Carter Jones, the school nerd, and Killian Henderson, the reputated troublemaker, somehow end up getting detention together.
"How about we make a bet?" Offered Killian, his pistachio-green eyes drilling into mine as a playful smile lingered on his lips.
"A bet?" I gulped, intimidated by how close he was sitting next to me.
He nodded and raised four fingers, the ones with the letters "Y.O.L.O" tattooed on them, wriggling them in front of me with his ever-so-confident grin.
It was so cringe and tbh there were many typos but idc. I'm a sucker for cliches and we queer people also deserve our cute little cringe love stories, and this was one of them so I enjoyed it fully.
(Let me preface with saying my Wattpad book ratings are different, meaning they are not as harsh)
Was this book cringy? Yes. Did it have an insane amount of grammatical errors? Yes. Did I finish it in one sitting? Also yes.
I was in the mood for a quick good M/M romance and that was exactly what I was delivered. I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire book, the chemistry HAD ME BLUSHING.
Carter is definitely a character I love and he’s so cute but he could be super annoying. ESPECIALLY with the stuttering, like it’s gotta go. Now Killian my man is a pro at giving me butterflies with everything he says, I freaking love him. (Besides that bitch ass tattoo he has on his knuckles)🫠 All in all they are just so cutie pie together and I will 100% be doing a reread in the future.❣️
Now for my fav side character which has to be Francisco, HES SO FUNNY AND I JUST ADORE EVERYTHING HE DOES. TBH none of the other side characters really stuck out to me and some of them I HATED. *Cough* *Cough* Eshe.
The thing that pissed me of most was ‼️NO SMUT‼️ like my gosh I read all of that for her to just skip over it??? I was livid and incredibly disappointed. There were also a lot of loose ends in the story that were never really explained.
This book is not Shakespeare obviously but it definitely is one of my fav M/M romances I have ever read. (Sometimes it’s not a good book but it’s 5 STARS ANYWAYS)
Not to mention the comments on Wattpad are so funny to read while you go through this story, so I definitely recommend reading it on there.😭
It was cute story I loved it though there were not much smut scene but the chemestry between them was fire i finished it in one sitting it is a good book to get you out of your slump
Sooo I didnt read the full version of this cuz I read the shortened Whattpad version but like...this book is adorable. The characters actually have personalities and nearly everything they do is 100% in character which is great. The whole time I was reading this book though Carter was basically just a male version of me and it made reading this very interesting 😂 4 stars cuz I hate the Jenna chapter and characters just like appear and disappear with little to no purpose of being there...
This literally feels like a cheesy YA Netflix rom-com. It is fast paced, keeps you hooked & sometimes all you need is a gay romance xD. This will definitely get you out of your reading slump.
i decided to reread this one bc i reread the class prince and i remember liking this one too so i thought i’d go again! and tbh they are veeeery similar books, more so than i initially thought, again the mature chapter was not on wattpad and i would’ve had to pay to read it along with the sequel with is annoying as usualllll, tbh it’s good but similarly to the class prince it really needed to be a slower burn and more dragged out, near the end i felt like their relationship was kinda just thrown together and there wasn’t really enough development time, i’m only pointing out the bad bits here though lol obviously it was still a 4 star book that i would read again but if it were to ever be published i would hope that it gets a bit of editing to make it longer and more developed!
The whole troublemaker-alpha-boy falls for the school nerd was really cute, but I kind of kept expecting something more? It was so... easy, predictable. Idk, I would have liked a little more depth both in their feelings (too many mixed signals 🚩😭) and in their relationships.
I felt like some characters were just useless, introduced but with no purpose at all. There's that "dear friend" who calls once at the beginning and the random boy who flirts with Carter at the end. And then they were gone 👻
However I enjoyed the book, it's well written, sweet and funny. Some parts were so hilarious, they had me cracking up. Good story to take your mind off for a bit.
I also liked the stutter. I don't often read about characters stuttering so 💟
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Terrible character development, typos and sentence structure issues that are impossible to overlook, and the mature scene (which was already weird because theyre kids) was so repetitive and awkward. Its only getting the second star because I was able to finish reading it and the plot wasnt the worst thing ever.
I'm so sorry but there's much better wattpad bxb books out there. I recommend The Dutch Boy by Pixie022, Knight by hipstateasee, The Death of Antinous by audreyhornesheart, and Conan the Dandelion by letsgohomehidee.
This book made me feel so conflicted. My friend forced me to read it while at a CSI summer camp purely based on how cringey it is. She isn’t wrong…HOWEVER it’s lowkey iconic anyway. The use of “smol bean” made me way too angry though.
It was cringey and at some places cliche But it was also iconic and cute Carter was so adorable and cute I absolutely loved when Killian rejected carter as he was drugged and drunk Also fransisco appeared for one chapter but he was love 😂 And Killian being carter's fourth and last dare, loved them
This was a hot mess. And I don't mean that I any positive or endearing way. Even though it said it was a published version, it still had all the Wattpad comments and intros and outros and typos and... Just a mess.
Absolutely loved it, one of my favorite tropes, the character's contrasting nature makes the story so much more interesting, finished it in one day, kept me hooked, the perfect description with minute details.
i cannnottt this was so corny 😭😭😭 like the epitome of wattpad corniness. so i still love it. HELP If only the author could write female characters without making them all bitches and villains 🙄
I AM GETTING SM SECOND HAND EMBARRESSMENT READING THIS OMG KILL ME
