This is a wonderful collection of stories! Such a variety and a real showcase of talent in the form. Small nuggets that pack a punch. I really love waking up every morning to tuck into a story or two, and be inspired.
I've never read a flash fiction anthology before, it was very interesting. I found myself dipping in and reading two or three stories at a time. There are too many to pick out favourites.
The way you can tell that I've read an excellent flash piece is the involuntary Hnnh sound I make at the back of my throat at the end of the story. Reading Root, Branch, Tree was a very vocal experience -- it was just that good. I've been working my way through this anthology series and haven't been disappointed yet!
