In the white house on the hill, there lives a terrier..
The terrier leads a charmed life with his family. Despite this, troubles such as bath time, the looming threat of the vet, and the dreaded next door neighbors always seem to intrude upon the terrier's peaceful existence. How will the terrier deal with the neighbors? Will the terrier be given a proper breakfast by his Father? And what is that odd scent out in the yard?
This two part short story offer readers a lighthearted glimpse into the daily life of a young terrier who, while he may be mischievous, has a heart of gold for his family.
A ray of sunshine in cloudy times, filled with warmth and humor
This is a gentle, lovely read. Often we think of "escapism" as only tales of the fantastic or otherworldly, and in a way suppose this fits the bill by that definition. It certainly is an escape to the world of warmth and security of man's best friend.
A humorous peek into an average, idyllic day of a much loved dog (told cleverly from the dog's perspective). The writing is perhaps sometimes a touch overwrought but the effect as a whole is undeniably charming.
It was a joy to read, and I look forward to reading more from this author.
This is my first one I've read by Carie Green. It's an adorable story about a terrier and his adventures Written from the dogs POV it's a fast read and a sweet memorable story. Looking forward to more of this writer.
