4 ”Crazy and Smutty” stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
How can he be both annoying and oddly endearing at the same time? It has to be his good looks. It’s playing with my mind.
This was such a hilarious and filthy romance that I didn’t know I needed. I went into this expecting a typical office romance but what I got was two crazy people who were so meant for each other. I ended up enjoying the shit out of it. Usually the heroine is crazy but here the hero left me surprised. His actions definitely proved he was going to get her no matter what.
Finn O’hare sees Lucia for the first time at a restaurant and decides just after one look she going to be his future wife. He’s used to women falling at his feet so when he approaches her( and what a entry that was), he doesn’t expect her to smack him..TWICE. Guess what it only turned him on more and he’s not deterred.
Lucia is herself shocked with her own actions. I mean who smacks their boss even if he doesn’t knows that yet. She hopes that he won’t recognise her on the first day of the job. She’s only heard great things about him so of course she’s surprised when he literally tells her she’s going home with him.
Then begins the mission of seducing her or more like trying her to make the first move since he’s the boss and it’s frowned upon. Finn’s actions were both sweet and hilarious. He fucking wore a PINK suit just cause it was her favourite colour. I’m not going to tell what else he did, it will ruin the fun.
”I love you,” I tell him.
“I know. You wrote my name over and over in your notebook.”
I smack his chest. “You’re not supposed to talk about that,” I remind him.
“I never brought up the pages where you wrote your own name with my last name.”
“Finn!” I hadn't known he'd seen those.
“I love you too.” He smiles smugly. He pulls me up his body to kiss me. “The jig is up. You wanted my last name and I made it happen.”
Lucia or lucky never stood a chance. She tried to resist him but he eventually wore her down. It was honestly cute to watch. When they finally got together, it was explosive. The dirty mouth on that guy left me blushing the whole time. Between the sheets, he had a dominating side. I thoroughly loved these two.
”Kissing makes you wet, does it?” I trace the edges of her petals with a finger.
She quivers and gasps, but has enough presence to retort, “Kissing makes you hard, does it?”
I reach down and cup myself. “You bet your sweet ass it does. Looking at you makes me hard. Kissing you makes me volcanic. Touching you like this makes me want to blow my wad.”
It was my first read by this author and now I know where to go when I want a smutty bedtime read. I’m not a insta-love fan, even one-sided, but I couldn’t resist this one and it’s fun once in a while. It was a short entertaining read. I recommend it if you’re up for a couple who are both spontaneous and funny. ♥️

This was sooo fun! Finn is so unhinged for Lucia; he's OTT and really extra, showing how he is down bad for her. 🤭 Insta-love and obsession at their finest, and I'm here for all of it. It's really comedic seeing him get crazy over her and how his antics make it clear he's all in.
I have to say the man is persistent, despite Lucia not returning his affections in the beginning. Not because she isn't interested, but because she doesn't understand her own emotions. Not once did he give up, and I commend him for eventually winning his girl.

"Against the Rules" is the story of Lucia and Finn.
A sweet forbidden office romance, with a smitten hero and confused heroine. She gives him a hard time mistaking his intentions again and again.. and again- he knows what he wants and continues his gentle pursuit. There humor, romance, well written sex and a HEA.
Enjoyed it.

A sweet and funny story. I loved Finn and Lucia. They were so cute together. Safety: both virgins, no drama. Nice epilogue with pregnant with twins heroine!

Lucia necesita un trabajo y cuando escucha que la corporación O'Hare está contratando, la escogen para el puesto de asistente

El problema es que conoce al jefe y lo ha golpeado no una sino dos veces.
Finn no estaba interesado en ninguna mujer hasta que ve a una y sabe sin conocerla que será la futura señora O'Hare. Lo que no sabe es que ella lo golpearía y al día siguiente la encontraría en su empresa como su asistente.
La suerte está de su lado o no...
Lucía teme perder su empleo en finge que no recuerda a Finn y lo que pasó entre ellos pero él no está dispuesto a despedirla o que finja que no lo recuerda. Él sigue con la loca idea de llevarla a su casa y ella no va a permitirlo.
Sin embargo, mientras la locura también se apodera de ella se pregunta si es verdad que la desea como esposa y si ella puede arriesgarlo todo por él.
Cómo me reí con este libro, EG tiene ese toque de humor en sus libros que me encantan.
Fue prácticamente una comedia romántica de oficina.
Me divertí mucho con Lucía y Finn, una pareja sexy y dulce a la vez.
El epilogo como siempre el pedacito que necesito en sus libros de extra para saber más sobre el futuro de la pareja.
Me encantó y disfruté un montón con este libro y la persecución de Finn y su traje rosa me hizo reír a carcajadas.

Oh Finn and Lucia!!!
Finn knew the moment that he seen Lucia in the restaurant that he was going to marry her. But his inexperience with women had him saying the wrong things at the wrong times that ended up getting him slapped and drinks poured over his head. Now she works for him and his company has rules in place. If he could only get her to make the first move, all would be good.
Finn was absolutely adorable in his attempts to make her happy. Going as far as having a custom suit made in her favorite color. I’ll let you figure out what that color is!! His cluelessness with women added to his character. The only thing that I didn’t like was his attempt to make her jealous. But again, he was clueless and how it was all worded, and the words that were exchanged made it “okay” for me.
“Let me get this straight. You’re hiring me to make your secretary jealous in hopes that she’ll make a move on you because you’re not allowed to as her boss, but I can’t touch you and I can’t do anything that I wouldn’t want to see a girl do with my man.”

Against the Rules by Ella Goode was a quick and fun read. When Finn and Lucia meet, they get off on the wrong foot. Even so, Finn knew he wanted Lucia, but when she becomes his assistant, there is a line drawn as her boss. I just loved Finn’s awkwardness about how to win Lucia. He knew he wanted her, but he kept stumbling against himself. I laughed and enjoyed their journey.

This dirty quickie was just just fantastic. Finn is a complete nut and I laughed so much in this one. Lucky doesn’t make things easy and I could have easily read a full length story on these two. Completely OTT but still a great read.

Reading Against the Rules was like reading a news article written by someone who got high on fumes. Coincidentally, it made it more hilarious to me.

I have one other book by Ella Goode, and while this one uses the classic trope of the office romance, it was also quite fun as the hero is quite oblivious about how to woo a woman.
It was entertaining and at time very amusing.
Finn has reached a peak in his business ascent, but while not looking for a wife, he is immediately certain when he sees Lucia she is the one for him.
From there begging his courting with aplenty of law suits looming at each of his steps. And while he is dirty talker, it was sweet and humorous to watch him pursuing her with one crazy idea after another.
Lucia tries to distance herself from his overwhelming presence but he seems to rise her temper to a top notch level. And while she is insures of what he wants, she slowly realizes there is more behind the appearance.
An amusing and steamy fast read.

Finn no está interesado en las relaciones amorosas, pero cuando una noche conoce a una chica diferente al resto de las que se encuentra en ese lugar, está decidido y deja todo mientras conoce a su futura esposa pero todo sale por cualquier lado... Lucia golpeó (dos veces) al que es su nuevo jefe y ahora no tendrá escapatoria.
Lo que me reí con este libro no tiene nombre, dos cabezotas increíbles, mucho rosa, una conquista difícil y las ideas más locas que puede tener Finn, ideal para leer de noche y acostarse con una sonrisa enorme en la cara.

Finn spots Lucia at a restaurant and sexually propositions her, which offends her so she leaves after smacking him. Then the next day they find out that they work together! So crazy. Anyway now Finn can’t figure out how to hit on his new hot assistant without breaking HR rules, so he tries to goad Lucia into admitting her feelings.
This was fun. Finn is more peppy and light hearted than most heroes. He is still possessive though.
Not sure if I’d keep it, other office romances have more oomph to them.

I just couldn't like the guy, all he is trying to do is get her in bed. At 65% into the book he says to her I get that my approach in the beginning may have turned you off, but I'm serious about getting you into my bed. I added a star to my rating because some of the things that happened in this book were cute.

I liked that this short story had a heroine that was independent and didn't just jump right into bed with the Hero. I wish there had been more steam, especially towards the end, but other than that, this was a very satisfying read. ❤️
