Of course I loved this, guys, I mean it's DADDY KINK.

I'm a picky, picky reader who has read thousands of romances, but for some reason, give me a bratty boy and a stern daddy and I'm like putty.

Cabin Fever had a lot of sex in it, but unlike some readers, I found it to have enough plot to keep me more than satisfied. It was S-T-E-A-M-Y, and readers who like their books with sex, sex, and more sex will be happy.

I'm not a huge fan of suspense, but the suspense was sort of the backdrop for a predicament romance, which is something a I adore. Oh no, I'm trapped in a house with a super hot bodyguard and just these *tiny, tiny* pairs of underwear. Whatever shall I do?? I mean... Yes. Every day, yes.

I loved how utterly submissive Michael ended up being. Vincent couldn't push him far enough, though I liked to see him try. This isn't a high impact play or master/dom-ish BDSM kind of book, which is why I enjoyed it so much.

The perfect length to keep me up all night reading. Cabin Fever was a deliciously kinky, charming erotic romance. It might not suit all readers, but it suited me just fine.

”You missed me, my boy?”
“I was afraid you weren’t coming back.”
“I’ll always come back for you, Mikey.”

i’m running out of horvat books to read and it’s making me sad. reading four books from him back to back has not exhausted me. it has made me crave more. the only book from him i have left that follows a monogamous couple is A Love Song for the Sad Man in the White Coat. the rest are poly/menage and i kinda don’t really wanna read them because i don’t read poly. but we’ll see.

this was 95% sex and 5% plot/drama. it was dirty heaven.

daddy kink is a guilty pleasure of mine. there isn’t anything wrong with it, but it wasn’t something i got interested in reading until the beginning of this year. but it’s kind of like incest, where i can’t really bring myself to read it a lot at once but still look for books every day. with that being said, i don’t like daddy/little, but daddy/boy is nothing but delightful. the kink is pretty light, but not completely mild.

one aspect that i found really interesting is michael’s sex addiction. it was one of his coping mechanisms, and i found it kind of fascinating. i’ve read a little about sex addiction and how people use it as a coping mechanism. some of my friends have also talked about it with me. i could never relate, but still think it’s interesting to think about having your body be used to the benefit of someone else brings you pleasure and release. it wasn’t only how michael was addicted to sex with vincent, it was how desperate he was to please and be used. it can sound sad, but michael was at the point where he felt like his body was the only good thing about him, as if he wasn’t used to being appreciated for who he was and what he did if it didn’t have to do with his body being used for the benefit of someone else. he would unashamedly use his body for vincent’s pleasure before his own, giving him 100% submission if it meant vincent was happy and pleased.

”You like my cock in your throat. My filthy boy. You even creamed your pants like a virgin.”
“Thank you so much, Daddy, for letting me taste you.”
I trembled.

to say that michael was literally a slut for vincent’s monster cock would be an understatement. nothing new about the fact that horvat makes his big men have monster dicks while the smaller men love them. i find it weirdly appealing how enamored someone can be of someone else’s body parts. michael’s brattiness and vincent’s demanding nature fit so well. i love nothing more than a big man with a cold attitude starting to dedicate his life to protecting and taking care of a smaller, younger man. vincent became whipped for michael in every way. he wanted to take care of him, spoil him, and teach him his lessons. they completed each other so well, giving each other different senses of pleasure the other wasn’t too aware of. they both let each other be used for their benefit. i don’t think i had ever read about such a needy, desperate character like michael. he is 24 after all.

With surprising clarity, I knew I wanted to belong to Vincent forever. I wanted to be a hole for his cock for the rest of my life. Just to beg him to fuck me every day and stay in this cabin until the world went under around us. I wouldn’t need anything else. I’d be his slave, his fuckhole, and be grateful.

however, while i thought this was interesting, i kinda wish we got a little, little bit more backstory on why and how vincent is that way. it’s really just a me thing, and not something that many others have to worry about. there is usually a reason “boys” have the issues they have when it comes to their kinks. most of the time they have daddy issues, of course, and suck at having relationships, don’t communicate much, etc. while i’m not saying there needs to be a reason for why michael was the way he was, i can’t help but hope there was something that extended on how and why he came to be who he is—how did being a boy become something in his life he realized he wanted? what is the reason for why he’s so eager to please? even though michael had neglected parents and was spoiled (common for these types of characters), his uncle was clearly someone who loved him and took care of now (however he could have). this isn’t something that affected my overall enjoyment, and i’ll emphasize that’s it’s really more of a me thing because i always like backstories and details on peoples characteristics.

all in all, fourth horvat book in a row and i want more.

🎨 daddy/boy
🎨 age gap (michael is 25, and vincent is in his 40s)
🎨 bodyguard/client
🎨 some co-dependency - michael lives, breathes, and worships vincent
🎨 an eager boy that wants to please, a gruff daddy that praises him
🎨 spanking, choking, edging, pain and punishment, and a lot of rimming
🎨 a little bit of hurt/comfort

He was the one with all the power, the strong, dominant one. I was just a puppet on a string.

I did that. I ruined that pretty pink bud and turned it into a filthy, fucked-out hole.

This book is still such a non-guilty pleasure for me 😊😊

First read: 26 Oct 2020 ⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐

Where has Roe Horvat been all my life? I seriously can't believe that this was my first book by this author. I've seen his books everywhere and I'm truly ashamed, it took me so long to finally read one. Bad Moni!

So, the question is if this book really deserves 5 stars? By my erotica standards, YES, it definitely does. But you need to know that this is 100% pure smut with a minimum plot. I mean, who needs a plot anyway? 💅🏻🤣

“My filthy boy.”
“Yours.”
“Yes, you are.”
“I’m yours, Daddy.”

This book has daddy kink, MM, age gap, light BDSM, spanking, dirty talk galore, one spoiled trust fund baby, and one gruffy dominant bodyguard. It's deliciously filthy and filled with sex to the brim.

“From now on, you are my hole, boy. I decide what goes in you and when.”
My groin tingled again from his words. Damn.
“You’re not allowed to jerk off unless I tell you to. You are not allowed to finger your ass, not even with your pinkie.”
“Yes, Daddy,” I stammered.
“You are my fuckhole, for my cock and my cum only. I own your ass. Understand?”
“Yes, Daddy.”
“You’re not allowed to shower tonight. You’ll sleep on filthy sheets, full of cum, like the horny slut you are.”

Fuck me, I’m in love.

Are you still with me? I told you this is filthy. And I was just in a mood for it 😏😏😏

Also, in addition to this naughty smutty goodness, this story has two very lovable protagonists with an impressive (for erotica book) character development. And that's still not all. It's romantic AF as well 😍😍😍 just look at this...

There was no compromise, no holding back. He craved to be used. By taking what I wanted, I gave him what he needed. I wanted to take care of him, to see the content, sleepy smile on his face after I fucked him, to know I made his monsters go away…

*************************************
“I love you, Vincent,” I said softly. “I’m yours. You need to get well so you can take care of me. You promised, and I promise to take care of you too.”

Now you got an answer to why 5 stars ➡️ Because a book that was mostly about sex, made me fall in love with Michael and Vincent 💟💟

I'm a total Roe Horvat fangirl, and I enjoyed this story for the filthy, sexy, kinky little nugget it was. We're talking Daddy/boy, age gap, bodyguard/client (always a favorite), BDSM elements, spit as lubricant, spanking ... all that and a puppy too.

BUT.

Yes, there's a but.

This book veered too close to the porn without plot category (which is fine but not for me). I like steamy stories, but I like the romance too, and this story was mostly sex and more sex and then some more sex.

There was not a lot of emotional buildup between the MCs, and I didn't feel like they really connected before the HFN arrived.

What I love most about this author is that he doesn't shy away from showing that sex is a big part of romance. The Those Other Books series is all kinds of raunchy but with strong MCs and a big focus on the relationship. I think Cabin Fever lacked that.

But if you're in the mood for something truly naughty and don't want to think too hard, I do recommend this story.

Review
Cabin Fever is a M/M erotica novella with tame BDSM themes and daddy kink. Not my usual read, but I’m glad I picked this up after reading K’s review on this book! Thank you, K, for your beautiful review on this novella.

The first time I saw Vincent Nowak, I was half-hard in my jeans for the entire meeting.

The kid was going to be a spectacular mess to babysit.

Michael Bourgeon is a twenty-four-year-old artist and heir to a rich and well-connected family. When attempts are made to kill Michael, his uncle hires one of the best private security experts in the country, Vincent Nowak, for Michael’s protection. They hit off on a rough ground during their first meeting as Michael is obvious about his attraction, but Vincent is a forty-something-year-old professional and wary of his young client who has a reputation of being a reckless and spoiled rich brat. But Vincent proposes to take away Michael to a secluded cabin for protection while officials and his staff look for the person trying to kill Michael.

It seemed like Vincent wasn’t a fan. Obviously, he’d formed his opinion of me already. I couldn’t really blame him.

Their stay at the cabin is where things pick up and get heated. No matter how cold and stoic Vincent pretends to be, he can’t deny his attraction for the younger client and tries his best to brush off his attraction and the subject of his attraction. When Michael realizes that Vincent reciprocates the lust that is burning him inside, he plans to seduce Vincent. His antics and the way Vincent gives into them was so entertaining and steamy. Their lust soars higher when they realize that their physical desires compliment each other in bed, and it leads to a scorching affair when feelings get involved.

He still wanted me, and he knew very well how much I craved him. I stood no chance against those eyes. He was the one with all the power, the strong, dominant one. I was just a puppet on a string.

Erotica is not something I usually read because I usually prefer my romances to be well-developed and erotica seems to be mostly insta everything. But so glad I decided to give this a try because I loved the relationship between Michael and Vincent. The push and pull between them, mainly because of Vincent’s reservations, was so full of delicious angst and the way that Vincent finally succumbs to Michael’s antics and his desires was so hot that I had to fan myself. Overall, greatly enjoyed this quick and hot read.

We had all the odds against us – our age difference, our background, our habits and interests. We had nothing in common except one remote cabin by a lake, and a memory tainted by blood.

For those readers who prefer their romances on the light side with a fluffy romance, this novella is probably not for you. But for those readers who like characters that enjoy pain with their pleasure and like age-gap romance with daddy kink, give this novella a chance. This novella might exactly be the pick me up story you are looking for because it is a quick read that is full of scorching steaminess between a young rich heir and his older bodyguard while they are stuck at a secluded cabin together!

"He’d given me his body; it was mine to do whatever I pleased. If I wanted to sleep with my cock in his ass for the whole night, he’d let me and thank me for it. His trust in me filled me with both awe and terror, but my desire for him eclipsed any other emotion."

After reading some low-steam stories and some really, really messed up dark ones, I needed a good sweet erotic romance as a palate cleanser. So who else would I look to other than the King Roe Horvat?

Cabin Fever is the story of rich boy Michael Bourgeon who has a hit on him, and the older experienced ex-marine turned bodyguard/private security Vincent Nowak. In order to protect Micheal after a close call, they move to a secluded and protected cabin in a forest.

I loved how dirty, steamy, sexy, and kinky this story was. The chemistry between Michael and Vincent was at peak inferno. Roe blends the sweet and tender with the filthy and erotic so seamlessly. So it was just as romantic as it was erotic. I loved loved LOVED their relationship dynamic so much. It was just perfect, oh so perfect - Age gap, Daddy/Boy, Bodyguard/Client, Codependency, Worship, Rimming /ass play (no one writes this like Roe), hurt/comfort, and size difference!

"My body opened for him, every cell in my nervous system buzzing with joy. I knew I could take him. My whole life, I’d been getting ready for this, the pinnacle of pleasure. Of course, I could take him. He was everything I’d ever wanted in bed—the sex god of my dreams."

"He wasn’t supposed to sleep in my bed. Yet here he was, full of my cum once again, tucked to my side, and I fingered his relaxed hole while he slept."

Was this more porn than plot? Yes. Did I care? NOPE.

However, I liked how the story concluded regarding the stalker/assassin and the fantastic happy ending they get after some grovelling on Vicient's part for not trusting Michael's love for him.

"He needed to be somebody’s priority. He wanted someone to keep him in line, to protect him from himself, to fuck him ruthlessly and take care of him with tenderness."

“I love you, Vincent,” I said softly. “I’m yours. You need to get well so you can take care of me. You promised, and I promise to take care of you too.”

"With my boy sleeping curled next to me, I made a decision. I’d build my life around his. For as long as he wanted me, I would be there for him."

Overall it was an excellent read. I'm a huge fan of Roe Horvat, so whatever he writes, I will always enjoy it, and Cabin Fever was no different. If you're ever in the mood for a naughty, steamy, low-angst erotic romance, this is it!

I had to create a new shelf just for this book called "excessive sex."

As in: starting with Chapter 2, there's sex, chap 3, sex, chap 4, sex, chap 5.... all the way to the last chapter, more sex, tho somewhat toned down from all the nonstop "boy" and "daddy" and "hurt me" and "be my f*ckhole" endless litany...

As to plot, what plot? Bodyguard with rich pretty boy in a cabin by themselves. That's the whole book. With the issue introduced in chap 1 and resolved in next to last chap, like in 2 paragraphs, while the rest of the book is ALL SEXXXXXXXX....

And while I am a huge fan of well-written sex... I am EXHAUSTED from all the nonstop action in this book. I have to take BREAKS from reading. It's truly EXCESSIVE!

That being said, the writing wasn't bad. Just.... all about sex.

Probably won't be reading any more by this author. I just feel so tired after reading... And my butt hurts vicariously...

It was HOT. And flilthy. And dirty. And kinky. I'll give it that.

But that's about it.

Porn with plot. No real feelings. All seemed to based on sex. Very superficial.

I miss the Vanilla Clouds Roe Horvat, the Layover Roe Horvat, the A Love Song for the Sad Man in the White Coat Roe Horvat.

So, I can appreciate the hotness and smut factor of this one, but prefer more depth.

Oooh boy that was steamy, and downright filthy in the best way.

But, as with every erotica Roe writes, there's a solid story backing up the sexy times and here it's an interesting twist on the bodyguard trope.

My one niggle is that I felt it all ended a bit abruptly, given the long build up to the stalker plot.

But that's the one thing that I have any quarms about. Everything else was a hot adventure through a needy Boy and his somewhat reluctant Daddy.

There's some light BDSM, a lot of the control Michael needs and a wee bit of bratish rebellion.

The stalker plot worked for me, I felt it was well within the realms of possibility. The ending was sweet but just felt like it cut off a bit suddenly.

Having said that, as this started life as a couple of freebie shorts and has turned into a cracking good tale, I'm just gonna be grateful Roe wrote it in the first place.

#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review.

It was pretty much erotica with a bit of character development.

Freaking HOT, yes, I could've appreciated more emotional development though; or just some verbal connection between the characters, they didn't seem to talk to each other much, except during sex. Don't get me wrong, their dirty talk was oh so good, but I wanted to see them having something more in common, apart from super hot kinky sex.

But if you are in a mood for good smut sprinkled with some angst, this one's definitely for you.

What started out as a frisky wee bit of erotica in the short stories Yes, Daddy and Quite Boy, Roe Horvat turns into a full fledged romance in Cabin Fever. The expanded version focuses mainly on establishing a deeper, more intimate connection between the main characters, and explores how their relationship evolves.

Fans of Roe Horvat’s luscious brand of erotica will appreciate the time the author spends growing their kink dynamic. Using alternating points of view, Mr. Horvat delves into how both characters are processing their experiences. From their mutual initial attraction, to the stirrings of affection, and eventually to love, we get to know Vincent and Michael’s innermost thoughts.

The men have wonderful chemistry and I enjoyed seeing more of the men’s day to day interactions. Spending time cooking and doing chores around the cabin, exercising, and just enjoying each other’s company clearly show their bond developing.

The stalker mystery comes to a satisfying conclusion and Vincent and Michael do get their happily ever after. Once the threat is over, these two can start life “outside the cabin”. What we get to see of them finding their way as a couple is very satisfying, but the romantic in me would love to get more of them as an established couple. Hopefully Roe Horvat is simply laying the groundwork for a sequel… fingers crossed!

Yes, it is quite like reading in a fever delirium. Filled to the brim with one sex scene after another, there is basically only a beginning and end plot, everything in between is sex sex sex, and not of the vanilla kind. Filthy and very kinky.
A typical Roe Horvat, as much as I love this kind of smut, but unfortunately it's overkill for me. The smut is really perfect, but a few more dialogues of the normal kind would have been nice, just to get a little space between the sex scenes and take a breath now and then.
ok, here are a few of the jaw-dropping gasping passages, I think they speak for themselves.

“I won’t fuck you nice and slow and call you a good boy for simply spreading your legs,” he growled. “You think you want me? I can tan your ass so hard you won’t be able to sit for a week. Then I’d rip your hole apart.” 🔥🔥🔥

He groaned from deep within, and warm liquid covered my pucker. “Fuck, yes,” I muttered. I was so hard I could’ve wept with need. I reached back and dipped my finger into his spunk running down my crease. I pushed it back into me, then scooped up more and stuffed my hole with it. 🥵🥵🥵

“My sweet boy. I’ve turned off your brain with my dick, haven’t I?”
He groaned louder at my words.
I was getting close again, and this time, I didn’t think I could hold back. Seeing him like this, so completely and utterly mine, was too much for my self-control.

"When you say my name in your sleep. You do that, did you know? Calling me in your sleep. And your lips seem to be begging for me to kiss you. Gorgeous."

Reading two Horvat books back-to-back in almost one day (Desires of a Monster & Cabin Fever) thrilled and exhausted the lights out of me. I need a break. Nothing new to be honest but I still love it. I love this author's writing style because I can see flying myself through it. This book lived up to my Chris Hemsworth as a hot bodyguard fantasy. There were some things I wanted to point out but they're all forgiven at this point. Need a new author next!

I first read this as 2 free short stories that Roe wrote during this pandemic crisis. It ended unresolved and I really, really hoped that there would be a finale for Michael and Vincent. So, I was very happy to see that Roe was going to write their whole story and give them a HEA!

Michael has to go into protective custody for his own safety while the FBI works on trying to find out who is trying to kill him. The man hired to watch over him, Vincent, is stern, gruff, and very Daddy. The two hide out in a cabin in a remote area in the woods. Michael is a brat, and not afraid to show it.

The chemistry between these two is just fire. Roe does such an amazing job with writing crazysexyhot steamy stories. (Just read his Those Other Books series to see what I mean!) He's an excellent writer and can pack such a punch in little moments between characters.

I loved how everything played out for Mikey and Vincent. I loved how the sex grew from just a hook-up to making love. I really enjoyed these two together. And yeah, there is a LOT of sex in this story. But these two aren't afraid of going for what they want, there's no shame in the Daddy, pain, size kink-kinks that these two have together.

And the ending is just the sweetest thing. Love it, can't wait for more! (I need that demon story!)

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Holly hell this book was literally pure sex! And I mean it it was A LOT of kinky sex in here …Every chapter all the time and I didn’t mind it at all🤭
If you erotica with a bit of plot this would be your book!
I loved the bodyguard trope here I’m just a sucker for Vincent and Michael and just a freaking awesome chemistry and their dynamic was chefkiss !
It was interesting but also intense to read about Michaels sex addiction and the way he used sex as a coping mechanism to ground and distract himself from the anxiety he is facing because of the murder attempts on him.
Vincent really tried to fight not to get involved in all this but he couldn’t stand his ground and gave in. He gave Michael the security and firmness he so desperately needed and be the daddy he longed for.
And to the sex scene pls they had me all hot and bothered!! It was for sure a lot of sex almost 90% and books like that often don’t work out for me but this here was definitely differently even if it was also just sex it still had somehow deepness it. Both of the MCs expressed so much during their intimate moments , it was rough, dirty, kinky, and intense but also full of longing and devotion and I loved this so much.

Roe did a great job with this one.

I had my suspicions on the wrong person on who was actually putting out the hit order on Michael but I was wrong and I get happy when I turn out to be wrong.

The ending was fluffy af and I live for that but the rest of the book?? 🫣✨ hummana

I shouldn't be disappointed because after all this is labeled as erotica and I knew that going in. Still, I know that this author is capable of writing masterpieces and here I was, skimming and skipping scenes (so.much.sex). There was no real effort as far as the mystery was concerned either. 3 stars because the writing is excellent, as always.

okay so i had higher expectations from this one. i enjoyed the book and loved both the characters more or less

The first time I saw Vincent Nowak, I was half-hard in my jeans for the entire meeting.

plot: Michael Bourgeon is an artist and a rich heir who's being stalked. When attempts are made on his life, his uncle hires Vincent Nowak, one of the best private security experts in the world to guard Michael.

The kid was going to be a spectacular mess to babysit.

they have a huge age gap between and Vincent works for Michael so Vincent tries to stay away but Michael is just too much of a temptation for him to resist in the end.

We had all the odds against us – our age difference, our background, our habits and interests. We had nothing in common except one remote cabin by a lake, and a memory tainted by blood.

i did not really like the ending where the fight happens but it ends with a hea so that's that. i think a lot of the story fell flat for me and i couldn't really connect with the characters or feel the love between them.

overall, it was a pretty decent one time read and i'll definitely check out more by the author.

Sexy, dirty, a bit sweet, and some action. Exactly what I signed up for!

Michael is the spoiled rich kid with a streak of trouble and bad behaviour. He likes to push boundaries, and people’s buttons.

I’ll admit - I really didn’t like Michael as a person as first. But the brat grew on me eventually.

Vincent is stoic, silent, and dependable. He gets the job done. Perfect boyfriend material - or daddy material, in this case.

The complete opposites are thrown together when a contracted killer sets sights on Michael, and Vincent is brought in to be the bodyguard.

From the moment they meet, the men enter a battle of wills. But underneath it all, there’s a palpable want and tension.

With Michael and Vincent holed up in an isolated cabin, there’s nothing to do. Except for Michael to tease. And tease a bit more. And then some more.

Until Vincent’s resolve finally breaks.

Then it’s sex-galore. Page after page of filth.

description

I was very much so on board with it. The big issue - other than the contracted killer stalking them, of course - is Vincent’s inability to let someone in, and the resulting hot-and-cold routine.

But again and again, Vincent caves to his boy. And soon Michael has his Daddy wrapped around his finger.

description

Inevitably, the plot catches up and there’s a big action scene. The premise of it all was very flimsy. But I let it slide - the action plot definitely wasn’t the focus of the book.

If you’re looking for some good smut and a sweet Daddy/boy romance, give Cabin Fever a try!

I don't know what it is about Roe Horvat's writing, but I just adore it. This book hit just right - the kink, the sex, the mutual affection. The plot was entirely meh. But I couldn't put this down.

⭐️ 3/5 🌶️ 4/5 – Snowstorm? Nah, that cabin was pure fire.

Okay so Cabin Fever by Roe Horvat gave me a good time, but not a great one. This is my 8th book from him, and while I usually eat up his stuff like candy, this one just didn’t leave me obsessed. 😬

We’ve got a rich, bratty, cocky heir with a soft core (Michael), and a hot, gruff, emotionally constipated Daddy bodyguard (Vincent) thrown together in an isolated cabin while someone’s out there trying to kill Michael. Hot, right? YES. And I did love watching Vincent slowly unravel—his whole “gotta keep it professional” mantra cracking every time Michael walked around in tiny shorts or wiggled that damn ass. The push-pull tension? Delicious. 🤌🏻

But here's my problem: Michael’s the one doing all the emotional heavy lifting. He’s bold, open, flirty, and practically shoving his heart into Vincent’s hands from day one. And Vincent? Tsk. This man took forever to get his head outta his own ass. I get that he’s trying to keep boundaries and do his damn job, but Vincent, you already kissed him, ate him, loved him—just admit you’re gone for him and man up! 😠

Michael stayed by his side for four days in the hospital. Then he was the one asking Vincent to come live with him. But even then, Vincent was still doubting that what they had was real. And okay yeah, I get it—they'd been locked in a literal cabin bubble, there's a huge age gap, different social classes, yada yada yada. But come the fuck on. After all that? Michael deserved to feel secure without carrying the whole damn relationship on his back. 🙄

I get it, okay? Vincent took a fuckin' bullet for him. He killed the assassin. He was unconscious in that damn hospital for four days. He loves Michael. I won't take that away from him. But love isn't just about dying for someone, it's about living for them, too. About standing the fuck up and choosing them every goddamn day. And he failed at that when it really fuckin' mattered. 💩

That scene where Michael violated himself and flogged his back? Hurting himself with something that was supposed to bring him pleasure? That's not just pain, that's grief and desperation wrapped in sexual agony. That shit is brutal. And Vincent not seeing that until it's too late? Makes my fuckin' blood boil. That man needs a damn lesson in emotional responsibility. 😭🤬

When Vincent finds out, it hits him like a truck. And yeah, props to him for at least saying, "I don't want you to forgive me today." That moment mattered. But let's be fucking clear—his groveling wasn't enough. It was too short, too light, not nearly enough to match the depth of Michael's suffering. He needed to crawl, to beg, to show he understood the magnitude of what his cowardice caused. That redemption arc? It needed more goddamn weight. 😤

I just needed a little more fight from him earlier, you know? Not just protection from bullets—I wanted him to protect Michael from those ugly thoughts too. Emotionally. That's Daddy's job. 😡

Still, the spice was good and the tension had me squirming, Just wish the love felt more evenly matched. 🫤

Fever IS right?!? Wow 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Is this PWP? Yes, but wow is it super molten hot!
The conflict was kind of a red herring to get a body guard and client stuck together in a remote cabin.
BUT it IS super hot did I mention that already 🧐

I loved Michael and Vincent! They had great chemistry and the build up was also very very sexy.
Then is was a never ending f*ckfest which was highly entertaining. Low angst/ high heat.
Highly recommend!

This was pure, 100% undiluted erotica my friends.

It had great writing as is to be expected from Roe Horvat but Do NOT go into this expecting anything other than what it unapologetically is; Erotica.

Michael Bourgeon is a rich and young artist. The twenty-four-year-old guy is beautiful and the only heir of the family. He has the reputation of a brat who loves throwing the most extravagant parties and living his life the way he wants. Things change when someone tries to kill him. His uncle employs a private security expert, Vincent Nowak who will take Michael to an isolated cabin in the woods until the FBI catches the killer. It all starts with teasing and then there will be fireworks between the two.

This is the first time I read a story by Roe Horvat and I loved her writing style a lot. The main themes of this book are daddy/boy and dominant/submissive. Both themes worked very well for the story, situation, and the characters. The sexual chemistry between the main characters was very intense. No wonder the two guys couldn’t resist not going for it all. At first, Michael seemed to be a spoiled brat. The boy just needed a man in his life who would make him a better person. Vincent was that man. The brat needed a daddy to tame him and keep him under control. When Vincent was able to do that, Michael became a very good boy. A boy whom any daddy would love to have! The sex scenes are explicit, graphic, detailed, and plenty. Just how I love them 😄. They range from vanilla to BDSM fun. The BDSM part was not extreme though but that will all depend on your own definition of extreme. The vital driver of the story is the age difference between the main characters. The author played with that element throughout the story. This is the story where lust comes first and then it is followed by love. Some readers might not be convinced with the love factor in the story but I feel it is natural in the case of Michael because to him Vincent was the daddy hero who he was waiting for and was there to protect him. And with the man taking a bullet for the boy, that sealed the deal. I am glad the author chose this happy ending because I would’ve felt disappointed if she did not. I had a great time reading the story and looking forward to reading more books by Horvat. Highly recommended.
