As we know it's surprising the story with the song, it's totally made me cry for a day. Tge comic also accurate in this novel, so if you've already read the manga tou should read the other book. Aku no Musume series are Cloture of Yellow, Wiegenlied of Green, Praeludium of Red, and Praefacio of Blue. Happy reading!

This book can be read in two ways: with regards of Evillious Chronicles, songs and whatnot, regarding mothy's story, and it can be read as a standalone fantasy book covering the history of Kingdom of Lucifenia.
If you read the book the first way you probably won't be disappointed. Novel patches a lot of songs' plot holes and adds depth and details to this very well known world.
However, if you seek just some light fantasy I wouldn't recommend this novel. I just think that mothy isn't good novelist. Like probably more than a half of fandom I read English translation available online and was disappointed by the lack of skill and novelty that went into this book. Friend of mine told me that it can be due to cultural clash and light novels in japan usually are written in style that can be regarded as "not good" by people in the west. Whatever the case I just think that mothy should write more songs, because this is clearly something he is better at. (Plot is neat tho. I just thing it's better to get to know it through songs.)
Soooo... I would recommend this book only to people who are willing to suffer through mothy's terrible writing or those who like the songs and want to know more details to the story. (And the pictures are nice, too.)

Set in the fantasy kingdom of Lucifen, also called the Country of Yellow, a tyrannical Queen rules with absolute power. Her servant, Allen, is willing to do anything she bids, even if it means to kill ones he love; even if it means to kill himself. A tragic story is then set in play as Riliane orders destruction and deaths that will eventually be her undoing.
To be completely frank - I expected more. Perhaps lost in translation, but there was nothing interesting or compelling in the way the story was written. I had only kept going because the plot was interesting and it gave me a better understanding of the Evillious Chronicles. I think Akuno-P should concentrate on composing more songs that will further the plot of the Evillious Chrnicles along rather than trying to earn more money by hanging over an almost, if not already, completed series.

すごく時間がかかりましたが、ついに「悪ノ娘」の小説を読みました！
ビデオを見ると、小説の内容がすべて分かると思います。小説には、もうちょっと細かいところが書かれていますが、話の流れは同じです。
やっぱり、私は「悪ノ娘」リリアヌと「悪ノ召使」アレンが一番好きな人物です。リリアヌは若い時女王になったから、何が正しいのかが分からないのでしょう？そして、アレンはリリアヌを守るために、自己を犠牲にしました。本当に感動しました！
一方、私はレジスタンスの人々が嫌いでした。皆は良い目的を持っているため、レジスタンスを参加したそうですが、実は、それはエゴだと思います。例えば、マロンの王様カイルは自分の行為（リリアヌとの結婚の約束を破ることです）で好きな人を亡くしてしまいました。しかし、すべてリリアヌ（十四歳の子！）のせいになってしまいました。
確かに、リリアヌは悪いことをやりましたが、正しいことを教えてあげる人はいないみたい。
この本では、善良な人物はいません。面白かったですが、暗い本でした。

He aquí mi maratón de reviews sobre estas novelas ligeras de las que he querido hablar desde hace mucho tiempo.
Justo ahora me pondré en modo fangirl y derramaré toda mi emoción y amor respecto a una de mis historias favoritas de todos los tiempos. Habrá muchos spoilers y será más que todo mi interpretación personal de todos los acontecimientos.
Para empezar, tengo que decir que si hay algo que soy incapaz de ver objetivamente es todo lo que tiene que ver con Evillious. Y reconozco que este libro puede resultar el más flojo para la mayoría al ser la versión renovada de la primera novela que mothy escribió (no estoy segura de si es verdad, pero es lo que he escuchado). Sin embargo le tengo un cariño muy especial a Servant of Evil, ya que fue LA canción que me hizo empezar a escuchar vocaloid (y ni siquiera fue la versión en japonés, sino un cover de Lizz Robinet que recomiendo mucho). Ah… Dulces días en los que no tenía idea de qué iba la historia y tampoco sabía que era parte de algo mucho más grande –algo que hasta el día de hoy sigo intentando entender-, obviamente estas cuatro novelas cubren solamente la saga del mal y solo en eso me voy a centrar (aunque puede que termine haciendo muchas referencias como en la novela).
La historia está contada desde el punto de vista de Allen y Germaine (también creo que hubo un POV de Leonheart); ambos proveen dos puntos de vista del conflicto central de la trama: el inicio de la revolución para derrocar a la tiránica princesa Rilliane, “La hija del mal” y quien fue poseída por el demonio de la soberbia. Con esta novela se profundiza sobre los acontecimientos narrados en sus respectivas canciones, aclarando muchas de las interpretaciones que se les puede dar a la letra (de ahí a que haya tanta confusión sobre si Michaela era una princesa –no lo es- o si en verdad fue Allen quien la asesinó -tampoco fue él-).
Primero empezaré con los protagonistas (aunque debo admitir que hasta los más secundarios tienen tanta historia detrás que me es imposible no amarlos a todos). Allen es un personaje muy fácil de querer u odiar (mothy lo consiente mucho XD), pero tocando su papel en la trama considero que el amor que siente por su hermana es la característica que más lo define y el cómo está dispuesto a hacer todo tan solo para verla feliz, ya desde la canción se me aprieta el corazón por su sacrificio y lealtad. Me gusta que aquí se profundice sobre su relación con su familia adoptiva (Leonheart y Germaine) y que se vean las consecuencias del camino que decidió elegir para proteger a su hermana. Con Allen vemos el lado de Rilliane y cómo sus actos cada vez más egoístas logran que ese “destino fatal” se ponga en marcha; queda muy claro que lo que ella hace no está bien, pero aun así el deseo de protegerla sigue estando ahí.
Hablando sobre Germaine, estas novelas me hicieron amarla demasiado. Es tan despreocupada y divertida, pero la evolución que tiene es increíble. Con Germaine vemos el lado del pueblo, cómo las acciones injustas de la princesa empiezan a cultivar el resentimiento de todos. Pero fue la muerte de su padre la que hizo que todo se pusiera en movimiento. Germaine se convierte en el símbolo de la revolución sin pretenderlo realmente porque su motivación es una sola: vengarse. La reflexión sobre la venganza con Germaine es maravillosa, cómo incluso después de alcanzar su objetivo se da cuenta que haber influenciado a tanta gente siendo plenamente consciente que sus motivos no eran humildes no la hace sentir satisfecha. Me llena de tristeza su último encuentro con Allen, especialmente porque en este libro se siente un poco más su relación de hermanos. El resultado final de la revolución, junto a la última conversación con su hermano, la hacen perder el rumbo por un tiempo, pero eso se ve más adelante.
Ahora sobre Riliane. Ella es bastante desesperante por ser una mocosa caprichosa y aunque se entiende su comportamiento debido a su corta edad y crianza, realmente no pueden culpar a los demás por querer derrocarla y verla muerta. Incluso se podría argumentar que el demonio de la soberbia la hizo actuar de esa manera (más bien creo que potenció ese mal carácter que ya tenía y la hizo más inestable), pero cuando se trata de los pecadores creo que a estas alturas NADA es una justificación y aun así es posible encariñarse con ellos. Rilliane vio el error de su actitud y experimentó en carne propia el dolor de perder a la persona que más la amó en su vida. Leer la despedida de Rilliane y Allen me partió el corazón, ¡Hasta con la canción me dan ganas de llorar! En el siguiente libro se le da un cierre para su redención y también hay lágrimas garantizadas con Regret Message. Creo que la única razón por la que no puedo detestar a Rilliane es porque sé que ella solo es una parte en el plan de la villana más hija de p*** de toda la saga (hablaré sobre eso en la última novela).
Otros personajes secundarios como Kyle, Michaela, Elluka (Elluka es genial, pero ni siquiera con estas novelas podremos terminar de conocerla. Una lástima), Gumillia y compañía tienen un poco más de relevancia en los siguientes libros. Aquí está todo muy limitado. Sin embargo yo los amo a todos sin importar el poco tiempo que aparezcan. Me intriga mucho los pasados de Mariam y Leonheart (sé que tienen sus canciones, pero igual). Chartette es un amor y Keel bastante intrigante (aunque al final termina siendo Yukina la Freezis que se roba la escena). Y mencionando brevemente a Ney, al principio puede parecer un personaje sin importancia aunque sí que da mala espina cuando va por ahí esparciendo cizaña (como con los rumores que alimentó sobre Leonheart), pero ya en el final demuestra lo peligrosa y traicionera que es. Obviamente ella también forma parte del conflicto principal de la saga, pero sus intenciones se ven más a profundidad en las siguientes novelas. Me parece bien que se les dé foco solo a los protagonistas, pero también podría ser algo tedioso recurrir a otras fuentes para que todo encaje o que algunos no tengan suficiente construcción.
Al final considero que no es la novela perfecta, algunos errores que se me ocurren son el insta love de Allen (aunque al menos lo trataron como se debía, algo sin futuro XD) y la vaguedad de algunas subtramas (a veces no se entendía por qué eran importantes), pero a mí me encanta. Me gusta cómo trata el tema de la venganza y cómo empieza desde aquí la pregunta que se irá repitiendo más adelante: ¿Qué es en verdad la maldad? Creo que la charla de Germaine y Leonheart sobre este tema es una de las que más se me quedaron grabadas; cómo él al ser uno de los tres héroes de Lucifenia ha tenido que cometer actos atroces en nombre de su rey. Sus acciones lo hacen un héroe y a la vez un villano dependiendo de por donde se mire. Es una dualidad que me encanta.
Ah… Definitivamente fue una lectura que disfruté mucho, aunque puede que este cegada por mi amor incondicional a todo lo que tenga que ver con este mundo.

"Encantado de conoceros, soy mothy/AkunoP.
Aunque puede que este no sea un primer encuentro para aquellos que estén familiarizados con mi canción, “La Hija del Mal”. Sí, este libro tiene una historia que se derivó de circunstancias ligeramente diferentes a otras novelas ligeras.
“La Hija del Mal” fue originalmente algo subido a un sitio web de vídeos como una canción que utilizaba el software musical “VOCALOID”.
Esta obra utiliza como base la historia contada tanto en la canción “Hija del mal” como en otra pieza, “Sirviente del mal”; además, añade la perspectiva de la “espadachina de armadura roja” que aparece en las canciones."
Estas canciones hicieron parte de mi infancia y me impulsaron en adentrarme en Vocaloid por allá del 2014, escuchar La hija del mal y El sirviente del mal fue... doloroso, por supuesto pero encontrar las canciones y ponerles un orden cronológico a los 10 años fue un reto cuando aún no era "muy popular" la saga de libros y orden de las canciones (tanto como las evillious cronicles y la saga del mal)
En el libro obviamente se habla de la hija del mal y el sirviente del mal, pero nos hace referencia a Twilight Frank (de mis canciones favoritas de la saga) mientras Allen recuerda su niñez con su hermana y le dice el secreto del océano para cumplir deseos. (Secreto que se ganó siendo generoso) "la li lu la la canción que escuche de alguna parte" mientras Allen trata de calmarse... (leer a Allen diciendo que no quería morir me rompió el corazón 💔)
Y al final nos dan una introducción de "mensaje de arrepentimiento" y "la hija de blanco" sin olvidar el "árbol milenario" que es referencia a su nuevo estado de Michaella.
Adoro ese nombre, Michaella.
Amo a Allen y hubiese deseado que hubiese sido feliz con (*tose* con Michaella) pero ya sabemos que no se iba a dar... porque tenia a Clarith
Kyle y Ney son Hermanos, eso sí no lo sabía. Y no sabía que kyle y Gumilla ya sabían la identidad de la "princesa" capturada pero las circunstancias eran muy malas....
No creo leer los libros de esta saga, quizás algún día sí (las dos sagas) pero por el momento no.

the beginning is kinda slow ,,, esp. up to the dinner party. after asan's attack, the pace picks up a bit and allens fight w leonhart was fun to read . but atp i was just focused on how CRAZY ney was being like hello??? what is wrong with this girl?!?!?!??!?!?? anyway after that every single chapter from germaines perspective was snooze central like HONESTLY i DONT give a fuck about your revenge or whatever grow up. every scene with keel in it was cool, and michaela seemed interesting. tbh i was suprised to see that king kyle rejected rilliane IDK WHY. i also found it EXTREMELY amusing that keel called kyles crush "one sided" LMFAOO????? idk what the well business is about like how / when did michaela get there or know about it. clarith sounds interesting in concept but i hate characters that lack confidence. again more germaine scenes like ughh shut up. i liked gast's scenes though idk they were cool, and i was actually sad when he died... the manpower/poltical issues were interesting to read when the revolution was happening. THE PRISON SCENE WAS COOL!! I LIKED IT !!!! as well as the execution scene. what was that melody? the lullaby right ? anyway i cannot describe how PISSED i was when that BITCH ney had her scene at the end like holy fuck? what the hell?!?/!?? also i hate characters that are obsessed with their parents .
additionally, how can it be that (if clarith doesnt) nobody will recognise rilliane in lucifenia?? she's not even in another city. its not like she can go to elphegort bc of the green hair, and she OBVIOUSLY cannot go to marlon?? so unless she plans to cross continents then like ... what... anyway fun ! not actually that bad but IMO!!! doesnt warrant 4 stars... read due to recommendation and will PROBABLY continue reading the series

I was a little disappointed by this book, but not surprised. This was Mothy's first book, and while it's not horrible that fact is obvious, especially in regards to the prose. As someone who was already a fan of the series I came to the novels hoping to learn more about the characters' interiorities from a more psychological perspective, but this book focused a lot on the plot, most of which I already knew, as well as name dropping various people and objects. I was really looking forward to reading about Allen and Germaine's perspectives, especially their familial dynamics with their adoptive father, but this is almost entirely omitted from the book. That being said, I did appreciate the little insight the book did provide into Allen's reasons for his actions, and how it painted him as less charitable and intrinsically good and more of a cynic motivated by his own jaded view of the adults around him. The best scenes were definitely his confrontation with Germaine prior to his death, for these reasons.

Okay bare with me, the book seems like a slog but mothy with all his inexperience with writing still manages to communicate base humanity. The book is an extract of life.
Well not the book exactly, this is supplementary material, if you are not aware the book is part of an expanded universe treaded in different mediums of music and literature and twitter posts. Enriched by a plethora of fanfictions like homestuck (Homestuck being used as a gauge holds less and less every passing year, it fell out of the cultural milleu huh.). The Daughter and Servant of Evil (Songs that the book is based on) are perfect for me, the book itself is 2 star so it averages out. I like that there is books attached to the songs like I am part of a bigger narrative even if the books themselves are very *light*. Do read this book, then read the avant garde purple prose fanfictions on Ao3 it will make your life mean something, will add value to your soul etc.

Lo leí porque desde mi adolescencia e estado tramada con esta saga y no puedo no ser una experta en este tema, asi que las he conseguida y las voy a leer.
El formato es en novela ligera y debo decir que el estilo de escritura se parace a lo que yo adolescente hubiera escrito, pero me agrada, estar dentro de la cabeza de algunos personajes aclara muchas cosas, aun así siento que le falta sustancia pero que bueno que no cambiará nada de su final trágico.

Entah mana yang lebih baik; membaca buku ini terlebih dahulu, dengan resiko kehilangan selera untuk membaca lanjutannya (yang JAUH lebih bagus), atau membaca buku keduanya terlebih dahulu, dan akibatnya patah hati waktu membaca buku ini belakangan.
Pertama-tama, gaya penulisannya SANGAT TIDAK NYAMAN dibaca.
Memang, penggambaran adegan dikemas dengan bagus, tapi karena 'cuma' menyorot sudut pandang Allen dan Germania, terlalu banyak hal yang tidak jelas. Ambil contoh, adegan dimana Allen menemukan jasad Mikaela di sumur kering. Bagian itu hanya berisi TERIAKAN ALLEN. Selesai. Tidak lebih, tidak kurang.
Kalau ada hiburan bagi saya, mungkin ketika bagian-bagian tertentu yang menyorot emosi Allen secara keseluruhan, seperti saat-saat terakhir sebelum eksekusinya berlangsung. Oke. Bagian itu cukup bagus, walaupun belum bisa membuat saya menangis.
Mudah-mudahan buku ketiga kelak tidak separah ini...

I got the nostalgia bug to read this as this story was a favourite of mine when I was younger and I’m so glad the actual story still holds up! It’s as magical as it was when I first discovered it as a little kid and I even picked up on details and dialogue that I missed when I first read this. If you’re a fan of the original song series or are just into fantasy stories that take inspiration from real world events, I’d absolutely recommend this.
The writing however… isn’t my favourite. I’m going to start off by saying that the original novel is in Japanese and I read an unofficial English translation, so that may have altered my reading experience. The wording was strange, there were multiple grammar mistakes, and there were times when I couldn’t follow who was speaking. I felt like this book (or translation) could’ve been written a lot better.
Overall, great story with not so great writing. I can see why I was so into this as a kid.

Although it doesnt make much sense by itself, it is a 10/10 for Evillious Chronicles enjoyers. The story is AMAZING, but very confusing if read on its own.
That aside, I think the writing of characters like Germaine or Allen is wonderful. Or maybe I'm just glazing my favorite vocaloids. Idk.

The light novel is good for background information on the Evillious Chronicles song series, and thus I do find it interesting, but by itself it wouldn't make much sense, and the writing isn't anything amazing. But I did read an English translation on Tumblr which was translated from the Chinese translation of a Japanese light novel, so the writing probably wasn't stellar in the first place, and going through two different languages probably doesn't help much.
