About the author

Rebekah Dodson is a prolific word weaver of romance, fantasy, and science fiction novels. Her works include the series Postcards from Paris, The Surrogate, The Curse of Lanval series, several stand alone novels, and her upcoming YA novel, Clock City. She has been writing her whole life, with her first published work of historical fiction with 4H Clubs of America at the age of 12, and poetry at the age of 16 with the National Poetry Society. With an extensive academic background including education, history, psychology and English, she currently works as a college professor by day and a writer by night.

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.
Recommend reading.

This was one of those stories that you became so engrossed in you couldn't put it down. Jessie and Maggie met because of a train incident. They got married and had a daughter. Uh-oh...Jesse works for the CIA who think they own him lock, stock, and barrel. Maggie works for the CDC. Two interlocking plotlines here; one of which reminds me of our current pandemic! There are several turns and u-turns and really bad people doing things for a not very good reason. This was a terrific, action-paced novel that had you guessing until the end. Terrific read!

Assuming this was inspired by the current Covid-19 situation since it uses all the current terminology we have all been so accustomed to hearing these days, pandemic, social distancing, lockdowns, otherwise a very eerie prophecy. Readers are taken along for the ride in a war against a pandemic, against time, and the unknown where you really do not know who you can trust and how the tables can turn so quickly where the one you are trusted to protect, protects you in return.

This is the first for me from this author. From beginning to the end you are left wondering what was going to happen next. Although I had not read the first book introducing main characters you could follow the story. However I will go get the first book.

amazing story line containing love, death, pandemics and deceit of friendships, i now want to read the first book to see how this couple started out. can't wait to read more of this authors work

The story itself was amazing but reading a book involving a disease similar to COVID freaked me out a bit so I had to dnf.
