Absolutely love Regan Black's books she doesn't Amazing Story each and every book.. The Protector World Brothers Hood love this series recommended to all..
Nolan Swan is a lawyer going back home to settle the estate of his aunt who has passed...
But when he gets home to the estate take care of business someone is in the house with a ball bat shoving it into his gut..
Not knowing it was Michelle the woman from his past with whom they had a one night stand..
From that one night stand they created a life he knew nothing about...
Now Michelle feels she needs to let him know what happened with that... Michelle is at the estate because she owns her own shop and sells Antiques & Etc furniture she feels in danger because someone has been sending her text messages emails so she's getting away from town for a bit.

The first step with this book was right down the rabbit hole. The Law Firm of Gamble and Swann, Michigan St, Chicago has been mentioned in previous Guardian Agency books and what came to my mind was grey haired men who were busy with ‘payable hours’. It had been mentioned that Swann did keep a close eye on the Guardian Agency staffing, but I read that to mean someone on the staff kept him up to date on that aspect. Nolan Swann and Patrick Gamble are not the grey-haired men I had thought they were.
They want to recruit a man that they believe is innocent and would be a good fit at the Guardian Agency. He is currently in one of the prisons in Leavenworth, Kansas and that requires they have a face to face meeting. Swann has been procrastinating taking care of the business of a family estate in Leavenworth and decides to combine the two pieces of business into one trip. What Swann is not expecting is that there might be other pieces of unfinished business for him in Leavenworth.
Melissa Korbel runs an antique shop and on-line business in Leavenworth. Swann’s great aunt Ellen Sue and Melissa had become friends before Ellen Sue’s death. Melissa and Swann had met at Ellen Sue’s funeral and had spent some ‘no strings adult time’ together. Melissa has gotten some e-mails that have become more and more aggressive. She is working late in her shop when someone breaks in her back door demanding a missing necklace that Melissa knows nothing about. After the police chase off the man, she decides to spend the night at Ellen Sue’s house.

Absolutely fantastic book. Nolan is quite a character and easy to fall in love with. I was totally entranced with this story and anxious to read more.

The Guardian Agency is a great series and It was different again to have one of the Swann and Gamble Lawyers to have a story. Nolan Swann and his partner Patrick Gamble had a meeting this person never left his home. So he wanted them to do him a favor and look into a person who he felt was wrongfully charged and then he wants them to put him to work at the agency. So this time Nolan Swann to his home town of Leavenworth, Kansas and also the prison where Connor Brady was serving is sentence. So Nolan went home and packed and made all the arrangement he was thinking about it he remember the one night stand he had and never called her back. also had his grocery order called in and was headed to the airport. Well things had changed while he was gone Michelle had her own Antique store still but she had come across some problems. She was in her office doing her closing of the day paperwork and cashing up when someone broke into the store and didn't know she was there. So she called 911 from her office and but the cops scared him off. So the officer waited for her to do what she had to do then. She went to Ellen Sue house's where she felt safe because nobody knew she was there. So she went and took a shower and found the gun Ellen Sue had and went to bed. Then she heard someone drive in so she went downstairs found the baseball bat and couldn't tell who it was and waited for whoever it was to come in. When he came in she went right for his stomach with the bat and took his breath away. When he got his breath back she helped him up and asked him why he was there? He also asked her why she was there. He said," he was there to fix the house and on business". Michelle said," someone broke into her store and didn't dare go home and felt safer here". So they talked and he wanted to know where her car was she told him in the barn/ garage. So they worked together to figured out what was going on with Michelle as well as Nolan did his job on the house and at the prison.Finally she broke down and told him about the baby she lost from the one night they had spent together and that changed everything. Well he ended up calling in The Guarding Angels and the Brother Protectors because he wanted to make sure they where both safe and nothing happened to either of them. This is one of The Guardian Angels was tense, suspense, romance and kept you turning the page to the very end. I can says Regan Black this is another book I will put up on the shelf. You took me Kansas and I enjoyed every bit of this trip as I do all the others.

Getting to dive into another one that is a series and world that I have fallen for. We are thrown into drama that will pull us to the edge when Michelle is in danger and being threatened. Since Nolan has to take care of a few things he runs into her while at his aunt's house. When we are now hooked for good and this also looks like a second chance could come off of it we have our nose in it. Trust will also have to build in there with that said we see it in action. Until that happens danger could win. This author knows how to spin intrigue with romance in such a way we are lost until we are found at the end of the book.

This book was a fun addition to the Guardian Agency series/Brotherhood Protectors World. The characters were appealing, the storyline was engaging and there was plenty of suspense, mystery, and danger to hold interest, as well as a sweet, satisfying romance.
Noah and Michelle were charming characters who had known each other for a long time. Michelle runs an antique shop in Noah’s hometown and they meet up again for a one-night stand when he comes to town for his aunt’s funeral. They shared an incredible night with no strings and even though they each thought of the other often, neither reached out afterward. Michelle was close to his aunt and according to her will is responsible for cataloging Sue Ellen’s antiques and preparing them for auction while Noah is responsible for the estate itself. He has not been home since her funeral and has been procrastinating returning to deal with everything, partly because of Michelle. However, an assignment at a nearby prison draws him close enough to take care of both matters in the same trip.
Aside from his assignment at the prison to ascertain a certain inmate’s true guilt/innocence once he returns home and sees Michelle again decides he has some unfinished business with her as well. His buried feelings for her along with memories and nostalgia of the past have him rethinking his future. But in order to rekindle the flame, he first has to earn her trust, and then he has to keep her alive.

Well, that was a doozy of an introduction to the legal back-up of the Guardians! The mysterious Gamble and Swann, well Swann in this case, is not a dusty old fuddy-duddy being used as a front as I thought. Nope, Swann is one handsome hottie, legal eagle with a streak of Alpha a mile wide!
Nolan is getting out of the office to recruit a potential new recruit for the Guardian Agency. He'll also combine it with a visit back home to clear up the estate of a beloved auntie. He did not expect to find a former flame hiding out. Said flame almost takes his head off!
Melissa and Swann's little tete a tete after Ellen Sue's funeral left behind a little surprise, one that Melissa did not tell Swann about. Now she needs his help dealing with a deranged antique thief.
What a great read! I really should have known that Gamble and Swann would not be what I assumed would be a crusty couple of curmudgeons! Regan does like to slap you up the side of the head with a plot twist! Swann is just about the perfect hero; strong, smart, loyal, with just the right amount of possessiveness. I REALLY want to know who is on the end of that phone! Who is the big Kahuna?

June 8, 2020Nolan Swann is a lawyer for a rich benefactor who helps out veterans and builds specialty teams. His next project is to figure out if a man in military prison in jail for treason is actually guilty. In order to do that he has to go back home to Leavenworth, Kansas. Something he doesn't want to do. He had a one night stand with Michelle and never called her back. Now's she's got a bit of trouble brewing and she's hiding out at his great aunt's house. Let's just say, she's good with a bat. "Something just tumbled into place deep inside and everything felt right. Clear. He wouldn't rush her or pressure her, but he wouldn't give her any reason or room to doubt his intentions". I love the Brotherhood Protector series and it's nice to keep hearing from them in Ms. Black's writing.
I love a totally confident man who knows what he wants and will do what he has to to find their happily ever after.

A Fabulous Suspense Romance .
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Swann . I really enjoyed reading this story . It's full of intrigue and suspense. The characters are wonderful . Nolan Swann is an Attorney for the Guardian Agency . Swann goes to Kansas to look into a young man in Leavenworth penitentiary who maybe wrongfully accused and may be a perfect fit for the Guardian Agency . Swann also wants to make things right with Michelle Korbel the friend he spent an unforgettable night with after his aunt's funeral a year ago . He never called her . When he gets to his aunt's house where he plans to stay . He's surprised to find Michelle there hiding . He soon finds Michelle is in danger and needing protection . He also finds he truely has feelings for her . He'll need help from Guardian and Hank Patterson's agency to get his forever with Michelle . This story is fantastic . I highly recommend reading .

Suspense, mystery, romance that left me feeling satisfied and enthused. Loved the new information doled out to us who are following the Guardian Agency Books and we saw more of the wonderful Brotherhood Protectors. Win-Win Nolan (lawyer at the Guardian Agency is checking out a potential new member recommended by their benefactor. This potential new member is in Leavenworth. Killing two birds with one stone he will swing by his deceased Aunts house to do some repairs and meets up with Michelle, a one night stand from the funeral, who has been targeted and is hiding. I loved the freshness of this book. There wasn't hate and old painful words batted back in forth, but you still feel the sorrow they both felt. The new info on the Guardian Agency was great, it stirs up so much excitement for the next book. Thank you Regan Black for the arc, for such an enjoyable read. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

Neither Nolan nor Michelle have forgotten the night together about a year ago and now Nolan has the chance to go home for work and finally work out what to do with his late great aunts home. Turns out the timing is perfect not only because Michelle is also at his great aunts home cataloging the house contents but also hiding out so Nolan not only has the chance to see if they could be more than a one night thing but also help protect her and show he cares. There is a good mix of attraction, suspense along with mystery and some action which has you turning the page to see if the bad guy gets caught and Nolan and Michelle with be honest with each other not only about how they feel but also what happen to Michelle after their first hook up so they can have the happy ever after they deserve!!

A good read in the Guardian agency series in the Brotherhood protectors world.Nolan Swann and Michelle are long time friends who had a one night stand a year ago and didn’t see each other since. Now Nolan is back to investigate someone for his agency and he discovers Michelle hiding in the house of his late aunt.
Michelle had a burglar in her antique store and received threats and was afraid to stay in her own house. Now Nolan is here and immediately sparks fly! And the danger continues...
I really liked this book, a good romantic suspense and a good balance between romance and suspense. It is a great addition to the series!

This is Nolan Swann and Michelle's story. They have known each other for a long time. Swann comes back to settle his aunt's estate. They both have feelings for each other but don't know if it will work out since they both live different places. Michelle has a secret and doesn't think he'll stay when he finds out. But, a killer is after Michelle when he thinks she has something of his. There's suspense, mystery and romance. What's the secret Michelle is keeping from Swann? What is the killer looking for? Riley doesn't disappoint with this book. Great addition to the Guardian Series and the Brotherhood Protectors.

Fabulous book! I could not put this one down once I started make sure you have time to read it. This is another Guardian Agency adventure with the help of Hank Patterson and the Brotherhood Protectors. Lawyer Nolan Swann is off to his hometown of Leavenworth to take care of his recently deceased aunt’s home, reconnect with Michelle his friend that he had a one night stand with and interview a potential employee currently in prison. When he returns she is having trouble from someone looking for an item that they think she obtained from an antique auction and is hiding. Lots of action in this as the case is solved!

A great adventure escape story filled with ardent love budding between two friends.
I enjoyed the tense suspense, the danger of the unknown, the fight for justice, and the challenge to keep Michelle safe from the unhinged and deadly culprit.
The attraction between Noah and Michelle is palpable, I love it when the protagonists don't create unnecessary drama but handle things maturely.
I started this novella at the moment when I needed a distraction to my thoughts and this worked perfectly as I got tangled into the web of danger and desire in the entertaining tale.
Brotherhood Protectors never fail to delight and deliver enthralling stories.

Another great story by Regan Black. The plot is filled with mystery, suspense, and romance. Nolan Swann and Michelle Korbel had one night of passion. A year later, they are reconnected. Swann is a lawyer, but he will do anything to protect the woman he loves. Michelle has a secret that could destroy their budding love. A killer wants something and threatens Michelle. The characters are well-developed and believable. I highly recommend this book and the Guardian Agency/Brotherhood Protectors series.

In this edition of the series, we get to know one is the lawyers behind the scenes; Swann. Traveling back to his hometown of Leavenworth for work and family obligations he finds himself protecting a woman who is a family friend and the one night stand that he wanted to call but never did. This story is full of adventure, romance and intrigue. Also, it leaves the reader with a few unanswered questions. I’m not going to give spoilers, but I am looking forward to the next installment of the series to see what happens in Leavenworth, Kansas!

Swann is another wonderful romantic suspense book in the Guardian Agency series! Author Regan Black writes a smooth flowing storyline and wonderful characters! This is the 8th book in the series and they can all be read as standalones, but they work better in the series because some of the characters and storyline continue throughout the whole Brotherhood Protectors Novels. Nolan gets his chance in this episode with Michelle, someone he hooked up with previously, and has never forgotten since. There is a little bit of everything in this book! I really enjoyed this one! 4.5 stars.

As usual this book didn't disappoint. There is plenty of action and danger. Swann took the job to check out the story about a young man who is at leavenworth, to find out the truth about his supposed crime and to get him on board with their group. When he went back to his hometown he knew he might run into his one night stand. I would have liked to see the outcome of Brady (military) who is the one in prison, so hopefully there will be more about him in another book. HEA.

Interesting story line
Characters were good, loved that Hank was a part of the story. What i didnt like was the parts left hanging open. 1) the necklace- the whole story revolves around the necklace - so where is it? Who has it? 2) Brady ? Did he get out of prison? Did he go to work for Swann? Was the guilty person found who set Brady up? You cant use the two topics above for the whole story line and then end the book with both left hanging......

Another great book in this outstanding series!!!

A fantastic story and series
One of the things that I love about this series is that it's not only about the Protectors, but includes the behind the scenes characters as well. Don't be fooled though! Just because they're not on the front lines all of the time doesn't mean that they won't have their own harrowing tales before getting their own HEA's.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Regrets?
Nolan has few regrets in his life but Michelle is one of them!
It is beautiful to see Nolan and Michelle begin to trust each other, to open up and to fall fast and hard.
We have obviously come across Nolan in previous books but here we get to see a whole new, sexy side to him that will have you swooning as you read! I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
