses to hire a prostitute for sex. Max is immediately aware that he is Ebony's first 'john' and it pleases him to push her buttons. Ebony abolishes all his preconceived notions about her being a prostitute... she's from an upper middle class loving family, she's intelligent and smart-considering majoring in engineering, she's not a drinker or drug user and has plans to become woman of means. They start to fall for each other-she responds like she could be the submissive he desires and he is the strong dominate alpha male she desires. Nine years pass before they see each other after he had left her at his friend's party. I think I'll read IVORY book 2 just to see if I'm right.

Decent I did not care too much for the sw storyline aspect but it was easily forgotten during the parts it’s not directly being talked about it gives super hot dom sub vibes but more so a som borrowing a sub or a new dom as he does not give her any rules in this one it comes off as a dom man and sub woman and not really a dom sub bond no contracts or intentions on making her his full time sub as of yet the age gap and income gap is decently played in here I wish it was a little bit longer so excited to read Ivory

A little hard for me to take in general. This really is enemy cup of tea but it definitely turns out better than I anticipated. Overall, it's A good book if this a story line that you typically enjoy. This book was recommended by UniqueWords, LLC.

Interesting

This book is interesting, it is basically a short read. Most of it is about the sexual activities between Ebony and Max/Chris. It’s part one of a 3 series book. I’m semi-excited know what happens next.

Ebony & Max!?

Ok, definitely an interesting arrangement... Ebony may be 19, a little naive, but definitely not stupid. But, you Max/Chris should know better.
Anyway, I can't wait to see what happened 9 years later.
Nice read!
