Boring

The start of this story isn't very strong. I think if the author had started out with Edme running for her life and giving us a bit of back story or even started out when the lairds talk about marriage for Beathan & Edme would have been a better start. I couldn't continue to read due to lack of interest in the characters.

ONE RIVETING ADVENTURE!!!
Fast fury! Shona blew me away, leaving me speechless, laying out this uniquely composed crème de la crème, with one compelling storyline and gripping plot, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Quirky mishaps and surprising happenstance, showcase the harrowing trials and challenging tribulations, stumbling through the crazy twists and wicked turns, testing them in ways they never saw coming. Twixt, twined and tightly coiled, displaying the explosive ups and agonizing downs, grounding in it's simplicity and awe inspiring in it's depth. Bearing the burdens and towing the line, imparting this enchanting, pulse racing, heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, page flipping, block busting bombshell, blasting this baby to a whole new realm. Shattering the boundaries and dispensing the limits, laying out strong suits and short straws being weighed and balanced, bouncing this gem into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, slamming it into overdrive, launching it into a frenzy with a mind-blowing culmination. The attraction and chemistry sizzles through the pages, alluring and mesmerizing, exposing a deep connection and amplifying affection, binding them to one another perfectly. The characters are authentic, genuine and realistic with depth and qualities that blend into amazing personalities. The scenes are so colorfully detailed and descriptive it paints a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Remarkable job Shona thanks for sharing this little fella with us.

A Outstanding story! Gripping and Suspenseful, Highlander's False Indentity will keep you spellbound from the moment you begin the journey with Beathan and Edme until the very end!  Sheba Thompson has outdone herself with this novel, she has given readers a book that is well-written, the plot brims with tension-building twist, secrets, witty banter, characters are well thought out and each one comes across clearly as their individual personalities become more than just part of the tale and with setting descriptions and action sequences are wonderfully vivid which brings this read together perfectly. Edme, a spitfire and a minx, is running for her life! She was accused of witchcraft by her brother but she also carries a secret close to her heart. Beathan, a very brawny highlander has just been attacked but little does he relizes that his heart will be stolen instead of his coin. As Beathan vows to protect Edme soon find their their love for one another in this heartfelt, heart stopping story that unfolds beautifully with drama, steamy passion, uncertainties, deciet, trials and tribulations, and a evil villian who spins a web of betrayal, and while the suspense builds and tensions escalate that makes this one outstanding story!

Another amazing tale by Shona! I absolutely loved it! The tale of Edme and Beathan is filled with danger, lies, love and loss. With her father dead and her brother plotting with the English, Edme is running for her life. Her brother has labeled her a witch but she has seen the proof of her brother's misdeeds. She meets Beathan on the road when she tries to rob him and it's starts the two on a journey that will take them through quite an adventure. On their travels, they find the English are coming to Duncan castle and her brother Dughall is leading them. He arrives and the two must fight not only her brother but the English troops as well. Reinforcements arrive just in time and when her brother and the English are dealt with, Edme and Beathan can now start down the path to their happily ever after.

I am volunteering my honest review for an ARC copy of this book.

I'm not sure this is the right name for this story. It's about two childhood friends from different clans. One has runaway from her brother, she is wanted for witchcraft. The other must prove he is ready to become laird. Together, they must fight the secret invasion by the English. This story is well-written, but the action scene at the climax is a bit confusing. I had a hard time keeping up with what was going on, because the fight scene tried to contain both our hero's thoughts of the battle at the same time.
