Maybe these books were written by bots or dictation never corrected but the spelling and grammar are pitiful, often getting in the way of the plot. The last book is ridiculously plotted. All the sex is missionary and unimaginative. If you can get past these faults, the books provide a few hours of escapism reading.
Hard to believe the last story actually made it into print. Billionaire Doctor must be the most tedious and pathetic read I have had the displeasure to literally plough my way through. The doctor comes across as a really weak and cowardly individual. I really cannot see such a person being strong and confident enough to build a multi billionaire pharmaceutical company when he can't even stand up for himself in almost any personal situation. I buy a number of these box sets and do not expect the contents to be an equivalent of say Jane Eyre or James Patterson or even Georgette Heyer, if you want to compare a romantic novelist. It took enormous effort to get through this set. Why did I bother you may well ask. The answer of course is that once I had started reading I had to finish in order to be able to give a review. And finally just to make the whole experience even worse, Ms Brown certainly likes to regularly use very bad swear words, such as c..., f... occasionally I can accept the f word - very occasionally - but the c word, no thank you. So very disappointed.
The 2nd & 3rd stories seemed really rushed and overwhelmed the book. The dirty talk in the 2nd book was actually rather crude but the storyline had promise. The crude talk was not necessary at all. The 3rd story was just like a tv drama. Unreal concept with her hospital stay for her sprained wrist. Unrealistic that a doctor wouldn’t already know that it wasn’t murder of the dad when he had a brain tumor and didn’t make it from the operation.... it had been 7 years and he remarked that the kids were so young except her brother is married.... he couldn’t have been that young that he didn’t remember the doctor. And the crazy ex who wouldn’t take no for an answer could have easily been cut off with a house key and phone number change plus a restraining order. The hospital would not have been calling him back if they even had a suspicion that anything was off about the surgery that Rae’s dad had died during. Not very realistic and it made it difficult to stick with it. These two stories were so disappointing, I have forgotten the first story and it was pretty good... from what I remember.
Three stories which although the common theme is billionaires are standalone novels dealing with a long-term friendship tested after she did the right thing but for which he you to jail, a pushy mother and sleazy boss whilst physical attraction at first sight and an ill considered bet weaves through s newly growing relationship and a doctor haunted by what he feels was s death at his hands. Three great stories which unfortunately are riddled with errors which should have been picked up and corrected during the proof reading. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories but the publishers should be ashamed of themselves for not doing their job properly and correcting too numerous errors to mention which appear on every page. If you can get over the errors you'll enjoy this read. The five stars are for the author and content but the publishers get zero for quality
A great box set that includes all three books in the My Dearest Billionaire series. Included are Billionaire Criminal, Billionaire’s Secret Bet and Billionaire Doctor. They are all original books that haven't been released before. They are all full length standalone romances with hot billionaire alpha males. The characters are interesting, likable and fun to get to know. All have happy endings. A great box set with hours of reading pleasure for the hopeless romantic. I read an arc copy via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to review.
Books 1 & 2 were good stories but they had a lot of mistakes. Incorrect names, words, etc. Sentences that didn't make sense. In book 2 during the trip Steele took Quinn some paragraphs said it was a week, others it was a weekend. Now book 3, it could have been a great story but it turned out to be ridiculous. A lengthy stay in the hospital for a sprained wrist???!!! Really!!! Then the doctor brings her to his house to make sure she was doing good enough to be discharged from the hospital???? Please!!!!
I received this ARC from Bad Boy Updates. Great set!!! Billionaire Criminal is not what I expected, in a good way! Carter is a successful broker, who thankfully also comes from money. He is overheard by his friend and employee, Stella, talking about an inside trade. Fast forward 7 years and he is freshly out of prison and runs into Stella. Their romance beings with Stella keeping a secret from Carter that could ruin everything. I love the drama, secrets, passion and the whole story line!
This book was so different from the first two books in the box set, almost like it was written by someone else! The storyline was weak, the premise of a month in the hospital for a “sprained” wrist was hard to fathom! And the need for better proofreading for grammatical errors and misspelling... well her team did her a disservice! The HEA was there... happy for that!
1st story about Carter and Stella was okay. Wouldn’t mind reading it again. 2nd Story about Steele and I can’t even remember the woman’s name was again okay. 3rd story about Luther and Rae was terrible. Filled with grammatical mistakes. Words strung together. No spaces. Missing words. Tough to read.
This collection of stories is based on billionaires and on finding their happy ever afters. Love doesn't always come easy, sometimes it can be at the wrong time or in the wrong place, but it is always worth fighting for. I really enjoyed their stories and I can't wait to read more.
I’m not a fan of reading 3 books in one even if the stories are different. I only gave this 3 stars cause I had mixed opinions on each story...story 1 was good, story 2 & 3 took a lot for me to get into. Which doesn’t mean I didn’t like them so judge for yourself please
First two books were interesting but the last book drove me crazy trying to read through all the mistakes running in it. From words running together without spaces to punctuation errors. Someone needed to edit it before releasing it .
Great story line. HOWEVER, you REALLY need grammar check and spell check. You also either let your nationality be out there all the way or not at all. Continue to grow your writing skills more and your books will be a much better read.
I have read this author before and then I liked her books, but this was not at all what I expected. Bad sentence structure, bad grammar and misspelled words. Plus some of the work was kinda juvenile. Very disappointing.
Of your looking for a box set, this is it. All three stories are entertaining with lots of sexiness. Plenty of steamy scenes and a bit of drama in each storyline.
Mia is one of my favorite new authors. This will not be the last book I read of hers. 😘
While the first 2 stories were good the third I found to be quite boring the characters somewhat unbelievable and lots of editing mistakes in the story, words blended together
