Herald Thor vs. Galactus...Black Winter whispers how everything will meet 'his' end...thunder echoes across the multiverse! Donny Cates has brought back the grander that was the Lee/Kirby mythos; the cosmic vastness that only Dr. Strange could match! The art of Nic Klein is vibrant and explosive; this team has really done a fine job on the title.

What a mind-blowing ending. The cover text says it all, Thor is no one's herald, and the first arc of Cates' arc ends as explosively as the first issue did.

Man everybody is going bonkers over this run. I have combed this book over with a fine tooth comb trying to find what it is that’s making everyone love this. I got nothing. It’s average. Reading from issue 1 up to this point, it doesn’t even feel like a Thor comic. I don’t know. Still love his Venom run but this one is a little lower caliber.

Even going into this issue having known the outcome...every page was still an absolute treat. Love how this arc wrapped up and I can’t wait for more.

This series has been kinda fun, but admittedly wasn’t a fan of the final reveal at the end. To each their own I guess.

We see Silver Surfer pay Thor a visit after everything went down with Galactus and the Black Winter. He asks what exactly happened, and we’re taken back to witness it

Black Winter (in the form of Thor) has come to collect Galactus, as he was the original herald of the BW. Thor takes all of Galactus’ power and essentially beats him down. BW wants to take Galactus with him, but Thor objects, and turns Galactus into a bomb.

The BW shows how it ends for Thor, and MAN we see a great panel of Thanos wielding Mjolnir with the infinity gems, alongside evil/dead versions of the heroes we love.

When SS asks Thor what he saw, he says, “Darkness, and nothing more.”
