“I’ve never seen a man like him before. He’s tall and strong with dark wavy hair and a beard to match. I can’t see his eyes from here, but I’m sure they’re just as beautiful as his jawline. He has on a black hat and a wonderful smile”.Layla recently moved to the quaint town of Morro Bay to escape the glamorous Los Angeles lifestyle. She finds herself in a whole new world when she meets Leo Anderson, the man of her dreams. He is the perfect gentleman and knows how to treat a lady right, but he seems to have some trouble follow him around.Layla easily falls in love with Leo, but Morro Bay isn’t big enough for him and the town creep, Sam Murphy. A string of unfortunate events presents themselves to the new love birds, leaving one of them … broken hearted.
This is a amazing debut book. I finished this it in one sitting. I just could not put it down. It had it's hooks in me from page one. This book was written beautifully with amazing detail that made you feel like you were in a the small town of Morro Bay. I felt like I could smell the sea and feel it on my skin. Leo and Layla perfect chemistry from the second they meet. I enjoyed their slow burn, and their fire once it ignited. There are friendships, found family, and emotions that just this book perfect! If Leo is just the beginning of Rose D. Bentley's writings, I cannot wait to see what is next.
