Rate this book
Zedo Jeta is back! Initially he wanted to seek revenge on the man who’d caused him to fall into a coma for 30 years, Dr. Henry Otoowa Burton, but over time his focus shifted.
These days he's been bent on saving the world ever since he and his friends were recruited by World Clues–an international organization that uses intelligence and counterintelligence to prevent catastrophic events, including wars.
With his friends and super powers at his side, Zedo has led countless missions to save the world and he even led an army of super humans in victory in the final battle that ended the War of the Apparitions. He's survived a coma, fallen in love, overcome his immediate need for revenge, found the courage to rise to leadership, and has even been the face of the United Nations' Super Human Task Force, but the worst is yet to come!
After a disturbing meeting with the mysterious council called 'The Elite', Zedo now knows that the War of the Advanced Future is upon them and it's up to him and his friends to stop it, but there's a catch...he doesn't know what the catalyst of the war is or how to stop it.
Now Zedo must come to terms with his emotions and put all of his energy into stopping the war to end all wars...or die trying.

this was CRAZY! a lot of twists and turns and a lot of maturity. zedo isn't a kid anymore and what I thought was YA has now become very adult and dark (in a good way) cause that just shows the progression of life.
so much was packed into this book and even after finishing it in 4 days, I feel like I need more time to digest it.
I rated it 4 stars and would've gone for 5 but I had an issue with *SPOILER* Half the original characters being killed off and we lost Gonzo off-screen and I felt that was done poorly. gonzo was an important part and he didn't get a proper goodbye. I felt that wasn't done well.
but other than that,, the book was really good and showed so many diferent aspects of how a guy feels and what those emotions do to a person.

As the author I'm a little biased, but "EMOTIONS OF I" is just a wild & fantastical ride! Book 3 of the 'Across the Stars' Series picks up right where book 2 left off.
Filled with thrills, shocking revelations, tons of action, new friends and trying situations, Emotions of I finds our hero, Zedo, growing in ways he never imagined and being pushed in ways he's not ready for.
Enjoy this novel and let me know what you think!

Book 4 of the series came out in the Fall 2020! Feel free to continue the series if you're enjoying it. :)

Okay, this is tricky. While I completely blasted through the first and second books in like a week's time, Emotions Of I took me a while to get into. To me, it felt like way too much was going on with the plot, like it didn't have time to breathe and stand on its own. At times I had to stop and reflect on what has all transpired since every page introduced something new to the story.

So for the most part, the third book in the series takes a much slower route to establish Zedo's relationship with balancing his burgeoning career as a hero agent and a life with his friends who are like family to him. The beginning was nice. It was a good transition from the fall out of the second book, and I was on board with what was coming next. Or at least I thought I was, because what came next was like a tidal wave of events that completely took me by surprise.

But behind the chaos of stopping another war from happening, the story at it's core is about solidifying relationships and forming alliances. Zedo is taking more initiative in settling down with a girl he loves in the heat of facing off with an onslaught of threats ready to take him out.

Now I did have pitfalls with this story. Not super huge deal breaker but minor gripes.

One:honestly, I wasn't a big fan of the romance between Zedo and Zale-Marie. I mean I get why it was there, to show that Zedo was willing to set aside his life as a superhuman agent, but at times it got in the way with the plot. Chapters that didn't feature Zale-Marie were the best to me lol. Obviously, she wasn't my favorite character of the cast.

Two:The plot. It was a mouthful lol. There were many times where I had to stop and reflect on what just happened, because this plot waits for no one! I got the gist of what was happening and the end game but for the most part, I felt overwhelmed and had to re read passages to ensure I didn't miss anything.

Three: the time jumps. Oh, man, this made my head hurt lol. I can only image how Zedo's head felt.

Four: Zela-Marie. Like I said earlier, she wasn't one of my favorites. I could never quiet pin her personality since she was very much googoo eyes for Zedo 24/7. I get they're in a relationship, but still. Give my man some room!

Besides all that, I loved the worldbuilding and the intricate interpersonal details. The Atlantis scenes were amazing and each time the characters went there, I was interested in see what they'll find out.

Lastly, I'd like to thank the author for granting me an advance feature copy of his book! It was a fast pace and really interesting. Can't wait for the next installment. Keep it up, man!

though not as jam packed with action as the last book, this was still really good. I enjoyed the maturity of the main character and also the darker tone of the book. the pacing was a bit lacking in certain parts and I feel like there was too much exposition with not a lot of plot progression, but it did really well with being introspective and focusing on so many emotions that zedo was feeling.
not sure how i feel about who he became in this book, but I guess that's part of character development. characters are supposed to change.
I didn't expect the series to be like this. i thought it would just be a fun action ride, but with this book it's shifted and seems to have more of an edge to it that'll just get darker and i think I like that.
overall I was pleased.

Didn't nearly enjoy this one as much as the last book. It felt rushed and like there was too much going on. There wasn't much action and where that was it fizzled out very quickly. I felt it could've been split into 2 books to develop it more.
On the bright side, Zedo's character grows and develops as he transitions into adulthood. Zela will be his downfall as he's based all his decisions on his relattionship. I'll call it now! Maybe that's a bit of foreshadowing but those two aren't on the same page.
Not quite sure where the series is going, but I'm willing to give it another chance if there's another book.

surprise, surprise. this took a turn I didn't expect. this book made zedo more human and took a step back from the purely super natural fight for a moment to explore other things. this was definitely not what I expected but that's alright.
kind of disappointed in a few characters getting killed off, but i guess that's what books are made for.
