It's Work (Undeniable #2) is the first book I remember reading written by Nikki Prince. So of course, I have not read the first book in the series. I do not think it’s necessary since I had no confusion or characters that I needed a backstory. It is a contemporary (university professor) romance of friends to lovers with benefits and the problems that go with that arrangement.

The story has a cosmopolitan urban feel to it with characters that are cool and amusing. The title is right on spot with Darian Tisdale being work as he changes his mind on what he wants with Âine Reid. Add to that his arrogance he really is a work in progress. There are some big disagreements, some silly ones, and some challenges. Steamy scenes and language to go along with the romance and drama in this story.

It's Work is an entertaining story that would appeal to the twenty-thirty crowd of romance readers. It has the up-to-date plot and characters which will be just the kind of romance that many will want to read.

An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

it's Work by author Nikki Prince is the second book in the Undeniable series but one that can definitely be read as a standalone. This is a friend to lovers' book with let's meet a stalker on the way book. One of the things I really enjoyed about this book was the fact that our author shared so much about the two main characters' professions, which is English lit. Aine and Darian are part of a group of friends that have been hanging together since college. They all have coupled up to the degree they made a "friends with benefits" pact. Yep Aine and Darian have chemistry off the charts and so much so that everyone else sees what is in front of them but these two are not seeing it yet. Aine wants one thing and she things Dar wants something else. Will they ever get on the same page? I can't wait for the next book in this series

Darian and Aine went to college together. They are good friends who spent many a late night studying together. Never have they crossed the line. That is until their friend groups decides to pair up and have a friends with benefits relationship. Aine and Darian are paired up. Once night with him will never be enough. She knows he is a player. She knows he would never want a relationship with her. What is a girl to do when her hot crush offers a friends with benefits arrangement? She's got this. She can have a good time and keep her heart out of it. Darian wants to date Aine. He has never given her a reason to take him seriously. Can he convince her to take a chance on them? Good read.

This was a friend to lover’s romance book. This is the second book in this series and it about Aine and Darian. They have been friends since college, and they are both professors and they work together. They had great chemistry together, but their problem was that they both wanted different things in life. Will they be able to work through their issues? Pick up this book and find out. You will not be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received an ARC from Tule Publishing prior to release for review.

I had never read this author before and I really enjoyed this story about two college friends, Darien and Âine who now work together at a college and are very close friends and enjoy a benefits realationship but also whose future doesn't line up with each other so a long term relationship doesn't work.

It also has some jealousy as Âine is dating thru an app that her dad signed her up for and she also has a stalker that Darien wants to protect her from.

Friends to lovers with a few bumps to their HEA. Aine and Darian have been friends since college and now are coworkers, they don't want to ruin that feindship but can't deny the sizzling chemistry that they share, so they decided on friends with benefits. Little did each know, they both wanted more.

This is a fast paced story full of love and friendships. There is explicit sex scenes. Every relationship takes work. This is the second story in the series, I now need to go back and read the first story, but I was not lost.

An Exciting Friends to Lovers Story

What happens when two people are interested in each other but are afraid to let it be known? Aine and Darian have been friends since college and they work together. It wasn’t until a pact, made between friends, that landed them in bed together. Friends with benefits is not a real relationship, but with a little help from their friends, they just might be able to turn it into a forever relationship.

I enjoyed the first book in this series, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. It is the perfect complement to It’s Complicated. The author tells the story with so much detail that you feel you really know the characters personally. The story has just the right amount of romance and drama to keep it interesting from the beginning to the end.

This is an interesting take on the friends with benefits notion but not one with an easy course. She wants a real relationship and knows he does not…unless he does, too.

I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in the Undeniable series. This series is about 6 friends from college, 3 girls and 3 guys about 8 years after graduation. Each of the women is good friends and is specially close to one of the guys. This book is the story of Âine and Darian, both college professors that work together. In the first book, Keiko suggests to the other women that each embarks on a friends with benefits relationship with their special guy in the group. She and her guy Ashton went from the benefits to admitting they loved the other and becoming engaged. It ended up with all 3 the guys knowing about the idea.

Âine wants to be married and have children and she knows Darien has always shied away from such a relationship. She has strong feelings for him but is initially afraid to embark on a sexual relationship as she fears it will ruin their friendship that has endured over the years. She agrees to the friends with benefits. At the same time, her dad signs her up with a dating app and she decides to go through with it as she still believes she will have to move beyond Darien for marriage.

Both Âine and Darien are interviewing for the same tenured position along with 2 other professors they are friend with. They spend time together in and out of bed. Âine also agrees to date Shelby from the dating app as he indicated he wants marriage and children. They go on the date and Âine has strange vibes but ignores it. While she is out the next night with the 3 others competing for the promotion, her tires have the air let out of them. She ends up going home with Darian and they are enjoying their sexual relationship. She later agrees to go on another date with Shelby and he acts very strange and comes on very strong even when she tells him she isn’t going to sleep with him. She decides she will report him to the app and to his college department so other women don’t have the same experience with him. It is apparent when she later sees Shelby that he is stalking her.

The chemistry that Darian and Âine share is both confusing to them and also makes them happy to be with each other. The problem they had was in part due to not communicating and letting the other know how they really felt. Âine’s friends Keiko and Emmerson were always available to help talk her through her feelings and help her know what to do. The guys, Ashton and Royce also had his back and helped him when he was confused.

I loved this book and book one and look forward to reading Emmerson and Royce’s story. Not only does Nikki write a very steamy romance, but she also includes a lot of suspense and surprises for the reader.

This contemporary friends-to-lovers second chance workplace unrequited romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building and characters that are resilient, a long-term commitment-phobic hero, captivating, and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with it's work, forced proximity, professional rivalry, heart on the line, emotional risk, sizzling chemistry, heartfelt emotions/emotional depth, chaos/drama, adventure, action, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with it's work and a friends-to-lovers second chance romance that is sure to transport readers into a world that is wildly emotional and unforgettable.

This is a contemporary love story, very on part with today's dating/friendship climate.

Aine and Darian are part of a pact of friends -since college - who decided on a friends with benefits situation. These two were the obvious pair, and enjoyed the relationship until she wanted more than just the arrangement, and he decided it was not for him, so broke her heart. Time passed, and now they are both professors, up for the same position, but it is Darian who wants to explore a relationship, but the damage he created in the past will make this hard. Now it is time for him to put in the work and see if she is open to finding a future with him?

A steamy and enteraining read about professionals who need to decide between business and pleasure and realign their priorities.

Áine and Darian's story. These two have been circling around each other since college. Not realizing that they were technically in a relationship. They both liked each other, but rather than communicating that to one another, they kept assuming they knew what the other wanted or rather didn't want. Even their friends tried to get them on track. Finally, after realizing that they actually might lose one another, they got it together and got their happy ending.

This was...okay? I liked the friends to lovers aspect, and loved that they were English professors, but the writing felt unpolished (dialog was especially clunky) and there was a lot more telling than showing. Their relationship conflicts were a bit silly and could have been easily resolved with a decent conversation or two. It's the second in the series; the jury's still out on whether I'd pick up the first or the next. I mean...maybe?

Good story about love and taking chances on love. Darian and Aine have known each other forever and went to college together. They have always been good friends but Aine always wanted more but never crossed the line. Now things are different, a friends group has decided they will have a friends with benefits night and Aine got paired with Darien. She knows it's just a one night stand and nothing can come of it but Darien may be having second thoughts about the just friends part now.
