The Dark Eden

Fire destroys everything it touches.

The elemental carriers were right when they said that it was the most potent gift.

Ever since I unlocked mine, my mind hasn't felt the same.

It was a surge of power I wasn't expecting, but now I'm out for vengeance.

Vengeance against Asher, Jade, and anyone who's ever done me wrong.

I'm not the lost eden anymore, now I'm dark- and there's no turning back.

3.5ish to 4. I am totally here for this plot, even with all the time-outs being called by the characters for some steamy scenes.. (not a complaint). Book two has a whole new flair as well as all kinds of new mysteries. No clue where this is going really but totally down for the ride.

While our guys all have completely different personalities, which the author makes what seems to be a really conscious effort to portray, I am still wanting more. More depth from them, more time spent with each other, more get to know you, just more really. However, I also see how there ain't no time for that up in this book. There is just really so much packed into this story, I feel like I'm on a roller-coaster.

Ok, introduction to a 5th element: Time! LOVE THIS.. Everything about it.. every single thing! While our characters are being sent on a scavenger hunt, clues and all ya'll, to figure out how to restart time, and maybe even correct some.. oopsies (Eden made a tiny mistake in the last book.), Eden is also really going through some identity crises, as her old self and her new self.. which seems to be two different entities battle it out in her body. I could do without the constant pull of her insecurities to overwhelm her.. this is totally a preference for me though. Not sure I like to see my own faults to blatantly displayed across the page.. but ya know.

That ending though.. totally face first, dive mode right off that cliffhanger. WTF now, I ask.. what do I do with that info.. I freaking hate waiting.... Think the next one doesn't come out till November? maybe..

To be honest, I only picked up the second book because of the plot, but I liked it more then I thought I would. I'm a sucker for RH books and magic and the ending of this one had me shooked. The beginning of the book was a bit slow and I even thought of not finishing it, but I am so glad I kept going.
This book is a bit more spicier then the first and there is a lot more tension between the characters.

Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

The Dark Eden is the second book in the Elemental Eden series and it's even better than the first. With the first book, I thought that the story was interesting but something about it was a little off but with Dark Eden, everything flowed much better.

Eden discovered and went through a lot of things in the first book and now she is one of the most powerful magical beings there is so it was bound to change her. In the first book, Eden had anxiety and she was a doormat, she didn't stand up for herself and she let people walk all over her, in Dark Eden things change. Eden has a big personality shift, while I understood her in the first book her personality bothered me, now after the shift I like her better but it wasn't until about half-way through the book. I like that she is taking charge and is battling her anxiety.

As for the guys I like getting to know them better, Atlas with his sensitivity, Adler with his laid-back carefreeness and Apollo who is guarded but cares. More of the guy's personalities are coming out and I like how they each reach a different part of Eden, connect to her in a different way. I know Apollo has his issues but I learned more about him in this story and it makes understanding and liking him easier.

The Dark Eden storyline was really unexpected. I had no idea where the story was going but it held my interest with all the steamy scenes, the snarky comments, mysterious magic and so much more. A new character is introduced who I love and there is a whole Alice in Wonderland vibe going on towards the end of the book and I'm not mad about it. This story ended on a crazy cliffhanger that no one could have seen coming and now I have to suffer the wait until the next book. I can't wait to find out what in the world is going on and what other obstacles are gonna be through at Eden, I have questions and I need the answers.

Book two in the Lost Eden series, where Eden Montgomery is learning to use her powers, and how to deal with have not one, not two, but four sparks. Her fire powers are getting out of control, with her setting everything on fire when she can't control her emotions, and learning to control her emotions is the biggest roller coaster for Eden. With the help of Apollo, Atlas and Adler, she learns to get a grip on her powers while trying to figure out how to bring Asher down. But then, a fifth, previously unheard of element appears: time. And with that comes another mage and another spark for Eden.

This book is spicy with intriguing scenes between Eden and her sparks. Between the storyline of Eden learning to control her powers to save the world, and the romantic scenes, it was impossible to put this book down.

Eden is back with Atlas, Apollo, and Adler in the second part of the series. She awakens after her fire magic did something horrendous. She now has control of all four elemental magics and they are all awake. She will finally get to have relations with the three mates. But when she does, something miraculous and unexpected transpires. Entering another land, they have to undo something that magic had stopped. When she discovers another magical elemental and being, she is in for a huge surprise and will have to repeat a process that will change the course of things. But the ending! Totally unexpected…yet, at the same time it makes sense…can not wait to see what happens next! I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

A good second volume

If the first volume speaks about the lack of self-confidence, for me this one speaks about what happens when you gain self-confidence and power. Will you let this angry part of you, the one which was abused when you were weak, take control? How will you balance your old hurt self and your new powerful self? That's what Eden has to face in this book.
We continue to get to know more and more the guys and some secrets are unveiled but mysteries deepen.
I love the concept of the fifth element and (!!!spoiler!!!) the time travel.
It wasn't clear for me what happened to Asher and Jade until the half of the book. It was a bit confusing.
Be careful, there are more and more typos...(>﹏<)

So much to say honestly. I hate it when writers are redundant and drag out the story for a book to look like it has more content. This is why i love this series. Its straight to the point. Each character compliments another character, and where is "lacking", for a better word, another one picks up on. I've always been a fast reader, but even i have shocked myself today. I started the first book a couple hours ago, and i just finished the second book in like 3 hours. The ending has me confused, but i want more, and what better solution to my problem than to read the final book. Im apart of the ARC Team and this is my honest review.

I put this on my last review for book one and I am gonna put it here as well.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters and world building are amazing. The only thing I kept getting hung up on was the spelling and grammar. I understand that Storm is a self-published author and that getting an editor is difficult, but at some points it does make the reading difficult.
However, I did notice an improvement in those writing skills in this book and it is really cool to see her grow as a writer, while simultaneously being able to read a great book!
I can’t wait for the third book and I highly recommend!

5 sparks. Why not.

Still into this story. The boys all bring something different to the table. I'm also looking the new side of Eden, no so much the dark one but the one in the middle. I really hope to see her more permanently in the rest of the series. Dark eden is scary and scared Eden is pitiful. One of the reasons I gave 4 stars was that too much of the book focused on her whiny self and just going back and forth between personalities mainly the pitiful one so that was annoying. It's just with all those awesome powers she can so be a badass. Which she does show in this a few times. I am also definitely intrigued by that whopper of a cliffhanger I did not see coming.

This is book 2 in the Elemental Eden series. This book is just as well written as the first book in this series. It moves along at a great pace, making for an enjoyable read. The characters are so real and amazing that you cannot help but fall in love with them. You feel as though you know them personally and no matter what you want to see them succeed in everything that they want to achieve. The story keeps you reading and you cant put it down until the very last page is read. This book needs to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.

Yowza!! If you thought book one was jaw dropping, just wait to read this one. All emotions run hot as Eden deals with the aftermath of accepting the fire element into her being. Puzzles still remain to solve in order to save humanity...and of course a few shocking surprises. Through it all she remains the beacons to her Sparks. Can she surpass the recent pain caused by Jade, and that from her past to fully become the Eden she's destined to be? There's tons of sarcasm and humor, puzzles galore, sexy time, and tons of action within these pages. Get ready for one doozy of a ride!!!

The second book in the Elemental Eden series continues to expand on our main character, Eden, and her journey to figuring out her fate. This series is short, which makes it so binge-worthy. We meet more love interests and get to know more about Eden's current partners. There are so many twists in this book, mixed with occasional steamy scenes, that keep you wanting more. This story does end on another cliffhanger so be ready to binge the next book!

Better than the first one. Very steamy. I wish it was longer it was wayyyyy to short. I’m picture a young Tom Felton every time I read Silas. The only thing aside from making it longer I want more relationship outside of sex like there are little nuggets but like I crave more. But like also I can see why there isn’t with eden having to be the savior and all

This book showed us a very different version of Eden a mature and darker version but also a stronger one. I especially loved the moments where she refused to give into her own dark thoughts. Strap in tight bc this book has so many twists and turns and surprises you'll get whiplash otherwise. Especially the ending will throw you for a loop.

This being the second book in the series, it started out with a bang. The puzzle of Eden's story is slowly unraveling and showing how strong, capable and fiery (pun intended] she can really be. Her love for the carriers is heartwarming, sexy, and exciting. This story is one I will definitely be revisiting soon! I already have the next one started!

Absolutely loved it. The chemistry with her and the mages is so engaging and the spice level is off the charts! 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 the plot is great, although there is a lot going on it was a little hard to keep up at parts and the cliffhanger ending has me wanting to start book 3 at 11pm at night! I’m 100% invested

The book was very easy to follow along and every woman’s dream. The only flaw it has is some spelling grammars and punctuation. It may need to be edited a little.

Spice is always top notch. I've picked up on a few plot holes and rushed writing but the overall storyline is good.
