Benton also created greeting cards and worked in the magazine and publishing industry. In 1998, his SpyDogs characters became an animated series, The Secret Files of the Spy Dogs, that aired on Fox Kids. Licensing his own creations brought them widespread attention on products, such as It's Happy Bunny, The Misters, Just Jimmy and more.
Benton currently lives in Michigan, where he operates out of his own studio.
Catwad is full of ideas, crazy things and dumb things. It's a book with mini Catwad stories. The main characters are Catwad and Blurp they do fun things. Blurp is always happy and loves Catwads ideas, sometimes. Catwad is all dull and boring not in a bad way but he knows his things in real life but not knowing a lot in his own artsy world.
In my opinion, this is the best Catwad book yet. It is full of clever wordplay, twisted ideas, and off-the-wall punchlines that I never saw coming. I really enjoyed this, and I'm glad that I have kept reading this far. Even though this series involves a lot of rude humor, which isn't my preference, this book doesn't rely on burp or fart jokes as its primary source of entertainment, and hits it out of the park with inventive, unexpected ideas. I particularly enjoyed the Rapunzel fairy tale rewrite, and Blurp's experience taking out the trash.
Catwad, Blurmp and Pigmichael returns in this fourth Catwad Book, serving you more funny stories that will make you laugh so loud! From a weird golf game and meeting aliens to a funny fairytale retelling and camping night, this book is definitely sure to be crazy and you will read it again and again!
My friend recommended me this book and it was very hilarious! My favorite is "Knock Knock" where Blurmp was supposed to tell a knock knock joke to Catwad and it goes wrong which I laughed so many times! I really want to get more of these Catwad Books for comedic pleasure.
Yes, I read the three previous Catwads. No, I didn't log them in Goodreads because it felt like cheating. Yes, I'm counting this one because my 2020 challenge is in jeopardy because yes, 2020 is a bit of a dumpster fire.
Grumpy gray cat? Have one. Humor tendencies of a 7-year-old boy? Yep, got that, too.
This graphic novel for early chapter book readers features a grumpy, older cat, Catwad, and his younger, not-too-bright sidekick, Blurmp. In a series of short vignettes, the two have misadventures with with silly outcomes, usually caused by a misunderstanding that children will easily see. The slapstick humor will be a hit with primary grade students.
These guys make me giggle so much. Read the humorous and fantastical everyday interactions between grouchy Catwad and his silly and dumb friend Blurmp. Most of the comics have a surprising ending and slightly twisted humor. Some of the cartoon reality reminds me of Looney tunes for a new generation.
I've never read a Catwad book before today. It was very entertaining and funny. Great stressbuster read for adults and kids alike. Two highlights for me: The "alternative" version of Rapunzel was *Hilarious* and I can definitely say I will never think of "taking out the trash" the same again!
3.5/5 stars. This one had a few good spreads but none that made me laugh as hard as book 1. My 10 and 8 year old completely crack up though so I still think this series is a great one to give kids who like DogMan.
