In a world overrun by zombies, breathing, living friends are hard to find. Would you risk your life to save them?

Nurse Alissa, her friends, and her cat Archer fight their way through a zombie-infested state to get to the safety of her mountain cabin. It offers sanctuary as well as new challenges as all the routine commodities of the modern world are now luxuries. Soon they find a new enemy to fight--cabin fever. The most exciting thing that happens to them is meeting their neighbor Chris and his dog Shithead.

Bored people do stupid things. When one of their group is seriously injured and needs emergency medical assistance, the others face certain death to get help.

Will they get what they need and return safely? Will Archer and Shithead ever become friends?

NAVZ 2 - Escape, follows Alissa and her companions as they get further away from the city and make their way into the mountains, where they hope to find safety. They encounter plenty of peril and make a few new friends on the way. A fun follow on to the first book and a good set up for the next in the series. Short and entertaining action & adventure story.

I tried to give this series a chance, but just can't get into it. The pace is fine, and the characters are interesting, but I just can't get past the poor editing. Misspelled, misused, and missing words make it a chore to read (I'm guessing Mr. Baker uses speech-to-text to write).

Then there are the believability issues. The lead character is a master shot with a pistol she finds, but later mentions that she's never picked up a gun before. Another character is chopping wood and somehow ends up hitting his thigh. Have you ever swung an axe? Is that even physically possible?

A good editor would find these errors and suggest they be corrected before the books made it to print and turn these stories into a five star read.

An ass kicking romp through the zombie apocalypse

An outstanding story of a group of survivors on an ass kicking Romp through the zombie apocalypse. Alyssa and Nathan are heading north out of Massachusetts trying to find their way to Alyssa‘s cabin up north. Follow along as they and their other companions make their way north. Thousands of zombies are in the way as well as The typical jack ass humans that are always up to no good in a crisis. Will they survive or will they die. That is the question. Can They make it and survive. read on and find out. You will not be disappointed it is one action packed thrill ride from beginning to end.

This was a well-written, action packed continuation of the adventures of Nurse Alissa and her friends against the Undead. The author has created an awesome group of characters, including a belligerent cat and a dog with a great nickname (won't put it here since it might offend the powers that be!). There is enough zombie-filled action for even the most diehard fan, but plenty of real life scenes as well. I can't wait to continue the further adventures of Alissa and friends.

The narrator did a great job and her performance added a lot to my enjoyment of this audiobook. I was given the chance to listen to this book by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

Great Story Continues

Really enjoy this series and reading how Alissa, Nathan, and the rest fight to try and teach safety in her cabin. Chris is an interesting character and has fit in nicely with the story. Their journey and battles so far have been against the undead and some extremely close calls. I look forward to the next book when the humans will become the new villains to fear. I enjoy Archer and agree with Scott Baker that my cat too has not gotten used to me being in his space all day 7 days a week. Looking forward to book 3!

First of I love how the cat survived this book. Mostly the seem to get attacked or left. As a cat lover(crazy cat lady) and a general animal lover it's nice to see. I wonder if I should start one of those website where you can look up movies to see if the pet dies only it would be books.

Anyway I really liked the continuation of the story. It still felt real despite the scrapes they got into and out of. There was no they survived because they did something magical or hit exreamly lucky. There was some luck involved but mostly planning and skill. Can't wait to read the next one.

Such a fun jaunt into zombie chaos! This was a check of a follow-up to book 1 and I was super excited to read it! Alyssa and her crew, including Archer the cat, have their hands full and eyes must stay open in this deadly new world. I sincerely hope there is a book 3 as I want more! Scott Baker is exceptional storyteller and I read what I can of his. You won't be disappointed if you want book 1 and then dive into this book.

Alissa and the group fight for survival while trying to reach the cabin. They finally arrive and settle into a routine, meet a couple of new friends while Archer is not thrilled with one of them....lol. An serious injury occurs which forces some of the group to make a terrifying trip for blood. Will they all survive and how long will it be before not so nice fellow survivors find them? Looking forward to reading more of this groups story.

As long as you treat it as fiction (and not just the zombie parts of it) it's fine, however if you want a zombie book with the zombies being the only thing that's unbelievable, then this is not your book.
I like my zombie books with a side of some realistic, like how weapons work etc.

The story is very high action but it definitely feels more like installments than full books.
Since it is so action packed, this is not a bad thing.

Thank you again Alina!

This book was done to soon and I wanted more. So far so good. Fast pace and Non stop action with lots of deaders. Give this author a read and then write those reviews. Can’t wait until the next book to see how what happens next for our folks. I am Team Nathan.

Picks up right where book 1 ended on the cabin cruiser with Alissa and group trying to escape the zombie break out.
I could not put this down finding that I held my breath and yelling for them to run or hide. I didn't want to see anything bad happen to Alissa, Nathan, Steve, Miriam or the kids. Now I have a feeling Scott will make bad things happen and even more when book 3 comes out.

WTG again!

Loved this 2nd installment of Nurse Alissa's journey trying to survive the Deaders. There is plenty of action and I like the focus on how they are living their lives now and along the way they meet a couple friends.... or foes? You will have to read it to find out! My only complaint was that I wish it was twice as long!

2nd book is better than the first

This book is even better than the first one, now we get a chance to what is happening with Alissa and her friends on their way to her cabin. Lets just say that they are in for a rocky ride..Scott Baker proves again that he is a force to be contended with and leaves us craving more. I cant wait for the next book..

Wow

The action sure did pick up in this installment of out story. Nurse Alissa and friends sure did have a hairy ride up the river!
They found a new friend, saved a friend that had an attack of stupidity, found thousands of deaders, and went for a swim. Oh, and started a journal.
Now to see how bad things can get with the wonderful group headed their way!

I have to say I have been blown away by this series so far. It's not often you find an original take on the Zombie apocalypse but Scott Baker has done it! Brilliant believable characters in believable situations just trying to survive. Narration is excellent and gave life to the characters. I can't wait to hear the next one!

Read it in one night...

Love how detailed the story is and all the action.
They haven't come across a lot of non infected.
That would suck if the sting causes him to get infected after he started to like her. On to the next book...

Have you read a million zombie novels?

I have. This was a fun read. The right amount of butt clenching, smart moves and enough wander to keep me reading. Thank you Mr Baker for this read. I'm excited to read more.

The second book in this fast paced zombie apocalypse story and it was just as good as the first if not better. This time we got some more character development for our lead heroine and some new characters to enjoy. Looking forward to reading more about Nurse Alissa.
A great short read

Quick read!!

Good zombie story! No romance but I’m hoping that changes in the next couple of books. There is not a ton of character conversation but we are slowly getting to know them.

Book 2

Is better than the first because Alissa is finally able to really interact with other characters. As new people are introduced, the depth of her personality becomes more clear. Of course the zombies still want to kill them all.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first. It just seemed to lack something, but I'm not sure what.
