I don't normally jump into a new-to-me series at book 6, but this series sounded fun and entertaining. 2020 being what it has been (horrible), I'm taking every opportunity to read more books that include humor, a bit of magic and some FUN. When I won an early copy from the author, I decided to give this series a try. I have read Leanne Leeds' writing before -- her Magical Midway series is wonderful!
Mystic End has a lot going on for a small town! Witches, ghosts, vampires, magical mafia ties....what a cool place to spend the holidays! But Fortuna Delphi gets a bit worried when everyone in town seems happy....too happy. Does it have something to do with the new coffee shop in town?
Fun read! I like the characters, the setting, the magic and the holiday theme of this newest book in the Mystic's End series. This series would be best read in order, however, to get the full backstory on Fortuna, the other characters, and prior plots. There were no huge spoilers for previous books, but a few things were hard to follow without reading the series from the start. I solved the issue and now have Book 1 queued up on my Kindle to start reading this series from the start!
This series is just what I need to bring a smile to my reading time amid the Mess of 2020. Humor, magic, light supernatural mystery and entertainment! And any cozy mystery with cool words like Boozehounds in the title is going to get read by me 100% of the time! It was just as fun to read as the title hinted, too!

When happiness infects nearly everyone..
.. on Thanksgiving weekend Fortuna and her friends are desperately trying to find the cause as Pepper is bouncing around like an overexcited toddler on speed. The townsfolk are clamouring over each other to buy everything that is not actually tied down. As they try to trace the cause by going back through Pepper's footsteps they look at the new coffeehouse in town with the most unlikely ally Chief Clutterbuck..
Pepper's irrational behaviour opens up a bigger problem when she plays with one of the witch bottles.. Mary Wilcox is free and she's a bitter, angry ghost, nothing like her mother Miss Bessie, will she help or hinder their progress to sort out the worsening situation outside?
With Martin dealing with a visit from his father and Jeeves trying to protect Fortuna from being noticed by Marty senior the vampire's working overtime. But can he truly help them when he's tied by a bond that stops him from revealing the truth? And when Pepper's health takes a turn will Jeeves help save her and the rest of the people who have been infected?

way too happy and behaving strangely. Even the curmudgeons!!! Even Pepper?!
Fortuna and gang need to figure it out. Complication? Martin's father, the mafia Don, has come to town and brought his 'boss's with him. Is it really to visit his son or is there more to the visit that?
Surprises from Pepper, Jeeves, Miss Bessie and more. Creates lots of rabbit trails to follow. Warning, this story left me with more questions and want next book now to try to get answers.
The puzzle gets bigger and bigger. If you like having the puzzle pieces and trying to figure out how they go together, then this is the book for you.
Fun, easy to read and could be read as a standalone. You will probably want to go back and pick up the back clues. Enjoy!!

Martin Sr shows up in town and everyone has suddenly taken their happy pills. Is there a connection? What is Martin Sr really up to? Fortuna will have to team up with Chief Clutterbuck to try to figure out what has gotten into most of the inhabitants of Mystic's End including her best friend Pepper. Can they figure it out before it's too late? Another great addition to the series! Love all the characters, ghost, mystic, vampire and human alike.

Paranormal Confrontations in Mystic's End
This episode brings out all sorts of new layers of communication in Mystic's End. We have a few new characters and lots of new connections. Something is causing the tourists to spend money like a game show. There is a new paranormal in town and things are getting crazy. I love this series and can't wait for the next episode. Fun read
Ms. Leeds Writes with wit and humor. I love her characters. From vampires and witches Interspersed with a brassy journalist and mafia dons together with inventive plot lines, I could not put her books down. I have read the sex novels in a row in the last few days because I was not able to put them down. I am awaiting books 7 and 8. A lighthearted and delightful series.

Terrific series' storyline
This is such a great read with characters I've grown attached to. Fortuna isn't one of those perfect cozy characters that can do no wrong but has layers with imperfections as her personality matures. She's an interesting and complex heroine especially in the cozy genre. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Another great book in this magical series!
A fun read, with a lot of magic and mayhem! I love the way that Leeds’ books grab me, so that I can really escape into the story. Clever mystery, well-written, fun!

Good story
Fortuna is learning to be a.witch and.finding out about her past. She is learning more about the paranormal world this separate from the circus she came from. This is a fun storyline and I can't wait for the next installment!

Keeps getting better!
Fortuna is celebrating the holidays with her makeshift family that she’s grown close to since moving. Weird things start happening though and it’s up to her and her friends, to figure out what is harming the citizens.

Too happy
The town has gone nuts. Everyone is deliriously happy, even the most curmudgeonly person in town. Fortuna must figure out what is going on to return the towns people and tourists to normal. Could it be due to the crime boss currently visiting Mystic's End? If so, why?

I am hooked on this series, I liked the circus books but am really excited when a new mystic end comes out. Definitely worth reading the series.

Oh my gosh, what a great continuation of this series! Fortuna definitely has her hands full in this one. So much mystery to solve, and to get her biggest rival on board to solve it! Absolutely a fantastic read.
