Edwina Martin-Arnold is the author of several romance books. She is a hopeless romantic, and a true believer in happily ever after. However, Edwina knows that the path to real love is rarely straight forward. To the contrary, it's often paved with many turns and a peril or two, in real life and in the stories she creates. When Edwina isn't daydreaming about love, she's using her law degree to fight for Civil Rights or is coaching basketball.
Review: " He was a dangerous sin, wrapped in angelic eyes; it made my heart pound with distrust and my mind cloud with bewilderment." Greetings dear readers! the book I read recently is certainly a unique interpretation of something sensual that someone barely talks about. Olivia Anderson, an english professor the book is about her wild side, how she discovered it and what all happened during that. Olivia discovers the erotic art, a real sensual side while she was deeply merged in her thoughts. While she was in her thoughts and traveling the wild side she discovers what she feels for Flava, who was a dancer. As she explores her desires for Flava a real funny tragic situation happens with her. The next day when she is back to her work she founds Flava in a classroom, sitting right in front of her! Now if you are reading this line, you can probably imagine Olivia's expression at this moment. Well, after this tragic incident Olivia gets to discover a lot about herself. A whole new series of self discovery including a whole new phase of life which is rarely talked about. After she discovers herself she is more into love and it's various sides, a real enchanting tale. Get in and take a walk on the wild side.
📚I'm literally amazed after reading this, so excellently narrated. I really want to appreciate the author's interpretation, their are not so many incidents in the story but the way the author has interpreted Olivia's thoughts is just amazing. I was so much into the book that I finished it in few hours, I was amazed and entertained throughout the read.

Vanilla Chocolate had me wanting to sip on a glass of cognac and book a flight to Paris immediately. It was a quick read, which I totally appreciated, but it still packed all the romance and drama I was craving. I loved that Andrea took a chance and stepped out of her comfort zone when it came to love. But GIRL. How do you not remember sleeping with this man?! Maybe that cognac hit a little too good! 😂
Despite that wild moment, I absolutely adored the love that blossomed between Andrea and Marceau. Their chemistry was everything. And Andrea being a photographer had me thinking about Nina from Love Jones the entire time. I couldn’t unsee it!
All in all, this book was such a sweet little escape on my Saturday night, and I can’t wait to keep going with the series.
I was hesitant about reading this book because I thought the central issue was going to be race. Not everyone is good at describing the angst. But it was not the central issue. It had another heavy topic as the central issue that was thankfully not shoved down the readers throat. Even at the end where I felt the story might devolve into a melodrama. Yet thankfully it was written matter factly. And the heroine's comment gave it a light hearted exclamation point at the end. Looking forward to reading the next story in the series.
This was a great read. Especially now when so many Black women are asking themselves " Do I wait for my Ideal Black man or follow my heart. " While sexual chemistry is important & this couple had it for sure. I liked how they each had a profession & responsibilities. I found this story touching & the various obstacles of a strong committed relationship believeable. This was well worth the read.
Marceau knew Andrea from high school and had a crush on her since then. He thought he would never get his chance with her until their chance encounter in Paris that blew both if their minds. Andrea always likes me lobster men and Marc say was a Viking god. She had a hard time reconciling her attraction to him. But Marc way never gave up. He gave Andrew enough time to make up her mind about issues she had on her own. When she did decide, Marceau was all in.
Andrea and Marcau were so cute together. He liked her since high school although she didn't really pay any attention to him! They meet again in France, connect on an intimate level, the rest is really history! Evidently opposites do attract! Loved the cameo of Olivia and Andre!
I like the author's writing style. Like many of us do, Andrea was talking to herself and questioning her own sanity and hang ups. I had to laugh because that is me in a nut shell. Sadly, my biases and hang ups have caused missed romantic opportunities. This story has me giving thought to being more open.
I am truly enjoying this series and how each story can stand on its own. So happy Andrea was able to look beyond color and allow herself to love. Also, I love how Marcue never gave up on finding her, and when he did he sealed their fate.
I chuckled again while reading this story. It was fun to read, and I was able to travel a little. Appreciate the mental health concerns being included. Made me pause for thought.
It's a great, well-written story. Andrea and Marceau are a wonderful couple. I love that they deal with the subject of race. Most interracial stories dance around it, giving the story an unrealistic feel. This story is well-written, funny, and intriguing. It's well worth the read!
